Special Containment Procedures: Because of SCP-4742's need to appear in a movie theatre, as well to the lack of light and conversation of those in a movie theatre, SCP-4742 is contained by through it’s own anomalous behavior. Any sightings of SCP-4742 manifestations whether it be camera feed, photographs, or the media are to be seized for analysis.
Description: SCP-4742 is a caucasian humanoid who was born in █████, Texas. It resembles a teenager with down syndrome. It is not clear what the exact age of SCP-4742 is, however it is speculated that SCP-4742 is an adolescent. SCP-4742 has brownish hair and eyes and stands at 1.82 meters tall. Even after years of research after discovery, he always appears to look the same visually, and does not age. His clothes are the only variable that changes between sightings.
SCP-4742 does not appear at theaters alone, frequently appearing with a willing victim. Upon interrogation of previous victims, all have stated that SCP-4742 is a “Close Friend”.
Due to the lack of recorded SCP-4742 manifestations and the randomness of his victims, little to no data regarding his nature or intent is available; but his behavior has been proved to be widely consistent.
SCP-4742 will only appear in █████, Texas, and only inside a movie theatre or when picking up a victim. Only when picking up a victim, SCP-4742 will not be seen in a movie theater.
All victims recorded that have come in contact with SCP-4742 have all accepted a ride from him. Upon accepting a ride, SCP-4742 will lead them to a 2005 Chevy Silverado, and drive to a nearby movie theater within a 10 mile range of the victim’s residence. SCP-4742’s victims are all similar in age, being around the same age as SCP-4742. Although, this has yet to be proven, the Foundation believes that SCP-4742 has recurring victims whom he visits again in order to give further rides.
Upon arrival, SCP-4742 will usually purchase tickets in exchange for the victim’s money. Upon entering the designated room of the movie SCP-4742 will hold conversation with the victim(s) but the subject of such talks have not been confirmed due to the side effects of conversation with SCP-4742. The average intelligence of SCP-4742’s victims has been proven to decrease significantly based on verbal communication with SCP-4742. If the subject declines conversation with SCP-4742 , SCP-4742 will whisper in the victim’s ears regardless if the movie is running or not. SCP-4742 will then remain with the subject until the movie has transpired and will offer to give the victim a ride back to their residence.
SCP-4742 has not been recorded to engage in any other activities, and demanifests immediately after leaving his victim’s immediate vicinity. The subject's decreased intellect, however, will remain, providing the evidence of SCP-4742’s presence.
No testing involving SCP-4742 has been attempted, due to the side effects of SCP-4742 as well as the seemingly random apparitions.
Discovery: SCP-4742 was first discovered on August ██,████ by Theatre staff at ███████ who noticed an unusual Caucasian adolescent present at multiple movies during a short time frame all with different victims.
