The Wanderer's Bracelet

Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Keter
Special Containment Procedures: MTF Rho-6 ("Diplomats") is to handle all interactions with instances of SCP-XXXX-1. All other Foundation personnel are to avoid instances of SCP-XXXX-1 if possible, and aid MTF Rho-6 if requested.

All objects remaining from SCP-XXXX-1 incursions must be catalogued and tested for anomalous traits. They are all to be kept in separate Standard Containment Lockers until further containment procedures are devised. Any cross-testing using these objects requires approval from the team captain of MTF Rho-6.

On 18/11/1999, MTF Rho-6 has been given complete authority over all matters concerning SCP-XXXX and its containment.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a plain golden-coloured bracelet, composed of a platinum-gold alloy. It has several visible scratches, and has the shape of a torus. Its circumference has been observed to change with the appendage of SCP-XXXX-1 it is attached to, though it always maintains a thickness of 1cm and a width of 2cm.

Due to the alloy's resistance to corrosion and wear over time, the age of SCP-XXXX cannot be determined precisely from samples taken. However, testimonies by SCP-XXXX-1 instances as well as Foundation records suggest an age of more than 500 years old.

Primarily, SCP-XXXX allows instances of SCP-XXXX-1 to move instantaneously and extradimensionally. After an SCP-XXXX-1 incursion, SCP-XXXX proceeds to 'charge' itself, elevating its Hume level from 80-100 to 600-650 before stopping. Because of its high Hume level, all attempts to contain SCP-XXXX using Scranton Reality Anchors have failed. The rate of increase of the Hume level of SCP-XXXX is constant, though it can take place over a period of 24 hours to 30 days.

The locations of SCP-XXXX-1 incursions are, as current information indicates, effectively random. However, it should be noted that instances of SCP-XXXX-1 always appear in environments survivable for them.1 It is currently hypothesized that the desires of SCP-XXXX-1-X influence the destination of SCP-XXXX, though more information is needed for a confirmation.
