SCP-5730 (1967)
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-5730 is contained in a standard containment chamber. The object is to be observed at all times, and any movements are to be documented. SCP-5730 must remain within or near the center of its chamber at all times.
The opening to SCP-5730's containment chamber is a 18cm thick steel vault, and can only be opened by two Level 4+ personnel simultaneously. Only D-Class are permitted to enter the room. The surrounding area outside of the containment chamber must be inspected daily for any signs of inorganic growths, wear, or physical distortion.
If any operating personnel experience migraines or pinkeye when near SCP-5730, they are to be submitted for examination immediately. Patients displaying abnormally heightened amounts of ear wax are to be admitted from maintaining SCP-5730 for a period of at least 30 days.
Description: SCP-5730 is a hollow mold or cast composed of a material resembling wax. SCP-5730 is predatory, mainly targeting large mammals, including humans. The entity's method of killing and consuming its prey is unknown. After consumption, SCP-5730 will have arranged its body into a lifelike sculpture of said prey's head or face. The entity has been observed travelling via short-range teleportation, but is incapable of teleportation past solid surfaces. SCP-5730's range of travel is limited to the space around it.
Inorganic growths often appear within the vicinity of SCP-5730. These growths, composed mainly of plaster and gray wax, regularly stem from vertical faces. When fully grown, they resemble human hands. These growths, or SCP-5730-1, persistently attempt to free SCP-5730 from its containment chamber, as well as incapacitate any nearby human beings.
SCP-5730 will periodically emit a series of vocalizations, resembling the voice of [REDACTED]. Based on these noises, SCP-5730 is likely in pain.
Discovery: SCP-5730 was discovered in Birmingham, UK after the suicide of Francis G██████ on ██/█/195█. The object had killed and consumed 3 people before its acquisition by MTF Alpha-4. Francis's cadaver was discovered in his apartment Southside. As the conditions of his suicide were of supernatural conditions, his cadaver is currently contained within Site-17.
A note was discovered near Francis's body. It was highly damaged upon recovery, appearing to have been burnt by Francis. The only legible text reads as follows:
Percival. We went too far. They already got the message back in 195█. We went too far.
