An instance of SCP-5224-B.
Item #: SCP-5224
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: Sattelite images that may contain traces of SCP-5224 are to be altered to prevent the public from discovering it. A group of 10-20 D-Class Personell are to be sent to SCP-5224 once every month for testing, with two armed personell accompanying them.
If any aggresive behaviour is targeted towards an instance of SCP-5224-A, armed personell are to prevent other D-Class personell from attacking the instance.
All personell sent to SCP-5224 are to bring a document with questions to ask SCP-5224-C if invited to his office.
Description: SCP-5224 is a large building located in a classified area, that resembles a hotel. The amount of floors located in SCP-5224 are yet unkown, but currently there are over 3000 floors. SCP-5224 is advertised as "The Grand Grave Hotel". SCP-5224 is populated by several instances of SCP-5224-A.
SCP-5224-A are humanoid entities, approximately 213.36 cm in height, and have arms that are 182.88 cm in length. SCP-5224-A wear red and yellow hotel uniforms, with a headband wrapped around their head. They are mostly friendly, and will not attempt to cause any harm to humans. However, if they are provoked, they will will attempt to grab the subject, and take them into another room. SCP-5224-A will then consume the subject, before walking back into the room it came through.
SCP-5224-A instances are rather helpful and cooperative, and will request to take care of any issues the subject could potentially have. They have shown to have a decent amount of knowledge involving SCP-5224, and for this reason, are interviewed by the D-Class that were not invited to SCP-5224-C's office. However, they share significantly less information about SCP-5224 with personell than
SCP-5224-C.
Once entering SCP-5224, SCP-5224-A instances will assign personell to an instance of SCP-5224-B. SCP-5224-B is the designation given to the rooms within SCP-5224. They take on the appearence of an average hotel room. SCP-5224-B do not demonstrate any paranormal properties, outside its supposed "luck" based treatment. Depending on the number designated to an instance, the treatment of those who reside within SCP-5224-B. The treatment is supposedly based on beliefs on lucky and unlucky numbers, such as the number 7 and number 13. If the designation is 7, the subject that resides within will be extraordinarly well, without any payment. However, if the designation is 13, the subject will be treated very poorly, and will be forced to pay with objects and even entities that are very important to the subject.
Over a period of two weeks, the subjects will stay at SCP-5224, and will be served in the cafeteria three times a day. On the final day of the last week, one subject will be invited to SCP-5224-C's office. The subject who gets invited to SCP-5224-C's office is seemingly random. SCP-5224-C is a humanoid entity, approximatly 154.94 cm in height, and has pale skin with a slightly blue hue. A series of bandages are wrapped around the head of SCP-5224-C, with only the mouth being exposed. SCP-5224-C shows no sign of hostility, and act quite friendly to the subject invited to SCP-5224-C's office. SCP-5224-C will allow the subject to ask them any question for a period of 5-10 minutes. SCP-5224-C knows a lot about SCP-5224 and its origins. For this reason, SCP-5224-C is to asked a series of question, in hopes of learning more about SCP-5224.
See below for interviews with SCP-5224-C.
Interviewed: SCP-5224-C
Interviewer: D-3193
Foreword: D-3193, Female, Age 25.
D-3193 was designated to room 5000, and had decent treatment.
<Begin Log, ██/██/████>
D-3193: [Peeks into the office of SCP-5224-C]
SCP-5224-C: Ah, greetings! You must be "D-3193", correct?
D-3193: Uh, yeah, that's me. [Walks into the office]
SCP-5224-C: Quite a strange name, but I'm not one to judge. Go on, take a seat.
D-3193: Well, it's not my real name, it's more of a "nickname", I guess.
SCP-5224-C: I see. Well then, I suppose you'd like to ask me a few questions?
D-3193: O-oh, yeah, I do! [D-3193 shuffles through the documements] Uh.. there we go! So, first question: What's your name?
SCP-5224-C: Ah yes, a great question to start things off! My name is Phillips Harold Gravely.
D-3193: Ok, ok, [D-3193 writes down on the documents.] next question, How long has SCP-5224 been here?
SCP-5224-C: What's that?
D-3193: It's the hotel.
SCP-5224-C: Oh! Why, of course! The hotel just had its 200th anniversary today, actually!
D-3193: Oh. Well, next question I guess. Do you know anything about the paranormal properties within SCP-522-[D-3193 stops herself.] Sorry, the rooms. I meant the rooms.
SCP-5224-C: Paranormal properties you say? Well, there is the whole "payment" process, But, I wouldn't really consider it paranormal.
D-3193: Right, let me see if there's any other questions… [D-3193 shuffles through the documents.] Uh… just a second… Ah, Here's one! Why do the staff here look so… strange?
SCP-5224-C: [SCP-5224-C laughs.] Oh, my dear friend, what a stupid question! And quite rude too! I mean, come on, the staff here work so hard to give you the experience of a life time, and you insult their appearence? How offensive.
D-3193: Yeah, alright. Well, that's all the questions I have for you.
SCP-5224-C: It was a pleasure talking to you, D-3193, it truly was! I hope to see you soon!

Closing Statement: Not much information has been learned about SCP-5224. However, the name of SCP-5224-C is revealed to be Phillips Gravely, and SCP-5224 is believed to be atleast 200 years old. SCP-5224-C appears to be friendly, and did not act hostile in any way.
Interviewed: SCP-5224-C
Interviewer: D-2031
Foreword: D-2031, Male, Age 18.
D-2031 was designated to room 130, and had awful treatment.
<Begin Log, ██/██/████>
D-2031: [D-2031 aggresively walks into the office of SCP-5224-C] Let's just get this shit over with.
SCP-5224-C: Sir, please calm down.
D-2031: [D-2031 slams the documents onto the desk.] And why the fuck should I calm down!? The treatment here was fucking awful! The bedroom was filled to the brim with cockroaches! COCKROACHES!
SCP-5224-C: I'm so sorry if you felt the treatment was poor, but please calm down.
D-2031: Alright. Well, I got some questions. Question 1: Why was SCP-5224 constructed in the middle of nowhere?
SCP-5224-C: Well… I… Sorry, it's been such a long time, I can't remember much… I only remember that it was originally built somwhere in… Texas, I believe? Pardon me, it's been so long.
D-2031: Yeah, yeah, whatever. Question 2: Why are the people designated to an instance of SCP-5224-B with an unlucky number treated so poorly?
SCP-5224-C: Well, the staff here are quite… strange, I suppose. They have this moral in which if someone is designated to an unlucky number, they're wrongens. I don't know where they got that moral from, but I'll see if I can get them to treat those in unlucky rooms better.
D-2031: Good. Now, another question: Do you know anything about why the staff consume humans?
SCP-5224-C: Why, they're hungry, of course.
D-2031: Yeah, that makes sense, but they eat humans. Humans.
SCP-5224-C: Well, now that you point it out, it is quite strange. I'm sure they have a good reason for it, though.
D-2031: [D-2031 mumbles to himself "Jesus Christ." and writes down on the documents.] Only a few more questions left. Question 4: Why hasn't SCP-5224 place been shut down for health hazards?
SCP-5224-C: [SCP-5224-C chuckles nervously.] W-why do you ask?
D-2031: Because It's written down here. Besides, I'm still angry about the cockroaches.
SCP-5224-C: W-well, that's… Classified.
D-2031: Riiiiiigghht. Anyways, final question. What's with the corpses in the basement?
SCP-5224-C: Uh… [SCP-5224-C looks down at it's watch.] Wow, would you look at that! Time's up! You can leave now! [SCP-5224-C pushes D-2031 out of it's office.] Safe Travels!
<End Log>
Closing Statement: Again, not much information has been learned about SCP-5224. SCP-5224-C has revealed that SCP-5224 has potentially been constructed in Texas, as for how it has changed its location is unkown. SCP-5224-A instances have revealed to believe in a strange moral, which leads them to treat certain subjects poorly. However, SCP-5224-C does not appear to be aware as of why SCP-5224-A instances consumes humans. SCP-5224-C appeared reluctant to ask about certain topics involving SCP-5224, such as a series of corpses discovered in the lower floor of SCP-5224(see addendum below).
A series of Interviews with SCP-5224-A instances have also been conducted, see below.
Interviewed: SCP-5224-A-alpha
Interviewer: D-1929
Foreword: D-1929, Male, Age 31.
D-2031 was designated to room 7, and had greatl treatment.
<Begin Log, ██/██/████>
D-1929: [D-1929 approaches an intance of SCP-5224-A(hereby refferred to as
SCP-5224-A-alpha).]
SCP-5224-A-alpha: Greetings, D-1929, I hope your treatment has been delightful.
D-1929: Yeah, it's been pretty good actually. But, I got some questions for you, so I'd like if you could maybe answer some of them?
SCP-5224-A-alpha: Of course.
D-1929: Alright, so, uh, first question: Why do you consume people if they disobey?
SCP-5224-A-alpha: Quite simple, my friend, they have disobeyed. But, if you're wondering why we consume them, it's because we don't get much nutrients, and you humans tend to be quite… nutricous. I hope that doesn't make you uncomfortable.
D-1929: Nah, it's fine. Next question, why do you have blindfolds covering your eyes?
SCP-5224-A-alpha: [SCP-5224-A-alpha chuckles slightly.] Oh, my dear friend, I would tell you, but that information is classified.
D-1929: Yeah, expected that. Anyways, another question: Has SCP-5224 ever been attempted to be shut down due to health hazards?
SCP-5224-A-alpha: Yes, attempts have been made. However, none of them have succeeded.
D-1929: I'm guessing it has something to do with the staff, right?
SCP-5224-A-alpha: Oh, heavens no, we don't deal with those things. Mr Gravely deals with those.
D-1929: Did the health inspectors ever leave?
SCP-5224-A-alpha: [SCP-5224-A-alpha chuckles.] Y'know, certain doors are best kept closed.
<End Log>
Closing Statement: SCP-5224-A-alpha did not reveal much information, altough it revealed rather interesting information. SCP-5224-A instances supposedly consume humans for nutrients, which could potentially mean SCP-5224-A instances don't consume normal food. SCP-5224-A-alpha has also indirectly revealed that SCP-5224-C has supposedly killed health inspector, which could potentially explain its former reluctance in an interview(see document above).
Interviewed: SCP-5224-A-beta
Interviewer: D-6236
Foreword: D-6236, Male, Age 34.
D-6236 was designated to room 100 000, and had average treatment.
<Begin Log, ██/██/████>
D-6236: [D-6236 approaches SCP-5224-A-beta.] Hey, you, I'd like to ask some questions.
SCP-5224-A-beta: [SCP-5224-A-beta turns towards D-6236.] Oh? Well, be my guest.
D-6236: Alright, so let's just get this out of the way, what's with the corpses in the basement?
SCP-5224-A-beta: [SCP-5224-A-beta approaches D-6236.] How do you know about that?
D-6236: I was told about them by the people who brought me here. What about it?
SCP-5224-A-beta: Ugh. Can we go on to another question instead?
D-6236: Oh no, buddy, you're gonna tell me about those corpses. Go on, spit it out.
SCP-5224-A-beta: Listen, D-6236, That is classified information, and if you do not move on to another question, I might just have to take action
D-6236: Alright, alright, geez. How many floors are there in the building?
SCP-5224-A-beta: Ah, there we go, a much better question! Well, I'm not entirely sure, but I'm confident there are atleast 2000 floors.
D-6236: Huh. Neat. Next question:
SCP-5224-A-beta:

Addendum:
An investigation of SCP-5224 was conducted, after suspicous behaviour by SCP-5224-A instances was reported by several D-Class Personell. An investigation team, consisting of 2 MTF agents(Agent-1 and Agent-2) and one D-Class(D-3852).
D-3852 sat at the cafeteria, and waited until an instance of SCP-5224-A was spotted to be moving a trolley with sheets. D-3852 signalled to the agents before attempting to get the attention of the SCP-5224-A instance. Meanwhile, the Agents attempted to hide beneath the sheets. After approximately 2 minutes, D-3852 ended its conversation with the SCP-5224-A instance. The instance continued to move the trolley and went into an elevator. Not long after, the SCP-5224-A instance dropped the sheets off and left the room. The Agents then left the sheets. Agent-1 turned on her headlight and began walking through the lower floor of SCP-5224.
Approximately 26 minutes later, Agent-2 reported seeing a strange differ in color between the walls of the room and a rectangular shape on the wall. Inspection of the shape revealed that it was lose. Agent-2 attempted to push the shape, revealing a hidden room. The room was mostly empty, with the exception of a pile of carcasses in the middle of the room. Agent-1 took a photograph, and suggested the agents left. Soon after, an instance of SCP-5224-A attempted to grab Agent-1. Agent-2 fired at the instance, and the instance was terminated. Agent-2 suggested they took an alternate path out of the lower floor. The Agents decided to walk up the stair rather than taking the elevator. The agents went unnoticed by other SCP-5224-A instances, and walked out of SCP-5224.
Closing Statement: SCP-5224 appears to have a series of corpses in its lower floor. The reason as to why the corpses are located within SCP-5224 is currently unkown.
A collection of SCP-5224-A instances have been contained by the foundation, and a series of tests are being conducted on them.
SCP-5224 is currently classified as Safe, due to its isolation from population.
