SCP-5427

Object Class: Euclid Keter

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-5427 is to be kept in a 7 x 7 x 2-meter room, surrounded by acid-proof steel with an outer layer of reinforced concrete. All instances of SCP-5427-2 and SCP-5427-3 should be contained via a plastic bin and a rope around SCP-5427-2 and SCP-5427-3’s neck. No personnel should be in the room for more than 10 minutes, with at least 3 personnel when entering. Personnel should use biohazard suits with a face shield when entering SCP-5427’s room. SCP-5427 should be given one live cow every 12 hours to sustain its “hunger” for personnel.

SCP-5427 should be observed at all times and never spoken to. If personnel attempts to speak to SCP-5427, they will be taken to Site [REDACTED] to be studied by a site psychologist.

Description: SCP-5427 has a snake-like body with a human upper half and six human arms. Each of its six arms is fully functional and assist SCP-5427 in climbing, moving around, and hunting. SCP-5427 has two upper fangs that contain highly toxic venom. One bite from SCP-5427 will render the person immobile and soon kill them once all muscles (including the heart and brain) stop entirely.

SCP-5427 appears to have a personal connection to a black and yellow cape with a black bowler hat but does not appear to wear them. Recently, it has also been observed to have a cane that appears at random intervals. It is unknown what the connection is, but it is reasoned to be because of the fabric, however, it has not been proven.

It appears to have six arms, all have claws instead of nails and each is fully functional. Along with the summoning powers, SCP-5427 also uses its arms to hunt for its food. Once the prey is bitten, it will wrap its body around the prey, similar to a python. Once wrapped around, it will unhinge its jaw and consume the prey within 10-15 seconds. SCP-5427 will not appear to gain weight and will consume anything alive within the room if hungry.

SCP-5427 has also been heard to speak in opposites. When speaking to itself, it appears to be talking to others. SCP-5427 has also been seen to not kill right away, but to have a conversation with them first before attacking. The few occasions it has spoken to personnel, it was speaking about the future of life. Below is a transcript of the exchange between Dr. Thomas and SCP-5427:

Date 3-17-04
Dr. Elijah Thomas
Dr. Thomas: First attempts of communication between Dr. Thomas and SCP-5427, test one. Good afternoon, SCP-5427.

SCP-5427: [silence]

Dr. Thomas: SCP-5472? Can you he-

SCP-5427: I…do not appreciate being…called that. Not my name.

Dr. Thomas: My apologies, what do you wish to be called?

SCP-5427: Denas.

Dr. Thomas Denas?

SCP-5427: Yes…

Dr. Thomas: Denas, do you know why you are here?

SCP-5427: To…be tormented…contained…repressed…

Dr. Thomas: That is not true. You are here to be tested. Observed. Not tormented. What made you think that?

SCP-5427: [unintelligible muttering for a total of 5 minutes] They…have informed me. Your actions are…unwanted.

Dr. Thomas: Who has informed you?

SCP-5427: They do not…lie. I feel lies. Taste them. I…know when you lie. You do often, Doctor.

Dr. Thomas: I can assure you, I do not lie. Especially to my colleagues. Do you mind if I ask some questions?

SCP-5427: I…do not mind. As long as…I may ask you questions after…

Dr. Thomas: What exactly are you, and how were you created?

SCP-5427: I…am preservation of oneself… The one who is…seen as a monster, but has…desires. I know when one…lies to themself…and others. I understand the reality…and do not dwell in fantasy… Created by man, instilled in man, forever…in man.

Dr. Thomas: What do you mean you are preservation?

SCP-5427: I…am the one who tells you…to listen to your thoughts. To not…listen to those who pressure you to…be perfect.

Dr. Thomas: I cannot be perfect? What is your idea of perfection?

SCP-5427: Perfection is…obeying… Lack of care for oneself because of…external problems. To be perfect is…unbelievable… People want so desperately to be perfect by being a good person…but no one is truly good. What makes humans human is their lack of perfection… People who try to be perfect are more corrupted over time, corroded. They wear themselves down to the point where…they are no longer themselves. They are controlled by their sense of right and wrong… Their morality. Lack of care for themselves is not perfection… Perfection is to obey what your heart says…not your gut.

Dr. Thomas: Do you feel like humans can achieve this perfection?

SCP-5427: …humans have… They believe themselves to be perfect…but their perfection is their flaw… It makes them not perfect…

Dr. Thomas: Is there anything else you want to discuss before this concludes our talk?

SCP-5427: …you try too hard to be perfect… It will be your demise…

+++++ Addendum 5427-1

:
SCP-5427-2 has appeared to come out of one of the arms at random times. It is not known what sort of pattern they have, but they protect SCP-5427 whenever there is an immediate threat to the other. They appear at a faster rate and morph into some sort of creature, named SCP-5427-3.

SCP-5427-3 is composed entirely of SCP-5427-2 by some sort of means. They tangle together and create SCP-5427-3 that stands over seven feet tall total and weigh an unknown amount. It can lift a ton with ease and break apart from each other when stabbed through the chest region. That is where the biggest link is that connects SCP-5427-3. It is unknown how SCP-5427-3 gets its strength and comes from SCP-5427-2. No further research has been done yet.

+++++ Addendum 5427-2

:
D-class subjects have also reported a siren-like telepathic communication between them and SCP-5427. The ones who do not die right away are kept awake for days by SCP-5427, seemingly wanting them to slowly rot away. It is unknown whether or not the D-class is hearing things, or if SCP-5427 is doing this communication.

D-class has also recorded drawings on scraps of paper or their skin depictions of SCP-5427 holding all the elements in its hands. The drawings are rushed and crude, the ink appears to be blood. The source of the blood is unknown. SCP-5427 appears to have no face when recorded in these drawings. SCP-5427-2 was drawn surrounding SCP-5427, all facing the observer.
