Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be in a sealed room measuring 10m on every side, stored in its primary chamber, 250m underground, sealed in a 3m thick concrete-walled room with 1m thick doors, as used in multiple sites for access to the HCZ. It is to be unlit by any other sources, except SCP-XXXX itself. If SCP-XXXX is observed rapidly flickering over ███ times per minute, then its primary containment chamber and a 300m vicinity should immediately be evacuated.

Under no circumstances should the chamber be observed while SCP-XXXX is lit, however when it is unlit then observing has been known to produce 2 outcomes: Signal loss in all detection systems (motion and sound detectors, along with CCTV) or a man-like figure, shrouded in pure darkness, simply staring at the camera, motionless. This has been identified as SCP-XXXX-2.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a lightbulb with a worn-away, creme-coloured lampshade. It measures 7.45cm in diameter, at its widest point, and 6.88cm at its tallest point. It seems to instantly go into its 'lights out' phase and an immediate lockdown of its sector is required to be initiated, which would appear as if the item was sentient or self-aware. Its respective SCP-XXXX-2 appears to be a man with bright blue teeth, accompanied by bright green eyes. He seems to be shrouded in darkness and simply stares at the Surveillance Camera, if it remains active. On one record it was noted that the figure stated, '[DATA EXPUNGED]'. It is unknown how he recognised the rank, let alone name of Dr. ███████.

Addendum XXXX-01: SCP-XXXX was found to have smashed out a 2.56m x 3.33m in its concrete containment wall, destroying the lights in the control, decontamination and scanner room surrounding it. It was found to have decapitated Dr. █████ and [REDACTED].

Addendum XXXX-02: SCP-XXXX remained on, without flickering for approximately 13 hours, 47 minutes and 12 seconds. It then continued to blackout for 6 hours, 6 minutes and 6 seconds.
