Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX to be kept in a 10 m x 10 m fortified holding area in Site-██. The room is to contain one computer, one monitor, several offline video games, activities, and other forms of entertainment. The room must be built with nine 2000-Lumen light bulbs each 4 meters apart each in a grid formation. SCP-XXXX is allowed to make special requests for food, sources of entertainment, and customizations to it's room's appearance or it's own; but must be approved by level 2 clearance personal. Any personnel caught attempting to deliberately provoke SCP-XXXX will be punished accordingly. See Incident XXXX-1-A
Description: SCP-XXXX appears to be a 12 year old boy that stands at 160 cm tall with dark brown hair and pale skin; more notably, it has entirely black eyes with small pupils of a glowing red color. when the mouth is opened, nothing can be seen inside other than its teeth, both the eyes and mouth seem to absorb any/all light shown in to it much like SCP-087. SCP-XXXX can not make sound vocally nor through physical interactions with other items; though it can still communicate due to its understanding of 4 separate languages being English, Spanish, Japanese, and ASL. SCP-XXXX will communicate through writing or sign language.
No Personnel are to induce fear nor extreme anger in SCP-XXXX due to its passive anomalous ability to bend light and darkness. When in a dark or dimly lit room or space with another living creature that is not a plant, SCP-XXXX will freeze in place as its pupils will begin leaking a red vapor (here on referred to as SCP-XXXX-2) that lightly fills the room as the other living subjects in the room or space will begin experiencing great sensations of fear toward SCP-XXXX; this feeling will grow more and more until subjects are unconscious or dead. SCP-XXXX-2 immediately fades away when in contact with bright light.
Subjects experiencing SCP-XXXX's affects will
- not attack SCP-XXXX
- not respond to reason
- not try to leave the area/room
- not turn on any lights
- not willingly make sound
- and will in most cases end up hiding in a corner avoiding eye-contact with SCP-XXXX.
- On rare occasion, subjects (if sentient) will begin incomprehensibly muttering. (after recording this and showing it to SCP-XXXX, [DATA EXPUNGED].)
This can all be avoided or negated if enough light is brought into the room, though sometimes, that is not enough, when SCP-XXXX feels a heightened sense of fear, anger, or agitation, shadows will immediatly begin to grow and take the entire room over until it is dark enough for SCP-XXXX's effects to take place. SCP-XXXX has stated that it does not intend for these things to happen and it's out of their control, after which it apologizes profusely to anyone who were under its effects. If subjects survive SCP-XXXX's effects, whether they pass out or light is brought in to bring them out, they will not recall anything but a slight fleeting sense of fear. Constant light causes a growing feeling of agitation in SCP-XXXX unless somehow distracted from it. The most effective way to achieve this is entertainment. If this is not achieved, SCP-XXXX will begin to darken the room to a more comfortable lighting which is dark enough for it's anomalous effects to take place.
SCP-XXXX was found and contained in the city of Salem, MA, USA, at 1330 10/31/██. SCP-XXXX was wandering in broad daylight blending in by following two others who were in costumes. SCP-XXXX was wearing a vampire costume at the time. About twenty-three hours later, the costume it was wearing changed into a white-spotted red hoodie, a black fleece, a pair of black pants, a fedora, and a teal T-shirt with white text, "classically trained" over a picture of a Nintendo entertainment system. (Clothes are not anomalous in any way, SCP-XXXX claims this is not its own doing.)
