SCP-XXXX (Image taken by Johan S███████ from far away.)

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is to be kept in an arid 135m x 135m(442ft x 442ft). Besides SCP-XXXX's food, no plant-life or trees is allowed within SCP-XXXX containment area. SCP-XXXX's food consists of mostly grass, leaves and twigs that should only be given by a robot (See Addendum SCP-XXXX.2 Experiment 5). A small build-in pool of water is located on the bottom left side of SCP-XXXX's containment area that will be refilled once a month through a pipeline. No personnel or animal is allowed inside of SCP-XXXX's containment area unless they are used for testing. No biological life should come within around 6 meter(20ft) of SCP-XXXX as to not trigger SCP-XXXX's anomalous effects.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a male shiras moose(Alces Acles shirasi) with a height of around 2m(6.5ft) and a weight of around 660kg(1455lbs). Its body is covered with dark brown fur and has reddish coloured antlers with a length 2.1m(6.8ft) and a span of 1.8m(5.9ft) on its head and has two(2) dark brown eyes.

SCP-XXXX has an average level intelligence and normally acts calm. But, if any living creature manages to come close to it, its eyes will become luminescent and will start releasing a bright orange smoke from its body. Anything that comes in contact with the smoke will then catch on fire. The range of the smoke is currently not fully clear, but it seems to be around five(5) meters(16.4ft).

SCP-XXXX spends most of its time sleeping and eating twigs and leaves. SCP-XXXX also enjoys collecting strangely shaped rocks it finds and takes them back to its sleeping area. Sometimes, SCP-XXXX will try to make a picture of trees or plants it has seen using the rocks.

Aftermath of the January 2nd Wildfire

Discovery: The existence of SCP-XXXX was alerted on 2/1/200█ after a small wildfire happened in Bighorn National Forest, located in Wyoming, USA. The fire burned around 0.24km2(60acre) of land and lasted around 40 minutes. There were no deaths and only two(2) injured.

A hunter near the area named Johan S███████ testified to the firemen at the scene about seeing a supposed "Fire Moose" that had glowing eyes and smoke all around it. Foundation personnel were alerted about Johan S███████ he was later taken into custody for interrogation and MTF Lamda-12 ("Pest Control") was send to look for the supposed "Fire Moose" that Johan S███████ was talking about.

A few hours later, MTF Lamda-12 ("Pest Control") managed to find SCP-XXXX after one of the MTF soldiers accidentally found it sleeping. When they approached and woke it up, SCP-XXXX released the bright orange smoke from its body and caught the MTF soldier on fire. Luckily, MTF Lamda-12 ("Pest Control") managed to put out the fire from SCP-XXXX before it could spread and the MTF soldier only sustained minor burns.

MTF Lamda-12 ("Pest Control) later managed to find SCP-XXXX sleeping on the ground a few meters away. SCP-XXXX was then later lured into a container and transported by a helicopter to its containment area. A member of The Foundation later testified to the media that the cause of the wildfire was from a lit cigarette as cover up. See Addendum XXXX.1 for the interrogation log of Johan S███████.

Addendum XXXX.1: The interrogation log of Johan S███████ conducted by Dr. Ufeka

Addendum XXXX.2: Experiment log of SCP-XXXX

Dr. Ufeka was allowed conducted a few experiments on SCP-XXXX to see how it reacts to humans and other animals it sees.

Experiment 1
Subject A white-tailed deer(Odocoileus virginianus)
Protocol A white-tailed deer has been put in SCP-XXXX's containment area to see how it would react to another mammal in the area.
Results SCP-XXXX spots the deer in the distance and decides to walk away and hide from it. The deer doesn't spot SCP-XXXX.
Experiment 2
Subject A woodland vole(Microtus pinetorum)
Protocol A woodland vole with a small camera attached to it has been put in SCP-XXXX's containment area to see how SCP-XXXX would react to vermin.
Results SCP-XXXX doesn't see the vole at first, but when SCP-XXXX did noticed the vole and the vole noticed it, SCP-XXXX ran as fast as it could from it.
Expriment 3
Subject D-5799
Protocol D-5799 was put inside SCP-XXXX's containment area and asked to locate SCP-XXXX approach it carefully to see how SCP-XXXX would react to a human.
Results D-5799 managed to find SCP-XXXX sleeping behind a tree. When SCP-XXXX woke up, it automatically ran away from D-5799. D-5799 was told not to pursue SCP-XXXX.
Experiment 4
Subject A bald eagle(Haliaeetus leucocephalus)
Protocol A camera was attached to a bald eagle and has been put in SCP-XXXX's containment area to see hoe SCP-XXXX would react to aves.
Results SCP-XXXX was eating twigs when it saw the bald eagle fly over it, but didn't seem to be bothered by it and continued eating. When the bald eagle decided to fly down near the area where SCP-XXXX was eating, SCP-XXXX decided to run away from the bald eagle.
Experiment 5
Subject A robot with a build-in camera
Protocol A robot was put inside SCP-XXXX's containment area to see how SCP-XXXX would react to artificial intelligence.
Results As soon as SCP-XXXX spotted the robot, it curiously walked up to it and observed it. SCP-XXXX did not seem to react to it negatively and then walked away. This means SCP-XXXX's anomalous powers do not activate around artificial life.

Notes: After these experiments, Dr. Ufeka has proposed a theory that SCP-XXXX is aware of its power and stays away from other animals and humans not because it thinks they're dangerous, but because it doesn't want anything to activate its fire powers and to harm the environment.
