SCP-5???

Item #: SCP-5???

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures:
SCP-5??? must be contained within a 5x6.25x5 meter steel cell at Site-███, preferably with a stand to place it on. This cell must be free of any holes or cracks. SCP-5??? may be visited by any personnel of clearance level 2 or higher. SCP-5???'s cell must be checked daily for any cracks, holes, and chemicals, as these contents may lead to a containment breach or problems. No scientific or cleaning chemicals shall be allowed in SCP-5???'s containment, with the exception of small amounts of water. This is due to an incident that occurred on January 8th, 2020. (See Addendum 5???.2)

Description:
SCP-5??? was located in █████████, Wisconsin, in the US. Mobile Task Force squad Golf-04 of Site-██ was ordered to collect and contain SCP-5??? on July ██, 2019, after local man Mark ██████ reported anomalous behavior.

SCP-5??? appears to be a block of cheese, identified later as cheddar. When left alone in an area, SCP-5??? (in a currently unknown way) moves approximately [DATA EXPUNGED] cm per hour around it's containment, based on security footage. All tests have proven SCP-5??? to consist of normal dairy particles, therefore leaving it's movement anomalous. However, this movement is not random. Security cameras have shown that SCP-5??? tends to move in ways that form English sentences, based on sped up footage (even though SCP-5??? does not leave a visible trace of movement). Some of these sentences seem to be messages of fear, such as "What will happen to me?" and "[REDACTED]". It is not currently been proved if SCP-5??? has a sentience, but O5-███ suggests the movement of SCP-5??? is "Not a coincidence" and "Has something behind it". SCP-5??? has not "expressed" any violent behavior, but seems as if it is worried and confused, based on trailed sentences. Another anomalous ability of SCP-5??? is being able to slowly travel through small holes and cracks. (See Addendum 5???.3)

Addendum 5???.1: On November █, 2019, it was found that a woman named Sandra ████████ was the one who sold the cheese block, or SCP-5???, to Mark ██████. She was interviewed by Dr. ███ 1 week later.

Interview of Sandra ████████ with Dr. ███

Dr. ███: "Hello, Ms. ████████. I assume, about █ months ago, you sold a block of cheddar cheese to Mr. Mark ██████?">
Sandra ████████ : "Yes, that is correct. I sold him the block for $17.99. I probably still have his receipt laying somewhere."

Foreword: [Dr. ███ proceeds to ask Sandra about the origins of SCP-5??? and what it was like before being sold to Mark]

<Begin Log, 2:14 PM, November ██, 2019>

Dr. ███: "So, do you have any specific information on this block of cheese?"

Sandra ████████: "Well, I made it myself using one of my cow's milk. I don't know anything else odd at all that happened. Sorry, I guess my information is useless. Oh wait, yeah, there was something. When I was coming back to check on the bucket of milk a few hours after letting it sit, it had moved like, a foot. No one had been home around that time, I honestly don't know how it got there."

Dr. ███: "Have you ever experienced this movement of objects before this?"
Sandra ████████: "No, I really don't think so. The only weird thing I've ever encountered was that time my brother wandered off decades ago. Never seen again. I still remember him, he was all into conspiracies and reincarnation, lots of crazy stuff. I really hope Brian is off doing fine these days…"
Dr. ███: "Thank you, all information can be found useful." >
<End Log, 2:19 PM, November ██, 2019>

Closing Statement: [SCP-5??? remains anomalous and mysterious, though now we know that SCP-5??? has had it's anomalous powers before Sandra made it into cheese. Unfortunately, the interview did not provide much information about SCP-5???'s anomalous abilities and behavior. Further biological tests are to be made on SCP-5???]

Addendum 5???.2: Incident 1/8/2020

During SCP-5???'s first containment cleaning on January 8th, 2020, a janitor exposed SCP-5??? to standard cleaning chemicals. Four hours later, SCP-5??? moved into the chemicals left behind. 27 minutes after that, SCP-5??? started emitting a gas around itself for about 12 minutes that left a janitor poisoned and unconscious. Later tests reveal that the gas was made of the same chemicals used to clean the containment cell, and it had poisoned the janitor's lungs. This has also happened during tests where SCP-5??? was exposed to other chemicals and liquids, proving to be extremely dangerous following the death of D-7588.

Addendum 5???.3: Incident 3/30/2020
When a destructive D-Class personnel caused damage to SCP-5???'s containment during a test, it left a small hole about [REDACTED] cm wide and [REDACTED] cm long. The next day, SCP-5??? was found approximately 3 feet away from it's containment door. Later, it was shown in security footage that SCP-5??? had (in an unknown way) changed it's shape to climb through the hole and into a nearby hallway. Afterward, tests showed that SCP-5??? could repeat this ability with any material, as long as the hole was [DATA EXPUNGED] of area.
