an instance of SCP 4192-1

Item #: SCP-4192

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4192-1 and SCP 4192-2 are contained in site 19, in separate safe class containment cells. SCP-4192-1 is to be kept under subzero temperatures at all times. A temperature of -18°C is recommended, however, SCP-4192-1 is completely inert as long as it is kept under 0°C. SCP 4192-2 is to be kept in a climate controlled room under STP, with 0% humidity, and is kept in a manila file folder.

Description: SCP-4192 is three homemade, McRib style sandwiches, and a single laminated sheet of A4 printer paper, with a recipe for said sandwiches printed on one side, the sandwiches are to be referenced as SCP-4192-1, and the recipe as SCP-4192-2. SCP-4192-1 are boneless rib sandwiches composed of a white bread bun, and a single piece of cooked rib covered in a dark red sauce. The sauce is composed of 500 ml of reduced human blood, and the ribs are human in origin. SCP-4192-1 instances are completely inert when frozen, and when consumed frozen, have no anomalous effects. If an instance of SCP-4192-1 is consumed when above 0°C, it will remove an amount of bone from the subject equivalent to the weight of the sandwich. The current three instances of SCP-4192-1 weigh 272, 362, and 498 grams respectively, and are not to be consumed under any circumstances. Bone loss from SCP-4192-1 takes between 5-10 minutes after consumption to take effect, and typically removes whole bones at once, any remnant weight amounts are typically taken in chunks from random bones throughout the body, or in smaller finger and toe bones. Almost all subjects are left deaf, as the ossicles bones in the ear are very commonly removed to make up remnant weight. The removal process is instant, and painless. Bones removed are sent to a field outside ██████████ in rural Nebraska, and seem to be assembling an anomalous structure of unknown purpose. This structure is currently being monitored and contained by MTF Epsilon-6, but is also under investigation by MTF Delta-5 due to possible ties to ██████████, or possible cult activities. This site is currently designated as SCP-4192-Alpha, however, it requires much more investigation as although 4192 has been contained, human bones continue to appear at a rate of roughly one every forty five minutes. SCP-4192-Alpha requires further investigation. SCP-4192-2 is a recipe for the production of SCP-4192-1. It is printed on a single sheet of laminated A4 paper, it consists of the recipe, and a detailed pentagram style image printed on the lower half of the paper. If the recipe is followed from SCP-4192-2 or a copy of SCP-4192-2, it will create an instance of SCP-4192-1 by removing a section of rib flesh, and 500 milliliters of blood from the subject following said recipe. These will replace the pork ribs, and barbecue sauce called for by the recipe. SCP-4192-2 is flame and heat resistant (see incident 4192-2-1), although to what level is unknown, however, copies of 4192-2 will not be effected in any way, and are easily disposed of by incineration.

Addendum A: Recovery

  • Incident 4192-1-1: the initial instance of SCP-4192-1 is recovered half eaten from a house in ██████████. The resident of said house, "Subject A", a human male, dated to 33 years old, is found with it's entire skull, and several of the vertebrae from it's spine missing. Evidence points to an additional instance of SCP-4192-1 being consumed prior to the recovered sample. Shortly after the sample was recovered, the house was burnt down due to unknown reasons, although some form of foul play is suspected by MTF Delta-5.
  • an agent from the initial recovery provides a description of Incident 4192-1-1: "Subject A was slumped over the table, his head and neck seemed to made of jello, the flesh had … pooled … slightly on the surface of the table. It's head seemed shapeless, almost like a sac, or a water balloon. It's still stuck in my head, like the image was burned into my mind." The agent was later given amnestics, and transferred to a different site, as they were discovered to have become obsessed with SCP-4192.
  • Incident 4192-2-1: MTF Epsilon-6 examines the burnt remains of the house from Incident 4192-1-1, and finds the original copy of SCP 4192-2 buried in the rubble, it is completely unharmed, and is immediately confiscated, and brought to site 19 for testing and containment, along with the first instance of SCP 4192-1.

Addendum: Test Log

  • Test 4192-2-A: A D class personal is given SCP-4192-2, along with ingredients for assembly, and instructed to follow the recipe. Upon completion, the symbol on the sheet glows, and the subject pales, before collapsing. The subject is pronounced dead due to blood loss after the room has been cleared, a rectangle of flesh and bone has been removed from the subjects rib cage, exactly 6x14cm, perfectly removing the ribs and associated flesh. Upon examination of the created 4192-1 instance, It is found to be composed of the subjects missing ribs, cooked to the specifications of the recipe, and a "sauce" of the subjects blood. The subject is examined, and an additional 500 ml of blood is found missing.
  • Test 4192-1-A: A D class personal is instructed to consume an instance of SCP 4192-1. Five minutes and 36 seconds after consumption, the subject losses it's femur and patella from it's left leg, three carpals and five metacarpals from the right hand, and all three ossicles bones in the left ear, leaving the subject completely deaf on the left side. The subject is given medical treatment, and is found perfectly healthy other than the missing bones. The subject had a hip joint replacement attached to their femur, which was also lost along with the femur.
  • Test 4192-1-B: A D class personal with GPS tracking nodes surgically attached to their bones is presented with five instances of SCP-4192-1, and instructed to consume as many as they can. They consume three instances before stopping. 9 minutes and 47 seconds later, the subject losses their skull, mandible, neck vertebrae, all ribs on the right side of the chest, and seven phalanges from the fingers. The subject dies almost immediately. The bones are tracked to SCP-4192-Alpha, and MTF Epsilon-6 is sent to investigate. A notice is issued that further testing of all SCP-4192-1 and -2 instances are to cease, and the remaining three 4192-1 instances are placed under containment and frozen, 4192-2 is placed under containment separately, and may not be accessed without level 3 or above clearance.

Addendum: Exploration log 4192-Alpha

MTF Epsilon-6 is dispatched to examine site 4192-Alpha

Current status: Site 4192-Alpha is under investigation, but has been cordoned off and secured by MTF Epsilon-6, and MTF Delta-5. Researchers Dr. Hayes, and his assistant, Prof. Carter are deployed to Site 4192-Alpha. SCP-4192-1 and 4192-2 instances are not to undergo further testing. They are currently contained, and considered safe objects.
