Special Containment Procedures:
SCP XXXX is to be kept in an isolated 10x10x10 meter box at site XX. Level 4 permission or higher is required to open the chamber to which SCP XXXX is kept. SCP XXXX’s cell is made of a .5 meter thick tungsten - iron alloy and is only accessible through a single blast door on the north side of the chamber. Camera monitors are to be stationed inside and are to be recording at all times, no live feed is to be used, and recordings are only to be watched when SCP XXXX has escaped its containment.
Two to Four guards without access to the inside of the chamber are to be stationed outside of the north side blast doors and are to stop all non-authorized personnel from entering or opening the chamber.
Description:
SCP XXXX is a standard issue Black Glock 19 pistol. The only noticeable outside feature is a lack of a safety switch.
SCP XXXX’s anomolous properties arise when a human is in a proximity of ~5 meters to SCP XXXX or has it in direct line of sight. People with access to SCP XXXX adapt an irresistible urge to use the weapon to commit suicide.
SCP XXXX does not seem to follow the rules of space, as it can “jump” from one point to another as if the person it jumped to has had the weapon the entire time.
Once SCP XXXX is fired, is produces SCP XXXX -1, a standard 9mm bullet that has the tendency to vanish roughly 10 - 20 seconds after it stops moving. The magazine of the weapon is welded to the inside of the gun. SCP XXXX has been fired a possible total of 56 times without requiring reloading.
Recovery:
SCP XXXX was recovered after a 27-year-old female was found dead after a self-inflicted gunshot wound in Columbus, Nebraska. Local police had gone to investigate and to clean up the scene when they discovered SCP XXXX. The officer that found it promptly committed suicide. As other officers began to come and investigate, 12 more were killed.
A local foundation agent on a trip to see family notified the foundation of the object after hearing about gunshots from police from inside the house. A squad of ten was sent to retrieve the object, but because of the isolated nature of the town, it took over 3 hours to take a helicopter to the site. During this time, 16 more people were killed and news began to write stories of the incident.
After the task force got to the town, they administered class B anesthetics to all police and 94% of the townspeople and gave a cover story that the 28 people were killed by a serial murderer

SCP XXXX was put in a lockbox via a long pain of tongs purchased from a local shop.
Tests:
Test 001: Procedure
D-8341 was instructed to enter the room and shoot at a wall mounted target using SCP XXXX.
Test 001: Result
D-8341 picked up SCP XXXX and examined the object before putting the barrel of the gun in his mouth and pulling the trigger. D-8341 was killed in the process of the experiment.
Test 002: Procedure
D-3922 and D-6599 were instructed to put hot glue over the end of the barrel of SCP XXXX.
Test 002: Result
D-3922 held SCP XXXX and pulled the trigger while D-6599 attempted to apply the hot glue to the end of the barrel. D-3922 then turned the gun towards the bottom of his chin and proceeded to pull the trigger. Both D class were killed in the incident.
Test 003: Procedure
D-2228 was implanted with a device that would inject paralyzing drugs into her arm at the press of a button outside of the test chamber. D-2228 was instructed to stay arm's length away from SCP XXXX and to observe from a distance.
Test 003: Result
D-2228 picked up SCP XXXX against the instructions of staff and researchers and attempted to put the gun to her head. The internal paralysis injector fired when she had SCP XXXX .56 meters away from her body. Two squad members went in to retrieve D-2228 when SCP XXXX fired unexpectedly towards her chest. One of the squad members was killed as they cleaned up the cell. D-2228 and Security Officer John Yuk were killed.
Test 004: Procedure
SCP XXXX was placed in an enclosed chamber with a West - African Chimpanzee.
Test 004: Result
After four hours the West - African Chimpanzee was still in the corner. SCP XXXX was not touched by the Chimpanzee.
Test 005: Procedure
SCP XXXX was removed from its containment and was put in a sealed box with D-8395 on the outside.

D-8395 sat in the corner of the room while looking at SCP XXXX for a period of 45 minutes before being removed from the area. The subject denied that he had been in the chamber for more than two (2) minutes.

SCP XXXX is to be placed inside SCP 914 with the setting “Rough”

Incidents:
Incident 1:
Due to a power outage caused by SCP 2849, all cameras and lights in SCP XXXX’s chamber and other parts of the site were turned off for a period of 54 seconds. After lights were turned back on, SCP XXXX was found alongside researcher Wazowski, who was killed via self-inflicted gunshot wound to the side of the head. 21 more people were killed while trying to see what happened, including 4 researchers, 5 officer guards, 9 Paramedics, and 3 containment squad members. After the incident, SCP XXXX was moved to Site XX and was given a special chamber on the far side of the facility.

During a collapse of site XX, (Known in most official foundation documents as the XXX incident.) SCP XXXX style injuries were found across the facility by different people. There were reports of bodies with self-inflicted gunshot wounds with no bullets inside and no weapon in the area. A voice recording was found on a dictation machine next to an isolated body with similar wounds.

(pause)
Jr. W███: Okay okay, uh… log date █ ██ █, I'm stuck at the bottom of Site ██ and I think there's some kind of breach, everything's out and I can't find the exit…
(Shouting in the distance is heard)
Jr. W███: Oh shit okay.
(heavy panting and footsteps)
(Unidentified) (Age 40-49 male) (at distance): Oi mate, come in here, it’s safe, hurry up!
Jr. W███: Hold the door!
(Blast door closing)
