SCP-XXXX, viewed here on Foundation TrailCam-2B prior to containment.

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a standard quadrupedal containment cell with lead-lined walls. Should SCP-XXXX breach containment, the entity is to be recaptured using minor tranquilization devices.

By approval of the Ethics Committee, a resident of Houck, Arizona is to be killed and eaten by SCP-XXXX twice a month.

In the event that Site-31’s nuclear warhead is initiated, SCP-XXXX is to temporarily receive an elevated ranking in the order of extraction, akin to a Lv4 Researcher.

Description: SCP-XXXX is an adult male Ursus americanus amblyceps, or New Mexico Black Bear.

SCP-XXXX possesses numerous deformations, including:

  • Severely oversized limbs and main body, measuring at 3.66 meters long and 2.56 meters tall.
  • Large growths in the throat, vocal folds, and lower mouth, allowing for increased vocal acrobatic ability. While analysis has shown that SCP-XXXX is capable of vocalization on par with human speech, it has made no attempts to do so since initial documentation.
  • Numerous nail-like protrusions along SCP-XXXX’s paws and limbs. Each protrusion varies in sharpness, ranging from 9.09 to 9.39 on Mohs' scale. Despite this, SCP-XXXX appears incapable of scratching, penetrating, or otherwise damaging lead.
  • Stiffened muscles and joints similar to human cadavers during rigor mortis. Movement, albeit heavily limited, is possible.
  • Lacking signs of biological aging, excluding the above deformations.

SCP-XXXX is, otherwise, non-anomalous.
