Object Class: Keter

Special Containment Procedures: At this time, SCP-XXXX events are uncontainable. Foundation agents imbedded in communities are to report any talk of individuals relatives acting “unusually”. See Addendum-XXXX-1. All suspected SCP-XXXX-1-A individuals are to be recovered immediately and contained in a ecluid class humanoid containment chamber for questioning. All recovered instances of SCP-XXXX are to be stored on the floor with the reflective side facing down of a containment chamber with a renforced concrete floor. Any vocalisations heard coming from contained SCP-XXXX instances are to be ignored and the reported instance is to be destroyed. See Addendum-XXXX-2.

Description: SCP-XXXX is an event in which a full body length mirror will be inhabited by an SCP-XXXX-2 being. How the being does this is currently unknown. The conditions for a being to inhabit the mirror are:

  • The mirror must be placed in room that SCP-XXXX-1 (the subject that SCP-XXXX is targeting) uses often e.g. a bedroom or bathroom.
  • SCP-XXXX-1 must live in a building with other members of a religious family related by blood.
  • SCP-XXXX-1 must be a prodominate figure in a religious community e.g. priest.

Once the mirror is inhabited by an SCP-XXXX being and a period of 1-2 months have passed, SCP-XXXX-1-A (A perfect duplicate of SCP-XXXX-1) will emerge from the mirror when SCP-XXXX-1 is standing in front of it and attempt to kill SCP-XXXX-1 by strangulation. Once SCP-XXXX-1 is dead, SCP-XXXX-1-A will dispose of the body by pushing it through the reflective side of the mirror and continue the day as SCP-XXXX-1 normally would. Once SCP-XXXX-1-A has gained the trust of the other members of the family, it will try and coax the rest of the family into the mirror, claiming it’s a way to “get closer to god”. If the family choose to enter the mirror it will seal up, trapping the family inside. If the family refuse to enter the mirror, SCP-XXXX-1-A will attempt to grab a member of the family and drag them through the mirror, sealing it up behind itself.

Although SCP-XXXX-1-A instances look and feel identical to SCP-XXXX-1 individuals, the being are entirely composed of a reflection material similar to glass not yet know to the foundation, in a humanoid shape. This material is wrapped in a organic skin-like material. From this the facial features and hair will grow from, identical to the SCP-XXXX-1 individual. SCP-XXXX-1-A are also much stronger and faster than their SCP-XXXX-1 counterpart. This was shown when SCP-XXXX-1-A, copying a overweight woman in her mid sixties, managed to outrun and fight off two foundation agents.

Experiment XXXX-1:
Procedure: Agent █████ and his family agreed to being used as SCP-XXXX-1 individuals for this experiment. His house was put under surveillance and a mirror known to be previously housing a SCP-XXXX entity was placed in the bedroom of Agent █████. A guard was also stationed outside his room.
Results: After 43 days had passed, SCP-XXXX-1-A emerged from the mirror while Agent █████ was using a hairdryer. Agent █████ managed to hit SCP-XXXX-1-A in the cheek with the hairdryer, causing a chunk of skin to peel off SCP-XXXX-1-A, exposing a large crack. The guard outside heard the commotion and entered the room, proceeding to shoot SCP-XXXX-1-A, who was strangling Agent █████, causing the part of the body that was shot on SCP-XXXX-1-A to shatter.

Experiment XXXX-2:
Procedure: As SCP-XXXX-1-A didn’t seal the mirror doorway before it was a neutralised, another experiment was quickly set up to explore the mirror. D-16231 was equipped with a body mounted camera, an audio recording device and a length of rope attached to a harness around D-16231’s waist.
Results: After threat of termination, D-16231 reluctantly stepped into the mirror. Immediately after stepping into the mirror the feed from D-16231’s camera cut out, leaving only audio being transmitted back. After D-16231 was asked what he can see, he replied back that he was standing in a white empty space, with other different shaped mirrors in line facing the way his mirror was on either side of him, stretching out infinitely. D-16231 than gasped as five beings suddenly rose from the floor, all looking at D-16231. D-16231 reported the figures as being two meters tall and looked to be made of a “reflective metal”, with two shallow holes in their heads, “like eye sockets”. D-16231 then started screaming as the sound of ice forming could be heard. The rope attached to D-16231 was pulled, but it wouldn’t move back until D-16231 stopped screaming. Once he did and the rope was pulled back, the rope was discover to have been snapped from the harness, leaving D-16231 behind. All parts of the rope that was inside the mirror is now entirely composed of the glass like material that SCP-XXXX-1-A beings are made up of.
All further testing denied by Dr █████████

Addendum-XXXX-1
Unusual behaviour of a SCP-XXXX-1-A individuals would consist of:

  • Talking about visiting a “god”
  • Staring into every mirror they come across
  • Spending most of their time in the room with the mirror they emerged from
  • Not eating, drinking or sleeping

Addendum-XXXX-2
Dr ███████, who was assigned to researching SCP-XXXX, was discovered in his office trying to enter SCP-XXXX. Surveillance footage and audio recordings showed a mirror previously housing SCP-XXXX to start speaking to Dr ███████ in an unkown laungage. Dr ███████ then starting clawing at the mirror shouting “ I’m coming ███████, I won’t lose you again”. It is currently being investigated if SCP-XXXX instances can change the image in the mirror to someone who isn’t standing in front of it.
