Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in Vault 7-M at Storage Site-77. Item must be worn by a Level 2 researcher for 1 hour every 3 days, to prevent SCP-XXXX's secondary effect from occurring.
SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a high security vault at Research Site-7, guarded by deaf security personnel with limited knowledge of foundation assets and protocols. Everyday, a D-class subject with no previous exposure to amnestics is to be escorted into the vault. Subject is to be restrained in a chair, and wear SCP-XXXX for exactly 1 hour. Afterwards, if the subject is still alive, they are to be administered A-Class amnestics and transferred to a different site.
Audio logs are only to be reviewed by Level 3/XXXX personnel and above, with mentions of SCP-████, [REDACTED] Division, and [DATA EXPUNGED] reported to O5-8.
Description: SCP-XXXX is a necklace composed of a silver chain and a pendant of unidentified white crystal, laced with pulsating red filaments. SCP-XXXX was recovered from ████████ county police department, after incident XXXX-01.
SCP-XXXX's primary anomalous effect occurs when worn around the neck of any conscious human being. While the individual wears the item, they gain the ability to recall all their memories with perfect clarity, including ones removed by the use of amnestics. Certain wearers also gain the ability to view the memories of nearby individuals. Due to the security concerns this poses, SCP-XXXX is not to be tested with D-Class personnel.
SCP-XXXX's secondary effect occurs when more than 3 days have passed without it being worn. Individuals that have had exposure to amnestics withing 100 meters of SCP-XXXX, classified as SCP-XXXX-A instances, will start to misremember events. Generally it starts with small things, such as a coworker not holding a door or a higher-up berating them. Over the course of the next few days, the altered memories will include events such as non-existent arguments and threats, escalating over the course of the week to fights and attacks. On day 7, all SCP-XXXX-A instances will become convinced that those around them had just [DATA EXPUNGED]. Most instances will proceed to attack both each other and those unaffected by SCP-XXXX, before [DATA EXPUNGED]. SCP-XXXX will then go dormant for 1 week, repeating the cycle in not worn within 3 days. The surviving SCP-XXXX-A instances are to be administered E-Class amnestics by Level 4 or higher personnel, and relocated to small towns with foundation monitoring.
