Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is currently sealed inside a stainless steel box that has been welded shut, measuring four feet on all sides and three inches thick. On the "top" of the box is a reinforced plexiglass window measuring six inches by six inches. The box is designed in such a way that there is no mechanism to open it. The chamber housing this container is to be guarded by no less than two Foundation personnel at all times. Due to the nature of SCP-XXXX, the door to its containment chamber is not locked. Instead, it is free to open at any time to verify that SCP-XXXX has not breached containment. However, all personnel must pass through a series of metal detectors before entering or leaving SCP-XXXX's chamber.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a metal prosthetic arm composed of primarily steel and iron, with trace amounts of copper and gold. When SCP-XXXX is brought into contact with a locked door, safe, etc. it will emit a faint whirring noise for approximately five seconds. At the end of this time, the affected object will become unlocked through some sort of acausal force. This effect is not limited to mechanical locks; SCP-XXXX is able to bypass passwords, keycard readers, and even biometric scanners. As recorded in test XXXX-32, SCP-XXXX shows no additional anomalous properties when used as a prosthetic.
