You get up from your bed and slowly approach the door, still holding the book. When you get close enough, you ask:

"Who's there?"

You wait for a few seconds but no one responds. This situation gives you a familiar feeling as if it isn't the first time this has happened to you.

Grab the door handle and slowly open the door.

It was probably just your imagination.
