To all personnel: This document contains outdated information. Please refer to Iteration 4 for updated information. This document exists for research purposes only.
The following documents were compiled here, for easy access and research into SCP-5066.
Item #: SCP-5066
Object Class: Keter Neutralised
Special Containment Procedures: Video surveillance equipment is to be placed around the last known location of SCP-5066. Should any distortion or disturbance appear in said video equipment, MTF Umbra-4 "Bloody Legends" is to be deployed to the location immediately. Upon identification of SCP-5066, MTF squads should avoid direct eye contact with the entity. All affected areas are to be quarantined immediately, for a period of at least 60 days.
Description: SCP-5066 is a tall, humanoid entity. Reports indicate its physical appearance is of a tall, dark man, wearing a suit. The figure is often noted to have no facial features, and extremely pale skin. Reports of SCP-5066 closely match the physical description of [REDACTED], a popular internet ███████████, that gained popularity soon after the time of discovery.
SCP-5066's anomalous abilities include:
● Distortion of recording equipment, adjustment of photographs and/or video recordings.
● Teleportation.
● Adjustment of memories.
● Causing visual and auditory hallucinations.
SCP-5066 shows few signs of hostility to Foundation personnel, although it has been indirectly involved in several disappearances and suicides. Hallucinations induced by SCP-5066 include disturbing imagery and sounds, and often SCP-5066 will follow subjects for days or hours, appearing in places where the subject is not directly viewing, and disappearing upon leaving line of sight. This induces paranoia in subjects, and has led several subjects to isolate themselves in an attempt to avoid bringing harm to their loved ones.
Of particular note is the internet group formed soon after sightings of SCP-5066 were reported. The group centered themselves around the idea of SCP-5066 being a hostile entity, and later these theories spawned large amounts of theories and creations. Foundation personnel attempted removal of these reports at first, then decided it would be more effective to dismiss them as rumors, or to add more false details.
Incident 5066-01
SCP-5066 activity was noted, MTF Umbra-4 dispatched to investigate. Affected area was confirmed as a small farm in ███████, New Zealand. Upon arrival, there was no sign of SCP-5066. Standard protocol was observed, and a quarantine was instigated, under grounds of volcanic activity. Upon questioning, the subjects currently in ownership of the farm expressed no knowledge of SCP-5066, although their son, age 13, admitted to having seen the entity. (See interview).
This was the last recorded event involving SCP-5066, and no further activity has been noted since ██/10/2010. This incident was only six weeks after Foundation discovery.
Interview 5066-01
Interviewer: Dr. Amastov
Interviewed: Matthew ███████, age 13.Begin Log:
Dr. Amastov: Good morning, Matthew.
Matthew: Uh, hey sir.
Dr. Amastov: Do have a seat.
Matthew sits
Matthew: So, what do you want to talk about?
Dr. Amastov: We just want to ask a few questions. You said you saw a creature a few days ago. Can you describe it for us?
Matthew: Uh, yeah. It was, like, this really tall guy. He was wearing some kind of suit. I saw him standing in the trees, while I was out back feeding the chickens. That was the first time I saw him.
Dr. Amastov: Can you tell me about the other times you saw him?
Matthew: Yeah, he showed up a few more times. The first time I was really scared, but after that I kinda got used to him. He just showed up in the corners, you know? Where I wasn't looking. He didn't hurt anyone.
Subject pauses
Matthew: You know who he was, right? It was [REDACTED]. I know cos' I saw the internet thing.
Dr. Amastov: We don't know what it was. Did you see it doing anything odd?
Matthew: Uh, it was just standing there, then it kinda… melted. Not like it burnt up or anything, like it turned to water and fell down. Didn't even leave the suit behind. I mean, that was weird! He's not supposed to do that!
Dr. Amastov: Did you see him after that?
Matthew: Nah, he just kinda didn't come back.
Dr. Amastov: I see. And did you see anything else unusual?
Matthew: Nothing else, really.
Dr. Amastov: Okay. Thank you for your time.
All subjects were given class-C amnestics and returned to the farm after quarantine was lifted.
Item #: SCP-5066
Object Class: Keter Neutralised
Special Containment Procedures: All television networks are to be monitored for unusual or anomalous activity. Should SCP-5066 be identified, the television channel in question is to be immediately shut off, and replaced with a visual amnestic for five seconds. After SCP-5066 is confirmed missing, the channel should be returned to normal. Should an instance of SCP-5066-1 be identified, MTF Umbra-4 "Bloody Legends" should be dispatched to the location immediately, and should deliver class-C amnestics to all affected individuals.
Description: SCP-5066 refers to an anomalous television show, commonly referred to as [REDACTED]. SCP-5066 depicts a female protagonist, who frequently imagines befriending pirates. According to reports, all characters except the protagonist are portrayed as puppets. The primary antagonist in SCP-5066 appears to be a skeleton, known for stealing the skin of children to disguise itself. All subjects over the age of 15 reports seeing nothing on the television screen except static. This makes Foundation research into SCP-5066 very difficult.
Subjects who view SCP-5066 often report feelings of friendliness or familarity to puppets, or fond memories of SCP-5066-1, despite its often disturbing content. Subjects who continue to view SCP-5066 often report seeing SCP-5066-1 following them.
Reports indicate that SCP-5066-1 is a tall, naked figure, with patched skin as if made up of several parts. After three days of exposure to SCP-5066, subjects will disappear, and further reports of SCP-5066-1 manifestations will have replaced or added to their patchwork skin.
Testing has shown that administering class-C amnestics to affected subjects will prevent further symptoms of SCP-5066 at any stage, unless the subject is reintroduced to SCP-5066.
Incident 5066-02
After ██/3/2011, no further activity has been noted from SCP-5066. All television channels were monitored for anomalous activity, none was found. Subjects previously exposed to SCP-5066 showed no adverse effects. After 62 days, SCP-5066 was declared neutralised. Further surveillance on video sharing platforms and television channels was kept for 120 days afterwards.
Item #: SCP-5066
Object Class: Keter Neutralised
Special Containment Procedures: All imageboards are to be monitored for instances of SCP-5066. Should an instance of SCP-5066 be identified, it is to be deleted immediately. If an instance of SCP-5066-1 is reported, affected subjects are to be amnesticised or terminated1 within three days of exposure to SCP-5066. Should a printed instance of SCP-5066 be found, it is to be destroyed by MTF Umbra-4 "Bloody Legends". Any affected MTF units are to be amnestised or terminated.
One printed version of SCP-5066 is to be kept in containment for research purposes.
Description: SCP-5066 is the designation of an anomalous image or photograph. SCP-5066 is an image of a single Canis lupus familiaris2, with disturbingly realistic human teeth. Subjects report feelings of anxiety and fear upon viewing SCP-5066, although this may be due to it's disturbing nature. Upon viewing the image, approximately 10 hours later, subjects report hearing faint panting noises, and seeing instances of SCP-5066-1. After approximately one week from viewing SCP-5066, subjects will be found deceased, with bite marks on their throat. Often, these deaths leave suicide notes, despite the obvious external cause of death. Testing shows that early amnestic treatment may prevent the eventual death of the subject, although after a period of three days of exposure, the event cannot be prevented.
SCP-5066-1 is an anomalous entity, resembling that depicted in SCP-5066. SCP-5066-1 is not viewable by any subjects unaffected by SCP-5066. Subjects that have viewed SCP-5066 do not report SCP-5066-1 moving, instead staying stationary in the corner of their vision. SCP-5066-1 is not hostile, preferring to frighten targets before moving on, often around corners or somewhere to break line of sight. Upon breaking line of sight, SCP-5066 demanifests, and may remanifest again at any point.
Subjects affected by SCP-5066 regularly report hearing voices or whispers telling them to "spread the word." The phrases are often threats, or have some sinister insinuation to them. These manifestations will not cease, unless the subject shows the image to others, whether via printed media or online media. Upon "sharing" SCP-5066, all manifestations vanish, although this does not stop the termination of the subject after the customary one week.
Subjects often report these visions to be strongest during periods of sleep, resulting in vivid dreams, in which SCP-5066 is prevalent.
Due to SCP-5066's anomalous effects, no interviews are possible without endangering Foundation personnel, due to the risk of affected subjects attempting to show personnel instances of SCP-5066.
Incident 5066-3
After ██/7/2011, all recorded SCP-5066 instances were reported missing. All subjects affected by SCP-5066 were reported dead on the same day, although the bodies were missing the customary bite marks. This date is only two weeks after the Foundation's discovery of SCP-5066, on ██/16/2011.

Item #: SCP-5066
Object Class: Keter
Special Containment Procedures: All information regarding SCP-5066 is to be kept on hard drive storage, rather than cloud storage, to prevent further spread of information. SCP-5066's current manifestation is to be kept secret. All information regarding SCP-5066's past manifestations are cleared to be given to personnel with a clearance level of 2/5066 and above. Information about the current manifestation should be kept secret to personnel below clearance level 5/5066. Should unauthorised personnel discover information about SCP-5066's current manifestation, they are to be amnestised or terminated immediately.
Should SCP-5066's current manifestation become widely known, MTF Umbra-4 "Bloody Legends" is to be put on high alert, and told to monitor for unregistered anomalies, or strange anomalous activity surrounding folklore, internet stories, or "creepypasta".
Current Manifestation Containment Procedures: Any and all handheld electronic devices should be handed over to security at the entrance of SCP-5066's containment area, at least 130ft away from the closest edge of the containment cell. Constant direct surveillance should be kept on SCP-5066 while in this manifestation through a reinforced viewing panel, and no entry to the cell is permitted to any personnel.
Description: SCP-5066 is an anomalous entity, capable of transforming itself into other anomalies. These sub-anomalies are nearly always keter-class, and conform to obscure stories, often related with the horror genre, and documented on public internet. This results in SCP-5066's special containment procedures regularly changing. Should SCP-5066's current manifestation become known by more than ██,███ subjects, SCP-5066 will invariably change form, choosing a less widely-known manifestation. Should a previous story or tale become obscure again, SCP-5066 may reinhabit this form, rather than choosing a new one. To prevent this, previous manifestations of SCP-5066 are listed in this file, and information about previous manifestations is to be spread on public forums as urban legends or stories.
Current Manifestation Description: SCP-5066 is currently an emaciated humanoid, with calcified protrusions extending from it's shoulders down it's back. It's forearms are long, extending far beyond practical use. The underside of SCP-5066 is coated in a viscous white substance, that is acidic to the touch. SCP-5066's current manifestation is remarkable in it's ability to manifest through handheld devices such as phones and tablets within a radius of approximately 100ft.
While viewed through non-digital means, SCP-5066 will freeze in place, only moving upon direct eye contact being broken. When SCP-5066 moves, it has been seen assaulting nearby personnel, and attempting to break through the viewing panes of it's cell. Due to the relatively weak bone structure of SCP-5066, it cannot cause any serious damage to it's cell, although it can cause severe damage to personnel through use of it's claws and teeth.
