Simulated model of the perceivable element of SCP-XXXX

Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Keter

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained in a Hiss-Rosenberg chamber, which facilitates its continued containment by interfering with the object's perception of three-dimensional space. The chamber is to be powered by no less than four decoherence generators at a time.

Failure of any singular generator constitutes a Level 1 CLADE COPPER containment breach. During a Level 1 CLADE COPPER incident, emergency Hiss-Rosenberg anchors will be deployed in a circular perimeter with a radius of no more than fifty meters from SCP-XXXX, with a distance of no less than 2 meters between each anchor.

Failure to deploy the Hiss-Rosenberg anchor perimeter after thirty minutes of generator failure constitutes a Level 2 CLADE COPPER containment breach. During a Level 2 CLADE COPPER incident, all on-site personnel are to evacuate.

Further containment proposals are being considered. Monitor local communication channels for updates.

As of 5/20/2015, no three-dimensional entities are to enter the Hiss-Rosenberg chamber.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a sapient extradimensional entity. Its nature makes its true form impossible to be perceived by humans; however, what can be observed inside a Hiss-Rosenberg chamber manifests as a truncating great stellar dodecahedron 3 meters in diameter with varying coloration.

SCP-XXXX possesses a deleterious effect on all three-dimensional matter; namely, the loss of all structural integrity in such matter. This effect takes place via an unknown mechanism at the atomic level; no changes in electromagnetic force, strong force, or weak force have been observed. Two-dimensional entities are unable to be directly harmed by SCP-XXXX, but the medium on which they exist may be destroyed.

From 3/19/2010 to 5/6/2015, SCP-XXXX was contained by the Global Occult Coalition and temporally designated E-831. During a containment breach on 5/6/2015, SCP-XXXX escaped containment from the Coalition and remained at large until 5/12/2015, when Foundation operatives were able to secure its containment.

Addendum XXXX-1: Message Received from Global Occult Coalition

The following message was received by Site-84 from the Global Occult Coalition on 5/15/2015, three days after SCP-XXXX was contained.

THE GLOBAL OCCULT COALITION

FROM THE DESK OF THE UNDER-SECRETARY GENERAL

To the Overseer Council,

I'm going to be blunt. Your recent acquisition of Object E-831 has us concerned.

I understand our organizations do not see eye to eye on many matters. We have had more than a fair share of conflicts over the course of our troubled histories. Yet I think there's one thing we can agree on.

The Global Occult Coalition and the SCP Foundation will always stand hand-in-hand in guarding humanity from the greatest threats to reality itself. E-831 is one such threat. During E-831's five years under our supervision, it has proven itself to be an extreme danger. E-831 is malicious. E-831 is highly intelligent. It is an anathema to reality itself.

We formally request the Foundation to transfer possession of E-831 back to the GOC so the object can be terminated. The GOC has already formulated a plan of decommissioning the object with the resources in our possession. Chances of success are estimated to be 99.8%. In addition, the GOC can also provide you schematics of ideal containment procedures for the object during transit.

We understand our policies of containment often do not align with yours. However, in the name of fighting to keep mankind out of the dark and in the light, E-831 is better off gone.

Addendum XXXX-2: Incident Log XXXX-A

On 5/20/2015, SCP-XXXX began to deviate from previously observed behavior.

At 13:52 PST, D-18372 entered the Hiss-Rosenberg containment chamber during routine inspections. Upon sealing of the hermetic doors, SCP-XXXX began to rapidly oscillate in size. A low, droning sound was heard during this event. After approximately 20 seconds, D-18372 vanished. SCP-XXXX returned to its normal state. A Level 2 CLADE COPPER containment breach was declared but was revoked following two hours of inactivity of SCP-XXXX.

At 15:29 PST, security cameras within the Hiss-Rosenberg chamber captured the manifestation of several markings on the walls, apparently created by SCP-XXXX. This behavior continued for approx. two hours, at which point agents entered the chamber. The markings were discovered to be two-dimensional diagrams of the human nervous system, cardiovascular system, and skeletal system.

The significance of this event is unknown.
