A Kind Spirit (SCP-4432 Draft)

Item Number: SCP-4432
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4432 and SCP-4432-1 are to be kept at site 29 in a standard humanoid containment cell. SCP-4432-1 is to be provided with 3 meals daily and is allowed to request specific meals. SCP-4432-1 is permitted to leave the containment area when escorted by a minimum of one level 2 clearance personnel. However, neither SCP-4432 or SCP-4432-1 are allowed to enter any Euclid or Keter containment areas. Due to the nature of SCP-4432-1, it may request access to any researcher for the stated reason of, "Making their day better!", "turning that frown upside down.", or any similar phrasing of morale-boosting efforts. All requests must be approved by a level 3 researcher or higher.
Description: SCP-4432 describes a luminescent and roughly spherical entity, 5 centimeters in diameter. SCP-4432-1 is a young girl, age 13, that SCP-4432 is bonded to, but otherwise shows no anomalous effects. SCP-4432-1 is abnormally charismatic and charming due to the effects of SCP-4432. SCP-4432 itself causes anything within a 5-meter radius of SCP-4432-1 to experience feelings of warmth, comfort, and calmness. Affected individuals heal at an abnormally quick rate, and report feeling energized and well-rested.

If exposed for a period of 0-12 minutes, these effects will persist but significantly dampen over the next 10 minutes. If exposed for a period of 13-60 minutes, the individual will feel youthful and charismatic, being much more outgoing than usual and being reported as much more upbeat until falling asleep. If exposed for over 60 minutes, affected individuals will experience permanent changes in their brain chemistry, allowing for higher dopamine uptake and the complete curing of depression, bipolar disorder, and other similar chemical imbalances in the brain. SCP-4432's effects are directly harmful to subjects with schizophrenia, multiple personality disorder, or early-onset Alzheimer's disorder.

SCP-4432 was recovered from a destroyed home in Fukushima on March 19, 2011. The previous SCP-4432-1 had expired from acute radiation sickness roughly 40 hours before Agents encountered SCP-4432. during this time, SCP-4432 became bonded to Agent Abby Tanaka. Agent Tanaka reported immediately feeling like crying upon bonding with the entity, but could not point out why. After a brief period of extreme sorrow was experienced, A voice spoke to her in her head, "Be cleaned, child. many days are to come."

Following this, Agent Tanaka turned herself into SCP Custody. Immediately following the containment and analysis of Agent Tanaka, she was stripped of her ranking and redesignated SCP-4432-1. On December ██, ████, SCP-4432-1 perished due to a containment breach. The current SCP-4432-1 was a schoolgirl from ████████, Nebraska. Following the expiration of Tanaka, SCP-4432 temporarily bonded to Researcher T█████, asking him to "find someone in need". Researcher T█████, due to the effects of SCP-4432, took this order to heart, driving roughly 6,000 kilometers to reach Agent Tanaka's daughter, Joy Tanaka. Of note, Researcher T█████ had no prior knowledge of Agent Tanka's family or her daughter's clinical depression. Following this incident, Researcher T█████ was found guilty of public endangerment and breach of containment and was subsequently administered amnestics and posted for Class-D duties.

Due to the potential of another relocation event upon the eventual expiration of SCP-4432-1, Head Researcher M████ recommended object reclassification from Safe to Euclid, which is currently pending approval.
