Special Containment Procedures:
A standard barbed-wire fence is to be built surrounding the entrance to SCP-XXXX-A, with one gate. A guard station is to be erected near the gate and staffed by no fewer than two guards at any time. Closed circuit security cameras are to be mounted on the fence to detect any intrusions. Signs are to be placed on the fence indicating dangerous levels of carbon monoxide in the area.
Description:
SCP-XXXX is an inscription measuring approximately 1 meter by 0.4 meters carved into the wall of a cavern located in ████████ New Mexico, designated SCP-XXXX-A. Anyone who looks directly at the inscription perceives it to be written in the oldest language they are fluent in. The the message of the inscription can be consistently translated as "If everything is configured properly, you should be able to see this message." or something to similar effect. This property is only present when viewing the inscription in person. Photographs and rubbings are consistent with each other, and show that the inscription is written in an as of yet unknown language.
