Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be held in a humanoid containment cell at Site-5974. Outside of testing, SCP-XXXX is not allowed access to any drawing or writing materials. SCP-XXXX has been granted access to a radio with Foundation-selected music and a guitar due to compliance and good behavior.

Two times per week, SCP-5XXX is to checkup with her on-site counselor Dr. Eiichiro Ariko. —> Eiichiro is reference to 'One Piece' creator, Ariko is reference to Jojo creator.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a 17-year old female formerly known as Laurie Van Goethe. SCP-XXXX is the cause of an anomalous phenomenon that alters artwork produced by SCP-XXXX to include characters from the television show Euphony Bright: Grand Symphony!. UPDATE: As of 10/10/2020, this anomalous phenomenon has displayed an additional capability to alter text within artworks.

Discovery:
During a routine sweep of the Internet, the Foundation discovered a livestream on the video sharing site Youtube entitled "[Serious] Everything I Draw Turns to Euphonies!" uploaded by SCP-5XXX, where it displayed its anomalous abilities by creating multiple artworks whose centents were transformed after completion. The livestream was immediately taken down by a Foundation webcrawler, and all possible viewers of the livestream were tracked down and amnesticized.

SCP-5XXX was tracked down to an address in Wesdin, California. All family members, school mates, and other people with knowledge of SCP-5XXX were amnesticized. SCP-5XXX was shortly thereafter taken into containment.

Interview Log 5XXX-1:

Interviewer: Dr. Zuo Meng

Interviewee: SCP-5XXX

Foreward: Initial interview with SCP-5XXX. Interview was undertaken to ascertain the possible origin of SCP-5XXX's anomaly.

<BEGIN LOG>

Note: Initial interview was undertaken to understand more about the origin of and property of SCP-5XXX's anomalous effect.
Dr. Meng: Hello there, SCP-5XXX.

SCP-5XXX: Huh, so I am no longer Laurie, but a 5XXX now? Eh, life was ruined long ago. So hello there, Dr. Meng, what question do you have for me?

Dr. Meng: Can you please tell me when you first noticed your anomaly.

SCP-5XXX: Ehmmm…. given the nature of my freakish powers, could have been many months ago and I just painted over it without noticing it. But it was two months ago when I was working on my "Desire" project for my art class, only to notice a Rhymedeer in a corner, you know, one of the species from the television show Euphony Bright. Not well-painted, pretty easy to miss. I was surprised, it had been some time since I ever watched that show. But I thought I might have just accidentally painted it from some brief snippet of a past memory, so I painted over it and decided to forget it. But of course, both of us here know how it all ended.

Dr. Meng: I see. Can you tell me about the progress of this anomaly?

SCP-5XXX: Well, it had been about one week or more since that incident, and I had nearly forgotten it. That was, until we had to present our "Desire" project. I took out my project to present, it was a piece about a world free of death and sadness, it was a piece that I had invested very greatly in. And I look at it, and guess what I see? A Rhymedeer. Better painted, in easy view. Everybody noticed it, even a few comments from classmates. I'm so glad that nobody really asked me about the inclusion of the Rhymedeer, but maybe they thought I was - so Dr. Meng, what else do you want to know?

Dr. Meng: Tell me more about the anomaly's progress to its current form.

SCP-5XXX: Well, things got worse: Euphony critters getting better in quality, getting closer to focal point, multiplying and taking more space in my artwork. Soon, they were appearing in all of my artwork: paintings, sketches, even the doodles I did distracted out of my mind in other classes besides art. Why, they even began to change my art! Drew a sketch of the library and its lunchtime inhabitants, and a bunch of Rhymedeers and Harmoni Horsies show up to throw a party; draw a quick marker drawing during one of my down periods, and they show up to paint the whole thing pink; draw a painting in memory of my fr - wait, wait, I mean…

Dr. Meng: Hold it, SCP-5XXX. You mentioned the word "memory". I also remember that you quickly changed the subject when talking about what you thought your classmates might have been thinking of when they saw the Rhymedeer in your "Desire" project. SCP-5XXX, forgive me for my next statement, but if I am right, I believe that you had a friend who introduced you to Euphony Bright who died suddenly, right?

SCP-5XXX is observed to tense up.

SCP-5XXX: Wh… what does this have to do with these magic appearing Euphony crits, Doctor?!!
Dr. Meng: I believe that the trauma of loss of your friend so early in your life played a big part in the creation of your anomaly. Could you tell me more about your friend?

SCP-5XXX grabs her shoulder with each hands and looks away towards the left side from Dr. Meng.

SCP-5XXX: Please, Doctor, please… don't make me talk about it.

<END LOG>

Afterword: SCP-5XXX refused to talk about its deceased friend. In subsequent interviews, SCP-5XXX was cooperative, except for topics related to its deceased friend. Investigations and interviews with people familiar with SCP-5XXX had revealed a deceased friend of SCP-5XXX named Ani Honghu —> reference to Ian and Lake of King Crimson, Honghu as in 'Red Lake'.

//Dr. Meng has recommended on-site counseling for SCP-5XXX. //

Incident Log 5XXX-A:

On March 17, 2020, during a routine test of SCP-5XXX's anomaly, the anomaly took effect halfway in the process of making the artwork: stars similar to their depiction in Euphony Bright! were added in, and Euphonia Bright (designated SCP-5XXX-A) manifested behind the half-finished sketch of the female knight, its eyes appearing to be looking at SCP-5XXX. SCP-5XXX-A was observed to be able to alter expression and pose, as well as translocate; additionally, it was able to communicate to SCP-5XXX by manifesting text, marking the first time of communication from characters added by SCP-5XXX's anomaly (SCP-5XXX appeared to ignore or be unaware of the presence of any other human subjects besides SCP-5XXX).

Below is a log of the communication between SCP-5XXX and SCP-5XXX-A, as captured by security camera recordings.

[Begin Log]
