Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a room that was fully illuminated beforehand, currently in SCP facility [DATA EXPUNGED]. If transporting, any method will do, as long as it's fully illuminated at all times. In the event of a power outage or any other reason for darkness, seal the room it is kept in and have it be transported by personnel of Level 1 or higher, equipped with breathing gear and a knowledge of how SCP-XXXX was positioned in the room.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a regular tetrahedron with a near-black surface similar to obsidian, with dark purple streaks that change randomly every day. Ultrasound reveals it has a hollow interior. If SCP-XXXX is placed in a semi- or fully enclosed room that is mostly in darkness, all light will cease inside the room, and no light can be produced inside the room. The object then produces an unknown asphyxiant from an unknown source that can suffocate within a minute. Without any infrared light, the room temperature can descend to limits of 236 Kelvin, or -35 Fahrenheit. All attempts at producing light inside a room affected by SCP-XXXX have failed.

When SCP-XXXX is damaged it will regenerate at a rate proportional to how severely it was damaged. All attempts at reaching the hollow center have resulted in the tools used being absorbed by the object, and after placing tracking chips inside some of the tools of destruction, seemingly ceasing to exist. If the room around SCP-XXXX is destroyed or removed, the effect will still persist where the room once was.

SCP-XXXX was discovered in █████, United Kingdom, inside of an condemned train station, on ██,██,[REDACTED]. Several bodies were found there, all dead from asphyxiation. The area was completely typical for a train station, other than SCP-XXXX. SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a separate facility from SCP-173 at all times. All tests requested on SCP-XXXX when fully illuminated are to be accepted, and monitored by two (2) Level 1 guards or higher to observe the test.

Test 15a - 5/16/20██

Subject: SCP-XXXX
Procedure: D-65201 is to attempt to damage SCP-XXXX using his hands.
Results: After 2 minutes, 34 seconds of D-65201 attempting to damage SCP-XXXX, progress is being made. 4:02 into the test, SCP-XXXX is starting to regenerate faster than D-65201 can damage. D-65201 reports that his hands are being covered and he is getting pulled in. 4 seconds later, when his hands are fully covered, his whole body [DATA EXPUNGED].
