Forget Meme Not

Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Safe Thaumiel
Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-XXXX is to be secured in a High Security Bio-Containment safe in O5-01's office. This safe can be opened only by O5-01. This includes other members of the O5 council.
Description:
SCP-XXXX is a bottle of Blue capsules, labeled "Forget Meme Not". The name "Dado" is handwritten at the base of the label. Upon being taken, subject will be immune to all known mimetic hazards. They will also be immune to some Cognito, Info, and Unclassified Mental Hazards (primarily those that affect memory and recall). They will also be immune to all known forms of amnestics, and will possess a complete and perfectly clear memory going back to birth (some report memories from inside the womb). They will further be unable to forget anything in the future. Users also report increased "clarity" of recall, demonstrating skills such as reading lips being able to identify objects at distances beyond what would normally be resolvable by the human eye in there memories. With the inability to forget or have impact of experience fade, insanity is the inevitable result of service to the foundation. This is not anomalous.
Time to insanity varies between 6 months and a record of 5 years; in one case, insanity onset was immediate. Any current user must undergo psychological evaluation once per week, without exception. Refusal to be evaluated is grounds for immediate containment or termination.
Standard procedure is for current O5-01 to take a dose of SCP- and to thereafter monitor the council for signs of mimetic infection. O5-01 shall be charged with containment for all SCP articles where memetic immunity is required. If ordered by O5-01, the council is to be amnestized immediately and over their objections, then O5-01 is to be immediately contained as an SCP.
Acquisition Log: SCP- was acquired after what appears to have been a raid on a sealed chamber at "Sullivan Labs", located at █████, on ██/██/1983. All documents on site were incomplete, with no complete sentences visible. Pills were found on counter, unopened. Sudden appearance of a room no one knew existed was relayed to Foundation by FBI UIU.
+ Warning Lethal Hazard. SCP- users only
Note: an additional 5 pills were acquired in a raid on an Anderson Robotics facility on ██/██/1995.

Test Log:
Due to tile on the bottle, a relationship to mental effects was inferred. 30 pills were in the bottle on acquisition.

Pill Subject Result
30 D-1005Caucasian Male Subject reported remembering his birth. Subject exposed to SCP-███, ████, ████, and ███ . No effect noted from memetics, including kill algorithms. Non-memory effecting hazards were effective. Subject given class D amnestics with no effect. Terminated.Note: Amnestic immunity appears to be conveyed by SCP-XXXX. Subject could recall all life details with better than perfect recall.
29 D-3642 Subject immediately began shaking uncontrollably, screaming about ██████, and foaming at the mouth. Grand Mal seizure ensued. Subject died of heart attack. Extreme Fear response.Note: Subject had just finished serving 110 Montauk duty and was scheduled for termination, but was issued class C amnestic to mitigate mental damage before test. Subject of screams was 110 Montauk. Recommend subjects with 110 Montauk exposure not be used. Reversal of prior amnestic exposure established.
African Male
28 D-256LAboriginal Female Subject displayed previously observed recall in excess, including what are believed to be pre-birth memories. Subject previously assigned to SCP-██ and ███. Subject contained for long term effect analysis. Subject displayed increasing signs of trauma and interviews revealed details related to her SCP exposure. Subject mental state rated as poor after 2 days. Subject mental state rated as clinically insane at 1 week 3 days. Subject attempted suicide at 1 week 5 days. Terminated at 2 weeks.Note: Subject continued to talk about SCP-███ more and more as mental state degraded. Evaluation suggests she was perfectly recalling details and experience with this SCP on a loop, leading to insanity.
27 Samsara 3 During breach of SCP-868 (prior to loss of originating site, See Incident Report 868-7), Samsara was assigned to site investigation. Due to knowledge that the threat was mimetic in nature, O5 council authorized issuing of SCP-XXXX to Samsara to allow them to investigate without risk. Pills 27-24 withdrawn. Upon taking pill, Samsara 3 began screaming in an unknown language (possibly proto Babylonian, then deployed full arsenal against all present. Remaining Samsara members engaged in suppression efforts. All personnel lost. Samsara 1, 3 lost. Samsara 3 reloaded with previous memory set.Note: Samsara members are not to be given SCP-XXXX under any circumstances. The total recall element of the pills appears to be responsible.
