Special Containment Procedures: The Foundation currently maintains a Houdini-class projection array over the planet of Mars to keep a temporary guise of pre-containment conditions. The Foundation and other anomalous administrative communities are engaged in a concerted effort to fabricate evidence of a comet collision with Mars's northern pole.
Twenty unmanned craft loaded with a collective 1,284 species of bacterial, plant, fungus, and animal life are on an approach trajectory to SCP-0001's epicenter. These are scheduled to make landfall two years prior to their announcement to the general public as part of an international martian terraforming initiative. An accompanying martian colonization propaganda campaign is prepared in order to direct the inevitable interest in a terraformed Mars towards Foundation controlled space travel corporations.
Recovery of SCP-0001-A through SCP-0001-D for debriefing is a top priority for initial contact teams currently en-route to Mars.
Description: SCP-0001 is the physical, chemical, and biological effects associated with the sudden and currently unexplained terraforming of Mars. This consists of liquid water covering 65% of its surface, an earth-like nitrogen-oxygen atmosphere, and the various species currently thriving across it. Current remote testing of the biosphere from remaining Iota-19 assets indicates the existence of 12 different species of algae, 33 species of herbivorous invertebrates, 21 species of grass, eight species of grain, four species of Tilapia, four species of legumes, two species of tuber root vegetables, and one species of flower (Crocus sativus).
SCP-0001-A through SCP-0001-D are four humans subsisting off the available flora and fauna within the caldera of Olympus Mons.
