Item #: SCP-5156
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: [Paragraphs explaining the procedures]
Description: SCP-5156 is a 4m x 4m x 4m cuboid biological mass located in a cavern beneath Ypsilanti, MI. Genetic testing has determined the composition of SCP-5156 to consist of the skin, muscle, hair, and sensory organs of over 100 different species, including Homo sapiens1, Ailuropoda melanoleuca2, and Homo erectus3. Based on the genetic diversity and timescale of the tissues sampled, it is theorized that SCP-5156 may have existed since the late Paleozoic period.
SCP-5156 does not appear to need food, water, or oxygen. While SCP-5156 lacks any means of locomotion, it can expand and mold itself, reaching maximum dimensions of 45.75m x 45.75m x 4m. When approached by a biological entity, SCP-5156 utilizes such expansion, and reconfigures itself into a labyrinth. As of 08/02/2020, no two configurations of SCP-5165 have been identical, with the exception of the central endpoint of the maze.
Once a biological entity has entered SCP-5165, it has approximately 10 minutes to reach the center of SCP-5165.
