Item #: SCP-????
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-???? is to be kept in a container walled with steel, any entrances must be preceded by a small compartment and another door, similar to that of an airlock. Any and all personnel that enter the room must be equipped with supplied-air rebreathers, as the ventilation in the container was removed as of Incident █████. Doorways must only be remotely controlled and with no openings into their inner workings accessible from inside the container. The walls and doors must be equipped to heat up to 600 degrees Fahrenheit via controls in a separate observation room at a moments notice.
Description:
SCP-???? is comprised of a series of artificial wires of various sizes and lengths and a "face" composed of many goggle-like eyes that emanate a dim yellowish glow. The total length of the wiring cannot be accurately determined, as it seems to grow and change, not unlike a biological organism. Each wire is assumed to stay around 60-80 meters in length, and ends in a sharp object resembling a kind of talon.
If presented with a live subject, SCP-???? will attempt to pierce it with one or more wires. Upon entry into the subject, the wires coil around the muscles, bones, and organs, then it precedes to inject an unknown fluid into the primary motor cortex (M1) of the brain. Tests have revealed that on injection, the subject loses the capacity to control their muscle movements and are functionally paralyzed. It is noted that the subject is both alive and conscious during and after the procedure. Once the subject is paralyzed, they are now designated as SCP-????-1 as SCP-???? controls their movements through it's wiring, acting and applying pressure on muscles and bones.
Instances of SCP-????-1 have been shown to crudely imitate behaviors and movements observed from others of the subject's species. This is a facade designed to allow SCP-????-1 to safely approach other organisms, then incapacitate and bring them to SCP-???? for assimilation. Up to 30 organisms have been observed to be assimilated at one time. Attempted communication with SCP-????-1 was unsuccesful until November ██, ████
