SCP-6982

Author: FredJMcGillicuty

Item #: 6982

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: Staff and researchers studying SCP-6982 are to be cycled through every 6 hours. Subjects are to be kept in a standard garage containment unit on Site 24, with ample tools and space. A small space adjacent to the garage is allotted for small living quarters, with cameras installed to ensure proper surveillance. They are allowed free roam of the grounds, racetrack, and nearby towns with good behavior, and a weekly check in and evaluation is required to see if they meet those standards.

Description: SCP-6982 is a pair of automobiles, a red 1993 Ford Mustang Cobra R and a black 1989 Nissan 300ZX Turbo, respectively dubbed as ‘Fae’ and ‘Ryu’, hereby referred to as SCP-6982-1 and SCP-6982-2.

Both SCP-6982-1 and SCP-6982-2 exhibit extraordinary performance, capable of reaching speeds of over 500 MPH with relative ease and able to generate over 20 G’s of turning force on the test track. Both have been observed to drive up walls and even on ceilings. Both are impervious to damage, with knives, ballistic objects, water, molten metal, acid, and lava doing nothing to damage them. They don’t burn fuel or need their liquids changed, and their tires never wear out. Aside from SCP-6982-1 having black Weld Racing S71 wheels and SCP-6982-2 having silver 5Zigen GN+ wheels, they are completely stock, both in appearance and in mechanical parts.

Even though neither have radios or any stereo equipment of any kind, music often plays from them. SCP-6982-1 seems to prefer industrial metal, and SCP-6982-2 favors orchestral music. These only pop up when it appears both the automobile and their driver are happy, like when the cars are being washed, or when they’re on the racetrack, for example. Test subjects also claim to hear two distinct voices coming from SCP-6982-1 and SCP-6982-2 after standing around them longer than 8 hours, and affected individuals describe hearing two women speaking English. Further interviewing and background reveals that there are two otherworldly beings possessing SCP-6982-1 and SCP-6982-2, referred to as 'Valcurons.'

Their drivers/owners are Sean (REDACTED) and Scott (REDACTED), hereby referred to as SCP-6982-1-1 and SCP6982-2-2, respectively. SCP-6982-1-1 is a human male, 25 years old, 6’ 2”, blonde curly hair with white streaks, and blue eyes, weighing 201 lbs (91 kg). SCP-6982-2-2 is another human male, 22 years old, 5’ 3”, black straight hair with white streaks, and brown eyes, weighing 104 lbs (47 kg). The white streaks in their hair are theorized to be from exposure to SCP-6982-1 and SCP-6982-2.

Both SCP-6982-1-1 and SCP-6982-2-2 exhibit heightened sight and hearing, quicker reflexes, and above average strength for their muscle mass. They both have been observed talking to SCP-6982-1 and SCP-6982-2. SCP-6982-1-1 and SCP-6982-2-2 also cannot drive other vehicles for long, otherwise they display symptoms like upset stomach, fevers, blurry vision, and in one testing instance, blackouts.

Discovery: Subjects were discovered in (REDACTED) on 06/13/20, after APB’s were put up on local police radios. Further research discovered subjects had been winning all of the local races and getting in trouble with the local police, leading them on chases throughout the surrounding cities and countryside.

SCP-6982 has been in the Foundation’s hands ever since, with little protest from the subjects.

SCP-6982 Test Log:
06/20/20- SCP-6982 was asked to demonstrate its abilities through a basic performance test. The results are as follows:
SCP-6982-1, with SCP-6982-1-1 driving,

  • Clocked 611.2 MPH at the end of the 1.3 mile long runway.
  • ¼ mile time/speed: 3.56 s @ 331 MPH
  • Hit 18 G’s of turning force on the skid pad.
  • At 200 MPH, braking distance was 15 ft.
  • 0-60 took 0.4 seconds.

SCP-6982-2, with SCP-6982-2-2 driving,

  • Clocked 598.5 MPH at the end of the 1.3 mile long runway.
  • ¼ mile time/speed: 3.89 s @ 319 MPH
  • Hit 21 G’s of turning force on the skid pad.
  • At 200 MPH, braking distance was 14 ft.
  • 0-60 took 0.7 seconds.

Both SCP-6982-1 and SCP-6982-2 were asked to drive across a small lake on Site 24. Both did it with little effort at a speed of roughly 150 MPH. The same test was done on lava, acid, and molten metal, with the same results.

Both SCP-6982-1 and SCP-6982-2 were then driven out to the shooting range on Site 24, with both occupants inside their respective SCP’s. The cars were then stabbed with a large Bowie knife, not even scratching the paint. An M1 Abrams tank was then brought out, and fired at SCP-6982. No damage was dealt.

Neither SCP6982-1-1 nor SCP-6982-2-2 encountered injuries of any kind during this test.

06/24/20- SCP-6982-1-1 and SCP-6982-2-2 were asked to drive two cars around the track. Both cars were a red and black 2004 Honda Civic, nearly identical for the test. While both cars performed above average, exhibiting greater performance all around, the results were nothing like the previous test. Both SCP-6982-1-1 and SCP-6982-2-2 complained, asking when they could drive their cars again, and to get out of the cars they were driving as soon as possible, looking slightly sick driving them. After a quick break, they were asked to drive again, which SCP-6982-1-1 and SCP-6982-2-2 took as a challenge to race. After two hours of racing, both drivers complained of headaches and nausea, but continued to drive. 30 minutes later, they both collapsed at the wheel, totalling both cars. Neither were physically hurt in the violent crash. Recovery took approximately 3 hours.

06/25/20- SCP-6982-1-1 and SCP-6982-2-2 were asked to do basic athleticism exercises. Both were able to bench press 200 lbs, run for 5 miles at full sprint non stop, and squat 275 lbs.
When asked to find the location of the sound of a buzzer in a small bedroom, they were able to find it in less than 10 seconds. They can also clearly see objects over a mile away, describing a soda can with the word ‘POP’ written on it in green marker from that distance.

They were then asked to do some stunt driving in their respective cars. Both vehicles exhibited extraordinary maneuvering and evasion driving, and when an altercation with a D-class personnel walking onto the test area, SCP-6982-2-2 drove onto a nearby wall to avoid them, landing back down on the ground and driving away as if nothing happened. Both subjects were then asked to drive onto the walls of the building on Site 24. Both subjects did it with ease, before driving onto the ceiling.

At night, a D class personnel was ordered to steal SCP-6982-1. He was found at the Foundation entrance in the fetal position, suffering from shock. Surveillance footage reveals after the D-class personnel opened the door, he gets pulled in by an unseen force. The car then speeds around the grounds at insane speed for an hour and a half, before dumping him off at the door and speeding off back to the garage.

06/26/20- Some researchers have been treated after observing SCP-6982 for 8 hours, citing they can hear two female voices coming from SCP-6982-1 and SCP-6982-2, before having severe hallucinations and then fainting. Requesting cycle of staff every 6 hours.

Interview Log:
Dr. McCarthy was brought in to do the interview on 06/28/20, starting with SCP-6982-1-1. The transcript is as follows:

  • [McCarthy sits down at one end of the table, with SCP-6982-1-1 on the other end. He’s currently smoking and his leather jacket is hung over the back of the chair, and he’s laid back in the chair, slightly slumped down.]
  • McCarthy: Hello, SCP-6982-1-1, my name is Dr. McCarthy. I will be conducting your first interview today, date 06/28/20, time 13:20.
  • SCP-6982-1-1: So, they’re no longer calling us by our names huh?
  • McCarthy: It’s just procedure, SCP-6982-1-1.
  • [SCP-6982-1-1 sighs and hangs his head.]
  • SCP-6982-1-1: Awrite, Doc. Let’s get on with it then.
  • [SCP-6982-1-1 then stretches and grunts, then pops its neck before returning to its original sitting position.]
  • McCarthy: State your name, age, date of birth, social security number, and profession.
  • SCP-6982-1-1: Sean (REDACTED). (REDACTED).
  • McCarthy: How long have you owned SCP-6982-1?
  • SCP-6982-1-1: Uhh, in her ‘current’ form or in total?
  • McCarthy: …both answers, please.
  • SCP-6982-1-1: 4 years total, 8 months as she is currently.
  • McCarthy: What was SCP-6982-1 before?
  • SCP-6982-1-1: She was a 1993 Ford Mustang LX hatchback, faded blue.
  • [He then pulls a picture out of his coat pocket, showing SCP-6982-1-1 smiling and standing next to a very beat up blue Mustang hatchback. Dr. McCarthy inspects the picture before sliding it back.]
  • McCarthy: You imply that SCP-6982-1 changed forms. Can you elaborate how?
  • [SCP-6982-1 takes a long drag out of his cigarette, blowing out the smoke, looking up at the ceiling.]
  • McCarthy: SCP-
  • SCP-6982-1-1: I heard you loud and clear, Doc. It’s not one of my favorite stories to tell.
  • [SCP-6982-1-1 puts out its cigarette in the ashtray.]
  • McCarthy: I apologize, but this is for the records, so we can try to help you, if possible.
  • [SCP-6982-1-1 chuckles a bit, then readjusts its seating position, sitting up on the table, its elbows on the table, hands together.]
  • SCP-6982-1-1: It was in November, 18th I believe. Scott would know the answer to that one. We had just fixed a problem with his power steering pump when we heard a loud bang and saw a bright flash out in the outskirts of town. It wasn’t that far away, so we hopped into our cars and drove over. We thought it was a plane crash.
  • [SCP-6982-1-1 squirms in their seat, and clears its throat.]
  • SCP-6982-1-1: A-anyways, we get there, and the prairie grass is burnt in a perfect circle. There was no wreckage of any kind or sort. In the center were two girls, a redhead and a brunette. They were banged up real bad.
  • McCarthy: Can you describe them further?
  • SCP-6982-1-1: Y-yeah, they were some of the most beautiful girls I’ve ever seen! Perfect faces, everything!
  • [McCarthy chuckles.]
  • McCarthy: So, they’re the only girls you’ve ever seen?
  • [SCP-6982-1-1 looks at her with a slightly annoyed expression before cracking a smile.]
  • SCP-6982-1-1: Har har.
  • McCarthy: Anyways…
  • SCP-6982-1-1: Yes, anyways, we gently tried to pick them up, and they were bleeding, this blue stuff. Blue blood, I guess. I gently lifted the redhead and I tried to put her in the seat. Scott took the brunette to his 300ZX.
  • McCarthy: Wait, you actually moved them?
  • SCP-6982-1-1: Well yeah! I wasn’t going to leave them out there all alone to die! And this is where shit hit the fan.
  • [SCP-6982-1-1 adjusts in its chair, looking a little uncomfortable.]
  • SCP-6982-1-1: The girls come to, and they start trying to talk to us in a language neither of us recognize. She then pulls me close and kisses me… And she… just… dissolves.
  • McCarthy: Could you be more specific?
  • SCP-6982-1-1: I… don’t think I can be, Doc. Then, my car changed, and it turned into a Cobra R. Seats, engine, and everything… The same thing happened to Scott. Me and Scott tried driving back, but I know for a fact I passed out at the wheel. When I woke up, I was still in my car, but I was in front of my house… I was hearing voices, Doc. It felt like my head was going to explode.
  • McCarthy: Thank you. That will be all for today.

Interview closed.

Later that day, McCarthy was again conscripted to conduct an interview with SCP-6982-2-2.

  • [SCP-6982-2-2 is sitting in the chair, back perfectly against the chair, its hands on its lap and their legs squeezing together. They’re beading sweat. McCarthy walks in.]
  • McCarthy: Evening, SCP-6982-2-2. My name is Dr. McCarthy. I will be doing your interview today, date 06/28/20, time 16:10.
  • SCP-6982-2-2: E-evening, ma’am…
  • McCarthy: This is just an interview.
  • [SCP-6982-2-2 seems to relax a tiny bit.]
  • SCP-6982-2-2: Mmhmm…
  • McCarthy: Before we begin, please read this and make sure this is correct. This is from SCP-6982-1-1 recounting the events of the night.
  • [SCP-6982-2-2 takes the piece of paper and reads it. After a few minutes, it nods.]
  • SCP-6982-2-2: Y-yeah, that’s accurate. And it was November 18th.
  • McCarthy: So, I want you to pick up where we left off.
  • SCP-6982-2-2: I mean… there’s not much to tell after that. O-our cars drove us home.
  • McCarthy: Do you know how they did? Did those two girls have something to do with it?
  • SCP-6982-2-2: F-from what Ryu and Fae have told us, apparently, they were supposed to return to the earth upon their… uh, ‘death.’
  • [SCP-6982-2-2 fidgets, leaning forward in its chair.]
  • SCP-6982-2-2: A-and because they were in our cars, and not placed on the ground, they… uh, d-didn’t get a chance to… return to the earth. Their ‘energy’ instead became absorbed into our cars.
  • McCarthy: So are they apprehensive about not returning to the ground?
  • SCP-6982-2-2: N-no, quite the opposite, actually. Apparently, the mechanical aspects of our cars just augmented their energy.
  • McCarthy: So, they can clearly drive themselves, are invulnerable to absolutely everything, and go faster than any vehicle on the face of the planet. Why don’t they just leave you two behind?
  • SCP-6982-2-2: You know, ma’am, that’s a great question. I thought I overheard Ryu mentioning something to Fae about not breaking their promise to each other, or to us, but I have no memory of an agreement ever taking place. They’ve mentioned that it’s because they feel like they owe us for saving their lives. A-and honestly, I don’t think I’m in any position to argue.
  • McCarthy: Is it possible they modified your memories? I mean, they drove you home without you ever mentioning it, so they had to have taken a peek inside your head, at the very least.
  • SCP-6982-2-2: …that's an extremely scary thing to think about, ma'am.
  • [McCarthy scribbles in her notes. SCP-6982-2-2 is looking more and more comfortable.]
  • McCarthy: Both you and SCP-6982-1-1 have mentioned Fae and Ryu. Who are they?
  • SCP-6982-2-2: O-oh, Fae is the Mustang, Ryu is my 300ZX. It’s kinda like abbreviated versions of their real names. To give you an overview, Fae is a kinda crude and loud tomboy, and Ryu is shy and quiet. T-They call themselves… ‘Valerons’? ‘Valcurons’, I think? Basically, beings with insane magical power.
  • McCarthy: Thank you, you may leave now.
  • SCP-6982-2-2: Thank you, ma’am.

Interview closed.

Dr. McCarthy is requesting to find ways to communicate with SCP-6982-1 and SCP-6982-2. Request is pending approval.
