Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX must be contained within a cell of approx 37 square meters with one door made from steel at least 8 centimeters thick. When transporting or otherwise caring for SCP-XXXX, personnel must be careful not to speak no matter how quietly to avoid it becoming active. As a precaution, any personnel working near SCP-XXXX will be given a noise-suppressing face mask.

Description: SCP-XXXX is a humanoid entity approx 2 meters tall and of average build. It's entire body is covered in a black silk robe reminiscent of a catholic priest's, but with a hood covering it's entire head. Any attempt to look at SCP-XXXX's face has failed, suggesting that the robe and hood are apart of it's body.

SCP-XXXX normally stands completely still, it's head lowered as if staring at the ground. In it's normal state, it's observed to quietly chant what is possibly a prayer in Greek. If a victim speaks or otherwise makes a vocal noise within approx 10 meters of SCP-XXXX, it will immediately fall silent and begin slowly pursuing the victim. It will continue following until it has touched the victim or the victim dies. It seemingly knows the location of the victim at all times. It is unknown at this time how this is possible. Attempts to lock SCP-XXXX out of a room using a standard wooden door have been observed to be ineffective, as it has been shown to be capable of tearing down any non-reinforced surface.

SCP-XXXX has been observed to cease chase of it's victims if it touches the victim's forehead. Victims touched by SCP-XXXX have all reported feeling warmth, a content peacefulness, and a confident knowledge that a "heaven" exists. All victims touched by SCP-XXXX have expressed an extreme desire to go to this "heaven" and have fallen into a deep depressive state as a result of not being there. 97% of victims touched by SCP-XXXX have commited suicide. Any important personnel touched by SCP-XXXX must immediately be placed under suicide watch.

Observation has shown that a subject's depressed state wears off exactly 18,648 hours after the victim is touched. It is currently unknown if SCP-XXXX will pursue any victim a second time after this period.

Victim Interview:

Victim Interviewed: Mark ██████
Interviewed By: Dr. █████

Dr. █████: The date is ███ ██, ████. The time is approximately 1800. The subject is a ██
year old Caucasian male of average weight and height. Approximately one year ago, the
subject encountered SCP-XXXX in ████████, Indiana and made physical contact. Mr. ██████, how are you feeling?

Mark: Hello, doctor. Honestly, I haven't been feeling too great recently.

Dr. █████: Is that so? And why is that?

Mark: It's the same thing it's been for the last year. I don't want to be here anymore. On Earth, I mean.

Dr. █████: And you've felt this way since being touched by SCP-XXXX?

Mark: Yes.

Dr. █████: I know you've told the story to our doctors, but would you mind telling me for the record what exactly happened that night?

Mark: I guess I don't mind. Me and a couple buddies were fucking around ████████ all night. You know, having as much fun as we could surrounded by nothing but cornfields. My friend ████ had just started up his truck again so we could head back to his house and we saw this man standing in the middle of the road. Dude was covered head to toe in this hood and robe getup and he was just staring at the ground mumbling some gibberish. He was creepy, but we all assumed that he was just wasted. I thought that he might need help, so I called out to him to see if he was okay. He just kept standing there mumbling, so I got closer and asked him if he needed a ride. Then he got all quiet for a few seconds and started walking at me. He didn't even look up at me. Just started walking. He was scaring us at that point, so we just hopped in the truck and left. I had ████ drop me off at home cause I was too spooked to keep hanging out.

Dr. █████: How long do you think you were home before it found you?

Mark: I don't know, like five hours? It was about seven in the morning when he started beating my door in. Freaked me the fuck out. Wasn't anything else I could do at that point but defend myself, so I got my gun and went downstairs.

Dr. █████: Did you manage to shoot it?

Mark: I put five bullets in him.

Dr. █████: Was it effected by this?

Mark: It was like he didn't even feel it. He just kept walking at me. He grabbed my face before I even realized that he wasn't dead.

Dr. █████: And what did you feel when he touched you?

Mark: Pure bliss. It was the happiest I've ever felt. It was like I had knowledge I should never have had.

Dr. █████: And what knowledge were you given?

Mark: That Heaven is real. That God is real. That when I die, I will feel as happy as I felt in that moment.

Dr. █████: And this is why you've become suicidal?

Mark: I don't want to live knowing that I won't ever feel as happy as I felt that morning until I die.

Dr. █████: Thank you for your time and your cooperation, Mr. ██████. I believe I have all the information I need. If you would exit out the door you came in from, guards will take you back to your room.

Mark: Before I leave, can I make a request?

Dr. █████: What do you need, Mr. ██████?

Mark: I want to die, doctor. Please kill me.
