Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be contained inside a small grey box, measuring ( 0.3 m x 0.3 m x 0.4 m) in room 28 at Site-15. Object is to be maintained by a watchmaker bi-yearly for battery replacement. Human contact with SCP-XXXX is to be only allowed under maintenance or testing.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a ██████-brand diving watch approximately 4.28 ounces in weight. The object is made of an unknown alloy composing of Titanium and an unbreakable metal. Scratches on the object suggest the object was once non-anomalous. The phrase “The Water Calls Me” is scratched in on the backside of the object.

SCP-XXXX is fully functional and tracks time just like any other watches of its kind, other features exhibit normal behavior. SCP-XXXX’s anomalous property is shown when a subject turns the time ring to any time (Time ranges from 0 to 60 minutes). Upon turning, the interior of the room SCP-XXXX was located in will start to fill with water of unknown origin. Regardless of the volume of the room, the room will be completely submerged in 30 seconds. Every living subject present in the room will have no issues with respiration in water for the designated time.

If the time was set to anything below 10 minutes, the room will stay submerged for the specified time and will drain in a constant time of 30 seconds. SCP-XXXX will appear to be completely dry at the end, showing no sign of water contact. The time ring will be automatically set back at 0.

If the time was set to anything above 10 minutes and below 50 minutes, the room will stay submerged with water for the first 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, the water will slowly transform into a variety of acid, depending on the time. Experimentation has revealed that SCP-XXXX is capable of generating Hydrochloric Acid, Benzoic Acid, Sulfuric Acid, and Hydroiodic acid. While harmless under normal testing, unshielded subjects might suffer from mild discomfort to death depending on the time tested. All Class-Ds who came into contact with the acids are to be terminated.

If the time was set to anything above 50 minutes, SCP-XXXX and any subjects will disappear from the water submerged room after 30 seconds. The room will remain submerged in water and show no change in chemical composition for the time designated. The effects of SCP-XXXX on subjects in this time frame is varying and unpredictable. After the designated time, SCP-XXXX and all subjects will appear again prior to draining. Two subjects have successfully returned alive. (See SCP-XXXX-C and SCP-XXXX-D) Cause of death for other subjects ranged from Hypothermia, Cardiac Arrest, Asphyxiation, Narcosis, to being physically cut in half. One subject returned dead appearing to be bitten in half.

Addendum 1: History

SCP-XXXX was found off the coast of ███████ on ██/██/2019. The watch showed no sign of water damage and was functional. The foundation was alerted to its anomalous properties when a man claimed his room filled with water and he was able to breathe underwater for 10 minutes. SCP-XXXX was retrieved on ██/██/2019, the man was brought into custody for questioning. The man was administered with Class A Amnesiacs and released from Foundation custody.

The foundation was unable to find the original owner of SCP-XXXX. The phrase “The Water Calls Me” was traced back to a book █████ ██████ had written in 20██. However, upon questioning, █████ ██████ claimed he had “never seen the god damn watch before in his life.” He was later released from Foundation custody with Class A Amnesiacs. The Foundation has found the evidence inconclusive in finding the original owner of SCP-XXXX.

Experiment N - ██/██/19
Class D was instructed to turn the dial to 55 minutes. Room was submerged in water in 30 seconds.
Upon completely submerging, the Class D vanished from all recording equipment and observation.
After 55 minutes, the Class D reappeared with SCP-XXXX, room was drained in 30 seconds.
Subject's time of death was approximately 95 minutes before draining.
Subject's time of death concluded that time dilation occurred between disappearance and appearance.
Cause of death was physical, being bitten in half by an unknown creature.

Experiment A - ██/██/19
Class D was instructed to turn the dial to 60 minutes. Room was submerged in water in 30 seconds.
Upon completely submerging, the Class D vanished from all recording equipment and observation.
After 60 minutes, the Class D reappeared with SCP-XXXX, room was drained in 30 seconds.
Subject's time of death was approximately 42 minutes before draining.
Cause of death was cardiac arrest, the experiment was declared an outlier as death was caused by the subject.

Class D was instructed to turn the dial to 55 minutes. Room was submerged in water in 30 seconds.
Upon completely submerging, the Class D vanished from all recording equipment and observation.
After 55 minutes, the Class D reappeared with SCP-XXXX, room was drained in 30 seconds.
Subject was found to be dehydrated and suffering from mild hypothermia.
Subject was questioned later upon recovery.
