Item #: SCP-NULL
Object Class: Euclid Keter
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-NULL is to remain in an open box stored inside of a normal detention cell with a large glass window for observation. There is to be surveillance of the access door to SCP-NULL to monitor all personnel to access SCP-NULL. Anyone with Clearance Level 3 can authorize an experiment.
SCP-NULL is to remain, except during testing, in a lead-lined steel case with an electronic locking system. The box is to be placed on a concrete pedestal located in the center of any room padded with no less than 20mm of psychiatric-grade padding on all walls, the floor, and the ceiling. There are to be no windows or openings in the room. Mandatory inspections of the room's integrity are to be biweekly. No less than four armed security personnel trained in close-quarter combat tactics are to accompany and protect any maintenance staff only if anyone in the room is confirmed to be wearing any instance of SCP-NULL.
There are to be a minimum of two armed security personnel with Security Clearance 3/NULL protecting the door to SCP-NULL at any given time. When an experiment is taking place SCP-NULL, there is to be no Foundation personnel with or above Clearance Level 4 within the room. Any experiment will use one D-Class personnel, with no less than one month between experiments, unless otherwise specified by a member of the O5 Council. For a full history of experiments, please see Addendum NULL-1: Experiment History.
Description: Originally located inside SCP-087 during [DATA EXPUNGED], this SCP was named SCP-087-2, until its renaming on ██/07/1993. SCP-NULL is a small, white glove fitted for the left hand of a humanoid. The dimensions of the glove appear to be about 25cm x 25cm x 1cm. The glove is clearly visible to a human subject even when the environment is devoid of light. While it is unclear if other entities can see the glove in the dark environment, they have shown no interaction nor any acknowledgement of the glove.
Whenever a human comes into contact with SCP-NULL, the glove is automatically fitted to the subject's left hand, despite the size of their hand. This contact does not need to be direct, and the subject does not need to be conscious, for the glove to fit to their hand. The original glove does not move, instead a new instance of SCP-NULL, named SCP-NULL-1, is the glove that fits onto the subjects hand. After questioning, the subject appears to be controlled by another entity. The subjects being controlled by an instance of SCP-NULL-1 are to be called SCP-NULL-2.
SCP-NULL-2 is indeed stronger and possess greater physical attributes than their original selves, but more interestingly seem to be able to change the chemical composition of any humans to come into contact with them. The change has not been effective on any other organism, living or dead. The change usually turns those unfortunate enough to come into contact with SCP-NULL-2 into a metallic substance, typically iron or silver. Inspection of these new statues revealed them to be imperfect, having rough surfaces and no facial features. Every statue has anatomically correct insides. Autopsies revealed the organs to be dead, but not effected by decomposition.
The entity inside SCP-NULL seems to want to return home, and calls to its "mother". It also appears to require the statues it makes, hiding them in an unknown location. The prevailing idea is a pocket dimension, but whenever SCP-NULL-2 interacts with its statues, any video recording of it is corrupted. There is no eyewitness accounts of SCP-NULL-2 interacting with its statues either.
SCP-NULL-2 expires at approximately twenty-four hours after initial contact, with the corresponding instance of SCP-NULL-1 disappearing. SCP-NULL-2 can die only if all parts of the body is destroyed simultaneously. See Addendum NULL-2: Breach of [DATA REDACTED] for more information.

Request: Experiment of SCP-NULL
Requested By: Doctor ███████
Date: 05/12/1993
Location: Site-81
Extra Notes: One (1) D-Class person to wear SCP-NULL. Effects will be documented. Agent █████ will oversee experiment.
Status: Granted
D-10897 enters room 73 and finds SCP-NULL and approaches it. D-10897 comments on the glove being to small to wear, told to put it on by Agent █████ or be terminated. D-10897 complies, but upon touching SCP-NULL D-10897 appears to immediately have SCP-NULL on his left hand, larger than the original. Upon inspection, SCP-NULL is still in its box, the new glove is coined SCP-NULL-1. Below is a transcript of what happened next.
Doctor ███████: D-10897, do you feel any changes?
D-10897: [no response]
Agent █████: Reply D-10897, you really should listen to the doc.
D-10897: [no response]
Agent █████ whispers to an armed guard, who enters the cell and aims at D-10897
D-10897 looks at the armed guard, whispers [DATA CORRUPTED]
Audio returns, D-10897 hits guard, turning him into a metallic statue, later found to be iron
Agent █████: What in the hell just happened? Doc, shut it dow—
Glass shattering can be heard, gunshots and screams continue in the background for 34 seconds, then heavy breathing of D-10897
Audio ends
Site-81 was placed in full-site lock down for 25 hours. Reviewing recovered camera data, D-10897 appeared to decay quickly during its rampage, but lost no strength or any other physical attribute. After 24 hours elapsed, D-10897 appears totally mummified and falls over, ending its rampage. Upon collection of D-10897 mummified remains, without SCP-NULL-1. A search of the site for SCP-NULL-1 has returned negative. 5 statues were collected, two of whom were Agent █████ and Doctor ███████.

Agent ████: Sure, yeah yeah… sure. Um… so me and my squad are huntin' this thing down, tryin' to end the lock down quickly. Could get a promotion or a raise if we do, you know how it goes [DATA REDACTED].
Green: Call me Green, please. Save the redactor some work.
Agent ████: Right, sorry, forgot.
Agent ████: So, again, my crew is huntin' this thing and all we hear "mama, where are you" in some… child's voice. Next thing we know this grown ass man turns the corner whisperin' for his mama, calling for [DATA EXPUNGED]. Look Green, I jus' wanna go home, no more of this please! I don't wan' to talk about it man.
Agent becomes visibly distressed

Green: You done yet?
Agent ████: Yeah, I'm done.
Green: So start talking, we need everything you know.
Agent ████: Um, this thing just… it froze 'em, into metal while it touched them. They were cryin' in pain Green… the most bloodcurdlin' screams, until the metal froze over their face… then they kept screamin' for help, under the metal, all muffled like. The screams, those screams… and all I did was run! That's why I'm here, 'cuz I left them… but thing was sayin' somethin' the entire time, recitin'… something… do you know about it?
Green: No I don't. Tell me, what did he say?
Agent ████: It said it wants to… wants to…
Agent ████: Hey Green, how many statues you guys get?
Files are heard shuffling around
Green: 5 statues were recovered.
Agent ████: But… [DATA REDACTED] were killed, where are they?
Green: I cannot tell you.
Agent ████: Where is my team? I deserve to know!
Green: If you do not tell me what he said I will [DATA EXPUNGED]. Tell me, what did D-10897 say?
Agent ████: Fucker… the thing said it wanted them… wants them to finish its project.
Green: What project?
Agent ████: Never said…
Green: Okay, thank you, that's enough.
Interview ended
Afterword: There is more to SCP-NULL than we originally knew. I believe testing should continue, but only when its object class and special containment procedures have been updated. I will place a request as soon as possible, we must learn what this SCP knows. Also, I believe Agent ████ should be administered a class B anesthetic immediately.

Request: A raise of SCP-NULL's object class from Euclid to Keter, stricter special containment procedure.
Requested By: Doctor ██████ "Green"
Date: 07/12/1993
Status: Partial-Denial
Reasoning: Containment procedures weren't sufficient enough, allowed for an easy breach of D-10897 and SCP-NULL.
Actions: SCP-NULL's containment procedure will be updated to reflect the new information gained from the events of 05/12/1993. Please review SCP-NULL's SCP file for updated information. A new containment cell built to the specifications outlined in the updated file is to begin construction immediately.
