Item #: SCP-4139
Object Class: Safe Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4139 should be kept in a containment cell at all times except when being transported to a new site or cell. There are to be 2 site security guards stationed next to the cell door at all times. SCP-4139 is to receive it’s requested meal at it’s requested time every day. SCP-4139 is only to receive 3 meals a day even if it asks for more.
If SCP-4139 shows hostility towards Foundation personnel he is to be tranquilized and left alone for 3 hours after he awakes. SCP-4139’s cell should contain the following: A couch, a bed, a coffee table, and a small study area. The study should include the following: A desk with a small lamp and a typewriter, a bookshelf with the books of SCP-4139’s choosing, and a coffee-maker.
Description: SCP-4139 is a humanoid entity, roughly 1.8 meters in height, which bears a resemblance to Abraham Van Helsing from the 1931 movie ‘Dracula’. SCP-4139 is an elderly Caucasian man and it claims to be a professor at [REDACTED] University in London England. SCP-4139 appears to be in its mid-40s to early 50s.
SCP-4139 is almost always in a brown trench-coat that it wears over a 19th-century English style suit. It has also been seen wearing a long scarf with this outfit. SCP-4139 has black hair that is turning grey in various places. It appears to be from either European or German descent however, it’s unknown which one is correct.
SCP-4139 can be seen carrying a suitcase that holds various items. Within this suitcase are some of the following: A wooden stake approximately 6 inches long, a silver knife, a revolver and ammo for it, garlic, several containers filled with holy water, a Catholic Cross, several different passports, its ID, money from several different countries, and several other items.
SCP-4139 is capable of speech in several different languages but they tend to prefer German, French, or British English. After they willingly let the Foundation perform an Xray and MRI, it was found out that their physical structure is no different from any other human’s. However, it’s heart seems to pump blood faster than that of a normal human. The reason for this is currently unknown.
SCP-4139 claims they were born in the year of 1880. However, they won’t reveal what city or country they were born in. They say they moved to London, England in 1914 and began teaching in 1916. At the time of this being written, that would make SCP-4139 around 139 years old. When asked how this is possible they say it’s due to them being bitten by a “vampire”.
SCP-4139 will commonly talk about how they’d prefer it if they were out hunting “vampires” rather than sitting in their cell. However, there is no current proof that the vampires they speak of even exist. SCP-4139 claims their name is “Hans Vadym Blut” but there is no mention of this name anywhere.
SCP-4139 is prone to asking for live animals for food on some days. When delivered to them, they’ve been observed to drink the blood of the animal until it’s ‘dry’ and then leaving it there. On most days D-Class will be sent in to retrieve the dead animal. The animal is then handed over to foundation personnel for testing and research purposes. (Please note that these dead animals are sometimes given to SCP-049)
“The Vampire Hunter” as they’ve been dubbed can sometimes be seen reading a book they keep in their trench-coat or they can be seen testing their weaponry. Mr. Blut very rarely shows signs of hostility towards Foundation personnel and has shown to be quite a reasonable man. If it does show hostility towards personnel, it is to be removed from the premises before being returned to its cell.
SCP-4139 will commonly try to resolve problems with words rather than bullets. Although it’s believed they can fight very well. It’s thought they may only reason with humans and not vampires as they see them as trying to enslave humanity.
SCP-4139’s History: Occult Lesson-█
Before SCP-4139 was classified as an SCP, he taught at [REDACTED] University in London, England. Throughout many of his lessons, Intelligence Agency personnel were hidden among the students. The reason for them being there, was to see if he would be a good researcher for the Foundation.
The following lesson was recorded by Intelligence Agency Field Agent “Truce”.
[BEGIN LOG]
SCP-4139: Alright, alright, hurry up and sit down now! Today we’re going to have a bit more of a ‘hands-on’ lesson.
Student-1: Hands-on, Professor? What do you mean?
SCP-4139: Well, you’ll just have to wait and see. Now then, as I’m sure you all remember from my earlier lessons throughout the year, there are many things in our world you don’t know about. One of those things is the “Nosferatu”. Now, Nosferatu is an Archaic Romanian word synonymous with Vampire. (SCP-4139 writes the word ‘Nosferatu’ on the chalkboard behind it).
Now class, what are the main traits of a vampire?
Student-2: Their longer and sharper fangs, Professor!
SCP-4139: That’s correct, [REDACTED]. Vampires fangs are much sharper and are also, much longer. (SCP-4139 turns around and proceeds to draw a human-shaped face but with long, exposed fangs). These fangs are used for what, hmm?
Truce: To drink the blood of humans, Professor?
SCP-4139: That’s correct, Truce. The vampire will use their fangs to drink the blood of humans. They do this for a multitude of reasons. However, the main reasons are for strength and survival. The vampire needs blood to survive. Without it, it will slowly, but surely, die of starvation.
What else are common traits of the vampire, class? Anyone who says their skin shines when they’re in the sun is to leave my class immediately!
(The class breaks into muffled fits of laughter)
Student-1: They have bright-red eyes?
SCP-4139: Thank you, [REDACTED]! Yes, vampires commonly have red eyes. The reasons for this are unknown. But many believe it’s due to all the blood they drink. (SCP-4139 adds red eyes to the chalk drawing).
Student-3: They sleep in coffins!
SCP-4139: That’s true, but it’s less common than those other traits. Now then, what you forgot to mention is that vampires are much stronger, faster, and smarter than humans. Hence why it takes so many steps to kill a royal vampire.
Truce: Royal Vampire, sir?
SCP-4139: Royal vampires and humans that have been either bitten by another royal vampire or bitten by Dracula himself. All the traits we just listed, apply to only Royal-Vampires. Humans bit by a non-royal vampire, look like this. (He pulls a cloth off the top of his desk. Under the cloth is a sleeping beast that looks like a half-man, half-wolf, creature.)
(The class begins to scream and shriek at the sight of the beast. These screams awaken it and it begins to try and escape its bindings.)
SCP-4139: Calm down! All of you! This thing is much less dangerous than a royal! It can easily be killed with a stake through the heart or a holy-bullet piercing it’s vital organs. However, a royal must be killed by putting a stake through its heart, cutting off its head, burning the corpse, and scattering the ashes at a crossroads. For further information regarding how to kill a vampire, consult Bram Stoker. Now then! Who wants to come up here and slay a vampire? (SCP-4139 appears to be very giddy or happy at the thought of killing the beast on his desk).
(Truce raised his hand at the mention of killing the ‘vampire’)
SCP-4139: Well then, Truce, you were the first to raise your hand. You come down here and kill it.
(Truce stands up and approaches SCP-4139’s desk. When he gets there SCP-4139 hands him a wooden-stake that appears to be 6 inches in length.)
Truce: Through the heart, right, sir?
SCP-4139: That’s correct! Now, let’s see it happen, Truce.
(Truce rams the stake through the beast’s chest in the location of its heart. The beast groans or maybe even screams in pain as the stake is rammed into its chest. It’s hard to tell due to it sounding more like the groans of a wolf dying rather than a human. When the stake pierces the beast’s heart it turns to ash before everyone’s eyes.)
SCP-4139: See class! What’d I tell you! They turn to ash when they die! Now then- (SCP-4139 is cut off at the sound of the bell ringing) I guess that’ll be all for today. You’re all dismissed.
(The class hurriedly rushed out of the classroom. Truce follows them as to not blow his cover.)

Addendum 4139.1: Discovery
SCP-4139 was never originally meant to be classified as an SCP. They were going to become a researcher for the Foundation due to their vast knowledge about the supernatural and occult. However, during the tour of the site SCP-4139 was going to work, he engaged in combat with a D-Class that seemingly, transformed, into a “vampire”.
The following interview was conducted by Dr. Carl Discord during the initial investigation.
Interviewer: Dr. Carl Discord, Site-06-3
Interviewed: SCP-4139 “The Vampire Hunter”
[BEGIN LOG]
SCP-4139: (In German) Is this an interview? Do you require anything from me?
Dr. Carl: W-What language is that? Can someone get a translator in here?
SCP-4139: There will be no need for a translator. I speak many different languages from all around the world.
Dr. Carl: Good. Let’s get this started then. I’m told your name is, Hans Vadym Blut? Is that correct?
SCP-4139: That’s correct. I am Dr. Blut and that’s what you shall refer to me as. I mean, we are both doctors so it’d only be fair that you call me by my name. Seeing as I was a professor at [REDACTED] University in London. England.
Dr. Carl: Yes, we know this Dr. Blut. I’m sure you remember us explaining why were giving you this tour.
SCP-4139: Yes, yes, I remember. You were going to offer me a job here due to my great knowledge about the occult and supernatural.
Dr. Carl: That’s right. But, why did you fight that D-Class? And how were you able to fight it? You moved as if you were in your 20s.
SCP-4139: Being bitten by a royal does wonder for a human’s health. (SCP-4139 had a grin on his face as he made this comment)
Dr. Carl: Do you find this funny, Professor? That fact that you could’ve caused a breach and gotten our staff killed?
SCP-4139: I believe you should be thanking me. I saved your lives in that hallway. By the time your ‘Mobile Task Force’, as you call them, got there, the vampire would’ve already been on a rampage. If I hadn’t had killed it, then you’d have a breach on your hands. But, I don’t hear any sirens going off. So, I believe I did my job.
Dr. Carl: (He sighs before he continues) What even was that thing?
SCP-4139: A human bit by a non-royal vampire. That was its true form. They don’t look human, they’re beasts hiding among us.
Dr. Carl: That ‘Thing’ looked to be half-man, half-wolf. It didn’t look anything like a vampire in literature. It looked like a werewolf that had been soaked in blood that had dried up!
SCP-4139: You must suspend your beliefs, Doctor. That is what this Foundation does, suspends its beliefs. Because if you don’t suspend your beliefs, you will believe everything to look like a person’s imagination. Anyways, Werewolves don’t look anything like that. They look more like giant Grey Wolves.
Dr. Carl: You know what, Professor? I believe you’re going to have to be marked as an SCP due to this incident.
SCP-4139: Wait, wait, wait! You’re making me one of the horrible creatures you keep trapped here?! I’m nothing like them! I’m a bloody Professor! You can’t be serious, Herr Doctor!
Dr. Carl: I’m serious. (He signals the guards) Take him to a cell. We’ll furnish it for him later.
[The guards drag SCP-4139 out of the interrogation-room and take him to containment-cell. Throughout the journey to the cell SCP-4139 just kept yelling about how this was unfair. For some reason he didn’t struggle against the guards that dragged him to a cell.]
[END LOG]
Notes: SCP-4139 hasn’t been reinterviewed since his discovery. If SCP-4139 exhibits strange behavior towards a D-Class or any other personnel please report it to your superior immediately. It should also be noted that the above lesson was edited to ensure the privacy of the students and Field Agent “Truce”.
