Item #: SCP-xxxx

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: A sample of SCP-xxxx is to be contained in a standard styrofoam container at -80 C in Pathogen Storage Site-12. Captive SCP-xxxx-1 instances are to be monitored and cross-referenced with records etched in bronze stored on-site and with non-bespoke digital Foundation records. Any discrepancies must be immediately reported to O5 command. Any non-captive instances of SCP-xxxx-1 should be euthanized and incinerated, with previous owners being issued Class C amnestics. PTF Upsilon-2 "Red Ferns" is to be on watch for non-Foundation files, records, images, or writings regarding or relating to SCP-xxxx-1 worldwide and remove them as soon as they are found.

Description: SCP-xxxx is an anomalous subspecies of Rotavirus A carried by 50% of 80% of 100% of animals of species Pfuga occidentalis, also known as the common housepfug, designated SCP-xxxx-1. Symptoms of SCP-xxxx infection, as they have come to be understood, include retrocausal evolutionary regression and subsequent environmental restructuring. Recorded information is resistant to this effect, the more permanent the method of recording, the more resistant the record. For this reason, chiseled granite or etched bronze is the preferred method of recording information relating to SCP-xxxx-1. SCP-xxxx was discovered by the Foundation when a local news broadcast from ███████, ████████ covering pet neglect received international attention over coverage of SCP-xxxx-1 instances, citing lack of provided water, space to hunt, and grooming necessary for large, thick-furred animals. Said SCP-xxxx-1 instances bore only passing resemblance to any known breed of housepfug, and are believed to be from an earlier stage of infection. SCP-xxxx spreads through anomalous, retroactive infection in utero from infant carriers to uninfected mothers at a 100% contagion rate, in addition to means of infection typical of non-anomalous Rotavirus A. These factors in combination have rendered SCP-xxxx ubiquitous among SCP-xxxx-1 populations worldwide, even in remote locations.
