Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be placed in a standard anomalous containment unit. One non-scottish guard is to remain outside of SCP-XXXX’s containment chamber at all times. A 5-Digit weapon case containing SCP-XXXX’s sword is to remain next to SCP-XXXX at all times. The code is only forwarded to research staff assigned to SCP-XXXX. As of XX/XX/18, no D-Class are allowed to interact with SCP-XXXX or SCP-XXXX-1.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a statue depicting a traditional Scottish Highlander from the battle of Killiecrankie. The statue is covered with various types of natural growths. Such as weeds, grass, and flowers. The statue appears to be sitting upright “taking a knee," holding a large Highlands Claymore in its right hand. Along with a bowl in the other.
SCP-XXXX-1 is a voice that resonates from the inside of SCP-XXXX. The voice usually speaks an unknown variant of Icelandic. But, if the language is understood, can be translated easily. If someone that is not of Scottish descent enters a room containing SCP-XXXX, it will begin threatening them. Insults vary, but the most common threats said by SCP-XXXX-1 is “Þú ert dauður (“You are dead.”) and “ÉG DREP ÞIG”. (“I’ll kill you.”)
If someone of Scottish descent enters the room, SCP-XXXX-1 will begin attempting to haggle. Such as saying it will grant wishes or prolong life in return for certain actions. These demands usually consist of assassination attempts on foreign diplomats or swearing their life to the statue. If these demands are met, a trickle of blood will form in the statues bowl.
Upon consumption, the person who completed SCP-XXXX-1’s task will receive their desired wish. These wishes do not seem to have any sort of limit. In one incident, a Scottish D-class testing with SCP-XXXX wished for “All these stupid motherfuckers around me to pay the price for being shit-heads.” Following this, all supervising staff around the D-class found their wallets and bank accounts to be completely empty.
If someone of pure Scottish descent enters a room with SCP-XXXX, the statue will greet them with “dunmaglass,” (a Scottish warcry.) If the phrase is repeated back to SCP-XXXX-1, the sword in SCP-XXXX’s right hand will unlatch itself, SCP-XXXX-1 will say: “taktu það og gerðu mér stolt” (take it and make me proud) The statue will remain silent until the sword is put back in its place.
The sword itself shows various anomalous properties. Scottish wielders of the sword describe it to feel incredibly light. However, non-Scottish wielders describe it to be incredibly heavy and have a sense of dread overcome them while holding it. The sword was put through various tests to see how durable it is. After successfully breaking through twelve kevlar sheets at once, the sword was reported to be incredibly durable.
Although SCP-XXXX-1 is capable of intelligent communication, it refuses to talk to research staff, Scottish or not. Multiple interviews have been attempted with SCP-XXXX-1. But as of XX/XX/18, no one has successfully had a full length conversation with SCP-XXXX-1. SCP-XXXX was discovered in a man made cave 12 meters east of the Killiecrankie battle site. Multiple human corpses in fetal positions faced towards SCP-XXXX, as if praying to it. The corpses dated back to around the 1700’s. One of the corpses had SCP-XXXX’s sword in his hand, and once the sword was put into place by four non-Scottish men SCP-XXXX-1 vocalized itself. Resulting in the containment of SCP-XXXX.
