Special Containment Procedures: SCP-TBD is to be stored inside an 11 ft by 9 ft by 11 ft steel reinforced cube, the cube will be housed 3 km beneath Deep Housing Site Gamma 12 in a 20 ft by 15 ft by 20 ft room. The entire room has been soundproofed using high grade sound proof material to ensure no sound can escape from the housing room, the housing room will be sealed off from all on-site personnel except to complete the on-site protocol designated Alpha 1. Alpha 1 is to be completed once every 30 days to ensure the SCP stays contained within the site housing at all times
Description: SCP-TBD is a 9 ft by 8 ft by 9 ft object that resembles a human heart, the SCP is coloured a dark shade of green and has no connections to any other organs or blood supply but continues to have a heartbeat as if the SCP was still alive however no other signs of life have been detected and by all other measures has been confirmed deceased by on-site researchers. The heartbeat has been recorded at 80 bpm and never fluctuates from this set bpm however it has been recorded increasing when the on-site staff initiate the Alpha 1 protocol, the bpm has been recorded incresing by anywhere from 10 to 30 bpm.
The heart is shown to have a powerful hypnotic effect on all who hear the beating of the heart, the effect rapidly takes hold in a person and creates the strong desire to worship it, any effected persons upon hearing the heartbeat enter a trance like state and begin chanting in a language unknown to any Foundation personnel but is currently being studied by researchers. The chanting continues for as long as the effected can hear the heartbeat however if moved to an area where the heartbeat can no longer be heard then they will immediately seek the quickest way for them to commit suicide, this has included taking an on-site guards firearm and shooting themselves, wedging their head in a site door as its sealing shut and even breaking a bone in their own arm before pulling it out and using it to slit their throat.
Any persons allowed to stay within the range of the heartbeat will initiate a ritual which will be outlined under the Alpha 1 protocol.
