Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is currently kept in a Lunar Area-115 on the far side of the moon. The facility is a round building with a 10km radius made from compacted regolith, SCP-XXXX is placed in the center of this building in a 10x10x10 meters vault with a wall width of 5 meters. Automatic and remote cotrolled robots are used to control and repair the building. The data from the facility cameras is transmitted to lunar Area-32 for observation.
It's forbidden to all the staff to approach the facility, and the vessels passing over the building have to keep an altitude superior to 10km. D-class personnel can be sent for testing within the facility with the approval of 3 level 4 researchers.
Description: SCP-XXXX is an object composed 4.104 moles of protons and the same number of neutrons in consequence it have a stable mass of 80kg. SCP-XXXX can duplicate any object1, that is not being thought by any animal intelligence2 in a range of 4km. All the originals objects had been found in a range of maximum 88.6 light years for now.(see Addendum 1).
If a subject think about the original object SCP-XXXX will instantly copy another object. If SCP-XXXX can't be in a stable shape for enough time it will begin to see any animal intelligence as a threat and will try to terminate it by duplicating the appropriate object ( so it happens when it's observed even hrough a screen)
When no animal intelligences are present SCP-XXXX will change shape every 4h for a random new object.
Discovery:
The object was discovered by the police of █████████, Belgium while observing the security cameras recordings of a local supermarket, they noticed the presence of a specimen of Panthera Uncia. On the record the felid broke the window of the supermarket and when the neightbors arrived, because of the shop alarm, the leopard disappeared instantly. The citizens present began coughing and fell dead after a few minutes. The autopsy revealed that the cause of their death was gaz intoxication, however not a single trace of toxic gases was found in the victims lungs. Only Jean █████ survived and delivered an interview to the foundation. The recording were published on the web, after discovering the video the Foudation began a disinformation campaign.
The foundation sent the mobile task force Tau-10, they first evacuated the village and then deployed drones to find traces of the anomaly. A drone found a 40dm3 amethyst crystal in a near forest a group of D-class personnel wearing gaz masks was sent near the anomaly. They discovered corpses of animals on the way. When they arrived at 4km of distance from the anomaly, it changed shape for a cube of nitrogen ice, they had real time feed from the drone and when a D-class watched it, the anomaly apparently vanished and some seconds later the D personnel ignited probably from a high concentration of oxygen in the air surrounding him. The Tau-10 command decided to immediately contain the anomaly in a metal vault using only remote-controlled drones. The anomaly took a solid shape 12h later resembling an asteroid, the anomaly had then been took to Area-2 however it had been moved to the Lunar Area-115 (made on purpose to contain SCP-XXXX) because of incident a (see Incident Log-a)
