Special Containment Procedures: Upon re-containment of SCP-5795, as well as the containment of any possible duplicates of this SCP, they are to be kept separately in small 3x3x7 m cells with no less than 1000 lumens worth of light constantly flooding the room at all times. These lights are to be shielded by bulletproof glass 7 cm thick and powered by backup generators in the case of a site-wide power failure. At no point is SCP-5795 allowed to make contact with shadows for fear of another containment breach. For this purpose, no one under level 3 clearance and without written permission from that site's director should be allowed to visit SCP-5795 once back in containment, except for the express purpose of maintaining the room's functions by engineering staff.
Description: When exposed to copious amounts of light SCP-5795 appears to be nothing more than a well-sculpted porcelain statue of a women. The statue stands 5 m tall with the human section measuring 3 m tall and the base of the statue taking up 2x2x2 m. The statues SCP-5795 appeared as have always shown to be different in terms of features. For instance, her body's measurements will always differ from statues prior, as will the type of hair, upper body clothing, poses she takes, and other various details. The only constant factors between statues will be her face and the fact that each statue is always wearing a dress of some kind. SCP-5795 has shown to be capable of little movement while a statue, only ever moving her eyes while no one seems to be looking.
In the dark however, SCP-5795 will typically break open from the statue she is encased in and can be described as an entirely naked half-human, half-centipede female hybrid with the exception of her face, which is fused to the porcelain mask she wears while a statue. Her upper half is entirely human and, while abnormally large, appears malnourished and deformed with a hunchback and thin, gangling arms. Other features include long grey hair, pale skin, and overgrown fingernails. The lower portion consists of relatively short body segments containing one pair of legs each. Though her lower half only contains twenty segments and forty limbs, analysis reveals these segments to be similar in DNA to the stone centipede species.
Experimentation has shown that SCP-5795's mask is capable of cracking open at the section where its lips meet, revealing a large circular maw lined with sharp teeth and hiding a sharp, serrated tongue. This is because she is shown to be capable of shooting her tongue out like a rifle, to an observed limit of 30 m and then lashing it around like a whip before retracting it back into her mouth. She is also capable of using this tongue like a syringe, injecting a liquefying acid, before sucking all the blood and organs from anything unfortunate enough to get stuck by it. This event then triggers a sudden metamorphosis within SCP-5795, where her skin begins to tan and flourish, almost becoming muscular. Then she will double in size, and grow ███████████ jutting out in between each of the segments of her spine. After approximately 37 hours, she will shrink back halfway to her previous size with her skin reverting to its pale, wrinkly complexion and her ███████████ retracting back inside her body.
The reason for SCP-5795's shifting between statues are a result of her deadly allergy to any and all forms of light. Light reaching anywhere between 100-350 lumens will cause her to become agitated and develop rashes. Anywhere between 351-900 and she begins to express severe pain as burn marks begin to form. Somewhere around 1000 or more and her body's sweat glands begin profusely secreting a liquid covering her entire entire body before hardening into a substance identical to porcelain. Studies suggest she is capable of doing this whenever she desires in order to disguise herself. However, in the presence of deadly amounts of light her body forces it out as a self-preservation mechanism.
Despite her monstrous appearance, most researchers find SCP-5795 to be quite civil, even playful, given her mood. Upon initial containment it was discovered that SCP-5795 spoke fluent Korean after attempting to converse with staff lounging outside her cell window. For the next three hours she then demonstrated an understanding of several other dozen languages in an effort to confuse researchers rushing to find which translator they needed to conduct a proper interview before finally admitting she spoke English. Despite this, SCP-5795 tends to carry herself in a mature, cooperative manner during conversations. Interviews and experimentation revealed SCP-5795 has a memetic effect most pronounced on younger individuals that corrects problematic behavior after prolonged exposure to her. In the interview right before her escape, SCP-5795 revealed the possibility that more instances of her type may be present within the world.

As of most recently, we have discovered that in addition to the incredible amounts of speed, strength, and abilities of SCP-5795, that she is capable of umbrakinesis, as it's believed that she managed to escape containment by using the darkness of her cell to shift between shadows in the facility before escaping the foundation site altogether. The maximum distance she can travel using this phenomena is unknown. Why she never attempted to escape prior to the five years spent in SCP captivity is, according to her, because she wanted to make sure that the children would be all right without her.

http://www.scpwiki.com/scp-053 has recently seen a noticeable improvement in her mood as well as been increasingly cooperation during interviews. While I always cherish the opportunity to learn more about our SCP's, I worry that this shift in progress is only a result of the recent holidays passing by. No matter how many times I instruct my staff not to grow sentimental toward the SCPs, they can't ever seem to help but want to cheer up the more human SCPs with gifts and praise by the time Christmas rolls around. What they don't understand is that SCP-053, like most children, craves constant attention. Once she realizes the people who showered her with attention weren't sticking around her condition will probably worsen, and we can't afford to have round the clock therapists working to cheer her up. She's even started referring to one of the researchers as "mommy"! Once I find whoever got it in their head that they can treat my SCP's like this without my permission is getting put in for a demotion and site transfer pronto.
