Item#:SCP-XXXX

Object Class:Euclid

Special Containment Procedures:SCP-XXXX is contained within a padded box fitted to its exact dimensions which is itself sitting within a lockbox atop a raised pedestal. The walls of the room it’s in are lined floor to ceiling with padded material. The room’s padding’s are replaces every six months to ensure no dry rot has occurred. Access to SCP-XXXX requires Level 4 Clearance. Though safe in its current state, the slightest mistake made while handling SCP-XXXX could result in world changing consequences.

Description:SCP-XXXX is a palm sized glass sphere that appears to contain an active explosion. The glass is cool to the touch, however analysis of SCP-XXXX reveals radiation levels well beyond the liveable range. Prolonged exposure to SCP-XXXX has resulted in radiation poisoning. Further testing of SCP-XXXX reveals its radiation signature is on par with those present after the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Given the nature of where it was recovered, SCP-XXXX has been determined to be housing a nuclear explosion that will be released if ever the glass should break.

Recovery: SCP-XXXX was recovered by Allied Troops during the Battle of Berlin. Found deep within the Nazi’s Science Center, SCP-XXXX appeared to have a whole floor dedicated to itself. Due to the destruction of all pertinent files related to it by the losing Nazis, the exact nature of SCP-XXXX is unknown. Fragments of documents recovered on site indicate that SCP-XXXX could have been anything from a reusable weapon to an accident not meant to happen. Foundation Operatives in Military Command shipped SCP-XXXX to Oakridge Tennessee where it remained for three months. Following the bombings of Japan, SCP-XXXX was transferred to Site 25 where it has remained ever since.
