Special Containment Procedures: [SCP-6772-1's approximate area, plus a safety cordon of 3 square kilometers, has been enclosed in an electrified fence to discourage both human and animal approach. While mundane and incospicous looking, the perimeter fencing has been outfitted with motion and CO2 sensors to detect possible intrusions. The entire area is presented on maps and devices as a military base, used for stockpiling NATO nuclear devices and their byproducts. The dirt road leading to 6772 has been flagged as a military road, which bars civilian access on GPS trackers and apps, and appropriate signage forbidding entry has been posted around the entire perimeter and on the road itself. A joint 30-personnel strong D.A.I.A. and Foundation force (with credentials consistent with NATO procedure) is present 24/7 at the site's entry point and on various strategic locations in the interested area, ready to intervene to prevent a breach in the perimeter.]

Description: [SCP-6772-1 is a village located in the high Arno Valley, in the Appennine Mountains between Tuscany and Emilia Romagna. The village itself is nameless, with no signage being present in the immediate area to indicate its denomination, and Foundation efforts to locate maps, literary works, local folklore or administrative documents that account for its presence have so far been inconclusive¹. Outwardly, 6772-1 is architecturally and urbanistically unremarkable. The village presents a disordered radial structure, with architectural stylings typical of the early to mid fifteenth century urban boom of Tuscany. The village has access to most amenities consistent with modern times, including electricity, satellite television² and basic electronics such as personal computers and tablets; however, internet access is nonexistent, and any attempt at connecting to it through outside-brought electronics result in an immediate and catastrophic mechanical failure.³. Electronic devices already present in the village do not present hardware or software options for web access, and any attempt at tampering with said devices results in comparable mechanic failure.

6772-1 most prominent anomalous property is its influence on the behaviour of possible visitors to the village: individuals introduced to the area of 6772-1 without being briefed on its anomalous properties will find themselves irrevocably drawn to the village and charmed by it. The sentiment is akin to that present in regular tourists visiting a pleasing locale, only much stronger. Visitors (hereby referred to as 6772-3) will forgo eating, drinking and other bodily functions for fear of missing on sights and vistas, and will generally ignore bodily harm, either inflicted upon them by 6772-2 or by accident. Any attempt at removing a 6772-3 instance will result in aggressive behaviour, escalating in murderous violence or self-mutilation as long as the subject is impeded from visiting 6772-1. With this compulsion also manifests a perceived time limit in which 6772-3 instances are allowed to remain in the village. Compelled visitors will adhere to a strict, if random, schedule⁴ , which has a constant length, in all observed instances, of 13 hours and 59 minutes.

As repeated questioning on the matter seems to trigger in 6772-2 a confrontational response, further research on the matter during excursions has been suspended indefinitely.
