Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4365 is currently in sector-19 in isolated containment. No personnel or living animal should enter in contact with the object.
Descripition: SCP-4365 is a sphere of metallic appearance, measuring 25cm in diameter. While isolated of any contact with species of the animal kingdom, the object will not manifast any anomalous behaviors. Upon proximity with animal species, it will start to levitate, reaching the maximum height of 1,07 meters, where it will remain as long as it is close to, or enters in contact with the subject.
If any human or animal touches SCP-4365, it will start being pulled by a centripedal-like force, stretching the affected around the sphere. The subject being affected by this will be unable to separate itself from SCP-4365 and will continue to be pulled, it's body looping around the sphere, covering it entirelly. The body, now referred to as SCP-4365-1, will become disfigurated as it surrounds the object. Throughout the whole process, SCP-4365-1 remains concious, showing extreme distress. After completely covering the sphere, light movements can still be observed from SCP-4365-1. Any inorganic matter in its body, like clothing, will eventually be "ejected" off the sphere as the body distorts around SCP-4365.
While SCP-4365-1 begins to cover the sphere, SCP-4365 will proceed to levitate higher and to rotate in place, now manifesting an attractive force on other subjects, which upon contact will go throught the SCP-4365-1 process.
Upon reaching a certain mass, equivalent to 9-10 average adult humans, it will undergo changes in shape. The flesh stretched around SCP-4365 will start losing some features of the SCP-4365-1, turning the surface more spherical. Blood and other fluids will start forming pools along the sphere, hard body parts like bones and teeth will concetrate and pile in certain points, and hair or fur will gather above parts of the flesh. When the process is done, SCP-4365, now designed SCP-4365-2, resembles a planet, with different part of flesh for continents, bodily fluids for oceans, rivers and lakes, bones for moutains, hair or fur for forests and various gases and vapor for clouds. It's surface layout is similar to earth, becoming more accurate the more biomass it gains. Even in this state, the SCP-4365-1s still exhibit light movements, but it's unclear if they are conscious. After having a mass of around 12 human adults withing it, SCP-4365-2's gravitation field will reach ranges up to 7 meters, the pull strenght being around 7 m/s² g, until the very edge of the range, when it falls off completely. The sphere seems to levitate higher as it gains mass, always keeping the outer surface 1,07 meters above ground.
SCP-4365-2 will remain rotating in place, and if it can acquire no more matter, after around 4 days, it will start decaying, with it's components going through normal decomposing effects, losing altitude and attraction force. Eventually all SCP-4365-1 will decompose, and SCP-4365 will remain in the ground. No other effects were observed from SCP-4365, considered safe if isolated from contact with any living animal.
Addendum: On 12/05/2017, SCP-4365 was found in a forested area south of Arizona, USA, after reports reached the state police reporting the death of a forest ranger, killed by a "flying orb". After the information reached the foundation, MTF Epsilon-6 was sent to the locale. Upon arriving, SCP-4365 was found on the ground, surrounded by a black substance, as well as parts of the ranger uniform. The object was secured in a container and brought to facility ████ for research.
I still can't believe I've been assigned to this research! My guess is that they are short-staffed, and my basic physician degree counted for something, but from the reports, this seems like a once in a lifetime experience! I've even been given a team to help with research as well as 3 D-class personnel to work with! Well this is my log so better start being professional.
Day 1: I've sent the 3 D-class into the chamber where SCP-4365 is located. As they aproached the object it started to lift off of the ground. When told to touch the object, the D-class hesitated but, eventually, one of them decided to touch. The d-class, guess I'll reffer to him as D-01, started to show disconfort as his hand started to be pulled by the object, and he eventually started screaming for help. One of the other D-class, I guess now D-02, started trying to help pull him off of the object, but he didnt succeed and let go as D-01's body was almost completely surrounding SCP-4365, but seemed unable to move away, as if being pulled by a force, and eventually touched the sphere now covered by D-01, going through the same process.
The remaining d-class, D-03, started to panic and to beat at the door trying to leave. I told one of the 2 guards assigned to scort them here to threaten him, to make him aproach SCP-4365, and after a while he did, originally trying to stay further from it than the other 2 D-class, but suddenly losing balance, he started being pulled closer, eventually being assimilated to the sphere of flesh. It seems clear that SCP-4365 generates a pull force of some sort after merging with a person, as well as it starts levitating further from the ground. This force does not affect other inorganic objects, of the researches used a plant in a jar he had in his office, but the force didn't work on it either, reforcing the idea that it only affects animals, including humans. The flesh of the D-class now covers the whole object, and some movements of the tissue can be seem, as well as grunts can be heard, so they might still be alive, that's fascinating! I will have to request more subjects, there might be more to be seem"
Day 3: Today there are 5 D-class. Taking in consideration my first report, these are clearly expendable, so I sent them in right away. Obviously they were visibly shaken by the sight, but after being ordered to aproach the object by the guards, they complied. They didn't need to go too close before SCP-4365 started pulling them, it's definitelly much stronger and pulling from further away. I won't bother numbering these d-classes, they were pulled one after the other, becoming what the other researches named SCP-4365-1. SCP-4365 now levitates even higher, and the bodies surrouding it seem to move and lose form, as if trying to create other shapes, and the sphere seems to rotate around itself! This research needs to continue, it's clear that something is happening, hopefully they can give me more subjects to work with.
Day 6: Took a bit but they finally gave me 2 D-class personnel. It's not much but it seems this research already cost too many lives for so little that we gained, hopefuly today we can get some progress.
I've sent the 2 D-class in. One started to move towards the object and the other stayed close to the door. The first one started being pulled, and was assimilated to the mass almost instantly. The second D-class started asking to be let out, but before we ordered him to aproach, we could see something happening to SCP-4365. The SCP-4365-1s started shifting even more, separating different parts and substances from the bodies. The change took around 30 minutes, and at the end, I still can't believe it but, it looks like a planet! With flesh for continents, and seas of blood, moutains of bones and forests of hair, it even seems to evaporate some of the liquid making its own atmosphere! This is simply incredible! I ordered the other D-class to aproach, but he refused. I can understand, but we need to see what more this thing can do! After many threats, he started moving slowly towards it, until the force of, what we call now SCP-4365-2, lifted him off the ground and absorbed him in a few seconds, then its form started to change a bit, getting more landscapes, looking a bit more like earth. It seems to lack more parts to acuratelly depict it, but I'm sure it is trying to create a miniature of earth. That's fascinating, we need to continue! I'll ask for more personnel, hopefully they will also see that we NEED to allow it to progress further.
Day 7:They won't give me anything, we are now to just observe and see what we can get of this. This is absurd! We are so close, who knows what will happen when this thing completes what it's trying to do! We need more, at this rate this will just be contained somewhere and forgotten about! I will ask again, we just need anything, anyone, animals or whatever, we need to continue!
Day 10: It's no use, it's clearly dying, the movements are stopping, and the rotation is slowing down. They didn't give me anything, and my team started being called to other facilities one by one. I need to see what happens next. What happens there. Are they conscious? Any attempt at communication failed. They are still moving, even if they are slowing down. I need to know. I NEED to! I need to go there and see for myself. Yes, this can't end here.
Research Facility ████, 05/06/2017, SCP-4365 Chamber: On 29/05/2017, Dr. Hindel, head of the research team assigned to this location, entered the chamber cointaining SCP-4365-2. He was pulled into the sphere, together with a guard who tried to stop him. SCP-4365-2 went through more modifications, and it's gravitional field started to reach the boundaries of the chamber, measuring 7.40 x 8.00 meters. With risk of affecting those outside of the chamber, no more subjects where allowed to enter it, and the research team continued observation of SCP-4365-2 effects. After 5 days without receiving more mass, SCP-4365-2 showed advanced signs of decay, and at 16:00, 02/06/2017, it was back at it's original state, with the remains of SCP-4365-1 around it, resembling a dark, gelatinous substance. No other anomalous effects were observed the next 3 days, and SCP-4365 was deemed safe to contain, and relocated to sector-19.
