The Black Light
SCP - 4092
Object Class - safe
Special containment procedures - SCP-4092 is to be given to all foundation personnel when doing tests with SCP-096 and installed in the ceiling of SCP-096’s cell. Other instances of SCP-4092 are to be kept in the armory or in wooden boxes kept in containment cells. The cells are to remain unlocked along with the wooden boxes in case of a breach or emergency.
Description - SCP-4092 appears to be a standard black light; however, it will cause darkness where it is “shined.” The darkness will override all light that it is put on like a shadow. SCP-4092 is also powerful enough to hide SCP-096’s face. SCP-096 will not enter an enraged state if looked at when SCP-4092 is shone on it, making it effective when containing SCP-096. If something moves in front of SCP-4092, light is not created, but the level of darkness doesn’t seem to change. SCP-4092 doesn’t have a logo or company name on it, even though it is shipped to the foundation. When disassembled, the parts of SCP-4092 don’t seem to be anomalous, and when put into other devices it will act as a normal black light. When parts are replaced with other parts from black lights, lightbulbs, electronics, or other instances of SCP-4092, it will remain anomalous. Every month, 50-70 instances are shipped to the foundation, but will be lower then stop when all level 2 staff and up have one and there are 30 extras. If more than 25 break, are lost, or die then the shipments will resume to accommodate for the lost instances. Instances of SCP-4092 have a limited battery life, but changing the batteries causes SCP-4092 to act non-anomalous.
Test 1: SCP-096 - June 4
- Class-D is given SCP-4092
- Class-D is then instructed to turn on SCP-4092 and enter SCP-096’s containment chamber and shine SCP-4092 on SCP-096 before looking at it
- Class-D is told to look at SCP-096’s face while still shining SCP-4092 on it
- 45 seconds pass
- SCP-096 does not react to the class-D
- Class-D is told to leave the chamber and turn off SCP-4092
- TEST END
Notes: This is interesting. If it works on SCP-096, then it should work on SCP-173.
Test 2: SCP-173 - June 12
- Three class-D subjects are given SCP-4092
- Class-D’s are instructed to turn on SCP-4092 and enter SCP-173’s containment chamber and shine SCP-4092 at SCP-173
- Class-D’s are told to stare at SCP-4092 for 15 seconds
- All camera footage is turned off
- SCP-173 doesn’t move
- Footage is turned on and class-D’s are told to turn off SCP-4092 and exit the chamber
- TEST END
Notes: SCP-173 should have moved. Maybe the whole room needs to be affected by SCP-4092 so SCP-173’s silhouette is hidden by the shadows on the walls.
Test 3: SCP-173 - June 17
- SCP-4092 is installed in the ceiling of SCP-173’s containment chamber and hooked to a light switch in the control room (the SCP-4092’s were installed in a way that only the lower half of the walls and the floor were affected)
- Three class-D’s are instructed to enter SCP-173’s cell and stare at SCP-173
- When the class-D’s are in the cell, the SCP-4092’s in the ceiling are activated and footage was turned off
- after 10 seconds, the SCP-4092’s were turned off
- 2 of the three class-D’s were dead, the last one in a corner with SCP-173 5 feet away from him
- Class-D instructed to leave the containment chamber
- TEST END
Notes: it seems that SCP-173 have to be hidden along with the walls so it’s silhouette isn’t seen.
The virus
SCP-4174
Object class - safe
Special Containment Procedures - Due to the nature of SCP-4174, the only required containment is that this document is saved online and is written by a class-D. This is done to prevent loss of staff in the documentation of SCP-4174. This document will be locked immediately before SCP-4174 can delete the information. Also, the only documentation of SCP-4174 in the outside world that needs to be redacted or removed is online files.
Description - SCP-4174 is a virus that affects both computers and animals. The virus is caught/downloaded when any files relating to SCP-4174 are saved in any way (ex. on a text document, on a website, etc.);however, knowing or speaking about SCP-4176 doesn’t activate it. SCP-4174-1 is the computer version of the virus. SCP-4174-1 will be downloaded and will immediately start rewrite and delete code in the computer, starting with the code that allows deletion of programs. It will start with trying to delete the file the information is in. If it is saved online, then it will try to edit the document. Even though it is a virus and anomalous, it can’t use any powers on a website that the user can’t use. By locking a document, it will save it from SCP-4174. After trying to delete the information, it will move on to all other files in the computer, deleting them one by one. After all the files are gone, it will move onto key files that allow the startup, logging in, and running of a computer, leaving the computer completely irreversible over the course of 5 days to the second. If there are no other files on the computer, then it will act much slower.
SCP-4174-2 is the biological version of the virus. When information about SCP-4174 is saved, it will infect the person who saved the document. It will begin as a minor cough, but will get worse. The cough becomes so extreme that it rips up the lungs, causing suffocation. This happens over the course of 5 days, down to the second. Both viruses will kill the host at the same time.

The Time Cabin
SCP-XXXX
Object class - Euclid
Special containment procedures - SCP-XXXX’s dial must be set to “10 seconds” at all times. At least one guard is to be stationed at the entrance of SCP-XXXX to prevent anyone from changing the time on SCP-XXXX-1. Violation of this rule will result in a demotion. In the event of its use when it is set above or below “10 seconds,” the circumference of the house is to be sealed off with caution tape.
Description - SCP-XXXX is a wooden house with a living room, a kitchen, a master bedroom, a laundry room, a bedroom, and a bathroom. There are no windows or holes that allow anyone to look inside or out of SCP-XXXX. There is a hallway that connects the bedroom and the master bedroom where a thermostat is located just before the master bedroom. The thermostat is designated SCP-XXXX-1. SCP-XXXX-1 doesn't show temperatures, but instead shows time in intervals of 5 seconds, starting at 5 seconds ending at 1 minute. For every 10 seconds spent in the house with the door closed, the time on the thermostat will pass outside of the house.
All attempts to remove, damage, or disassemble SCP-XXXX-1 have met with failure. SCP-XXXX can be damaged, but once the door is closed, all damage done will quickly be regenerated. The home has no pluming or electricity, but has working utilities and lights. While the door is open or SCP-XXXX-1 is set to "10 seconds," outside communication is possible. Cable, WiFi, network, and walkie-talkies work in the house. Once the door is closed, all outside communication is lost. The walls are completely sound proof and all network is cut and anything that tells time will be nonfunctional.
The door of SCP-XXXX can't be closed from the outside unless SCP-XXXX-1 is set to "10 seconds." If the door is closed and there isn't any living humans inside, then the door will automatically open. When the door is closed, it is impossible to enter SCP-XXXX, even trying to drill through the floor has no effect. Graffiti of any kind is not possible, as paint and other forms of recoloring will either act like water or not appear on SCP-XXXX.
SCP-XXXX was first discovered when a couple were camping and their campsite was ruined by rain. They ran through the woods and discovered SCP-XXXX and SCP-XXXX-1. When they set SCP-XXXX-1 to "30 seconds," they thought they were increasing the temperature. The couple was suprised to find that they had been in the house for a whole day. When they had left SCP-XXXX, the foundation was contacted and was sent to retrieve
SCP-XXXX from the woods. There were no known records of anyone living or making the house prior to the event, and satellite footage showed that it seemed appeared out of no where when there weren't satellites watching it.
Dry Mountain
SCP-XXXX
Object class - Euclid
Special containment procedures - The perimeter of SCP-XXXX is to be lined with a 3 meter tall, 2 meter thick brick wall, with a 30 centimeter long overhang behind it. The outside of the wall must be patrolled by at least eight guards at all times, with guards being switched out at intervals of 8 hours. Every 5 meters, a guard will be stationed on top of the wall. All guards must use hazmat suits, 2 oxygen tanks, and a flamethrower. Satellite images should be replaced, and any civilians that see SCP-XXXX must be administered an amnesiac.
Any exploration or surveillance done within SCP-XXXX or SCP-XXXX-1 must be done with drones. If a human expedition is needed, permission must be granted by two Level 3 staff members, and a team of a minimum 5 armed guards is needed. If a guard’s suit breaks, they should be assumed dead, and be left behind.
Description - SCP-XXXX is the anomalous climate and area of effect of the mountain with exactly 1 kilometer between its boundary and the surface of SCP-XXXX-1 at all times. SCP-XXXX affects everything from the atmosphere to what is assumed to be the mantle. The inside of SCP-XXXX has a blue hue that can be seen even before entering SCP-XXXX and the temperature of SCP-XXXX is -80˚C. If ice enters SCP-XXXX, it will become dry ice, and revert back to ice once it leaves. Normal dry ice won’t change if it enters or leaves SCP-XXXX. If clouds start raining, snowing, or hailing, then the precipitation will become dry ice once it enters SCP-XXXX.
SCP-XXXX-1 is a mountain about 750 meters tall with a radius of 3 kilometers covered in dry ice. Despite there being little to no moisture in the air, there is a constant fog layering the mountain and ground. The fog seems to come from the caves layering SCP-XXXX-1, not the dry ice. The fog never leaves SCP-XXXX, and dissipates when it reaches the edge. The sound of smashing can be heard periodically from deep in the caves. No drones or humans have been able to go deep enough into SCP-XXXX-1 to determine the source.
