Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Keter
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is currently not containable, however 90% of SCP-XXXX-1 instances are located in the pit mine under Site-███, all entrances to the pit mine must be supervised by at least 36 armed guards at one time. Only Class-A and above personnel are allowed to enter the mine. All instances of SCP-XXXX-1, SCP-XXXX-2, or SCP-XXXX-3 outside of this area must be immediately extracted and relocated to Site-██. There is currently no large-scale way of eliminating or destroying SCP-XXXX.
Description: SCP-XXXX-1 is a naturally occurring metallic mineral that automatically generates 100m below sea level 90% percent of the time under anomalous circumstances, and is similar in appearance to tungsten. Living organisms that come into contact (disregarding clothing) with SCP-XXXX-1 will be "contaminated," and designated a carrier, designated SCP-XXXX-3, any metallic or metallic-infused object that the carrier comes into contact with will transform into a copy of SCP-XXXX-1, designated SCP-XXXX-2. SCP-XXXX-2 has incredible adhesive properties, therefore the only way to separate the two objects is through reality bending the objects apart, along with making around 5% of people who contact SCP-XXXX-2 carriers. While unlikely, a UK-class scenario is theortically possible (see Incident-XXXX-1A,) therefore all experiments including SCPs with a higher than Safe Object Class are barred. SCP-XXXX-3 instances are immune to any instances of SCP-XXXX-2 and have decreased health risks and increased lifespans.
SCP-XXXX does not exist in liquid or gas form, and due to it's anomalous properties it is possible to reach impossible temperatures in a solid form, such as negative Kelvin degrees. Once an SCP-XXXX-3 expires through an means, it will turn into a 100% pure sample of SCP-XXXX-1 in whatever position this carrier expired in. Other metallic SCPs are immune to all of SCP-XXXX's properties for an unknown reason.
Incident-XXXX-1A: On the ██th of █████ 19██ in Southern █████ City, ██, a small occurrence of SCP-XXXX-1 appeared on the exterior of a local iron mine. A employee witnessed it and contacted his superior, in which they both became carriers of SCP-XXXX. A cover-up event occurred including small-scale deployment of anmestic across the city, including the death of █ individuals and carriers and destruction of ██ buildings contaminated with SCP-XXXX-2. In response to this incident plainclothes Foundation members are stationed in all major mines throughout the globe.
Incident-XXXX-2A: The second outbreak of SCP-XXXX took place on ██/█/19██ to ██/██/19██ in ███████, Colorado. A young tourist boy touched an instance of SCP-XXXX-1 and became a carrier. A few hours later him and his immediate family returned to the inner city, where many public structures and buildings are infected by the SCP-XXXX-3 instance, such as handrails, cars, benches, and doors. Many civilians died within the first phase of the outbreak, and further civilians became carriers, furthering the transformation of metal in the city. The Foundation soon quarantined the city and sent in MTF Units PSI-7 and Elipson-7 to remove smaller buildings and public service structures, along with deploying amnestics. All citizens of the city were transferred to a nearby Foundation Site, were they were held in a plastic cell and tested for being a carrier. Those who were, or suspected of being one were terminated in mass, after all buildings were destroyed, large-scale amnestics were deployed in the cell and in the surrounding area. All news stories were censored and around ████ civilians died during the outbreak, along with ██ billion dollars of damages.
