Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Keter
Special Containment Procedures: All personnel assigned to SCP-XXXX are to be contained within it at all times. All requests for resources from other Foundation sites are to be denied. Experiments proposed by SCP-XXXX require O5 approval. Foundation agents are to inspect SCP-XXXX once per month to ensure the staff are not engaging in any potentially seditious activities.
The Site Director of SCP-XXXX, Dr. Ryan Barking, is to be escorted by MTF-Sigma-15 ("Traitor's Reward") to a secure location once per month in order to give a report of the activities of SCP-XXXX to the O5 Council and make any requests he wishes. These are to be denied.
Description: SCP-XXXX is Foundation Site-113. Files related to the commissioning of the site state that it was initially created for humanoid containment. At some point all other records pertaining to Site-113 were deleted. Since that time, Site-113 has been operating with little to no oversight. Despite this, Site Director Dr. Ryan Barking has sent multiple requests to the O5 Council requesting appointments to "report" on the site's activities. Site-113 has also sent many requests for resources or proposals for experiments to be carried out. With no information on Site-113, these have all been denied. On October 25th, 1992 MTF-Iota-3 ("Door Knockers") were sent to the site to investigate. On their return they were debriefed and expressed concern that they could not remember any of the events recorded within SCP-XXXX (see SCP-XXXX Exploration Log). They reported an overwhelming sensation that everything was fine, Site-113 was loyal and all their requests should be granted. All members of Iota-3 agreed that this sensation was undoubtedly the result of an anomalous effect and recommended greater scrutiny and harsher sanctions on Site-113. In actuality the initial recommendation of Iota-3 was termination of the entirety of Site-113's staff and detonation of the on-site nuclear warhead, but this recommendation was ignored at least until more concrete evidence of seditious intent is discovered.
After this event it was assumed that Site 113 was compromised. It is assumed that an anti-memetic effect is at work. Testing has proven that even the use of mnestics does not allow individuals to remember the events which occurred upon entry into SCP-XXXX. All subsequent personnel who have visited the site echo the sentiments expressed by Iota-3. It is this memetic property which has led to the realization that something anomalous and potentially insurgent is at work within Site 113, leading to its reclassification as SCP-XXXX.
It should be noted that several files containing reference to Site-113 have mentioned "SCP-XXXX." It is assumed that this site was initially created to house the anomaly which previously held this designation. However, there is at this time no evidence that such an anomaly actually does or has ever existed.
