Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4168 is to be kept inside a 12x12x12 meter chamber at all times. guarded by no more that 1 personnel. only level 2 and above security clearance are allowed to experiment. 5 high voltage capacitors and a gas chamber are to be stored below the chamber with easy access to level 2 clearance. the capacitors store SCP-4168-1 and the gas chambers store SCP-4168-2
Description: SCP-4168 is a 2m cube made of a material unknown. it is a dark yet slightly luminescent shade of blue and a seeming shifting of luminescence of yellow. it has ancient marking near the corners.
SCP-4168-1 and SCP-4168-2 has an anomaly similar to SCP-914. when anything gets within 2 meters generates an unknown type of electricity classified as SCP-4168-1. it is very difficult to tell how much it generates because it is seemingly random amount. ranging from 1W to 13MW. if there is no object in the direct vicinity of 2m it will discharge into the air creating a luminescent yellow gas classified ad SCP-4168-2 at a rate that is also random(see incident log-2b-a).
SCP-4168-1 and SCP-4168-2 have opposite effects. while SCP-4168-1 is electricity stored in high voltage capacitors and SCP-4168-2 is stored in gas chambers ready for distribution. SCP-4168-1 will charge into anything that the output touches. whatever it touches will be classified as SCP-4168-1-a.
SCP-4168-1-a will begin a twelve hour process that will transfigure what ever SCP-4168-1 is in. and depending on how much of it there is, the better the transformation. it will always be a good transformation and can even help with on site situations. liquids are interesting to use because the transformation is instantaneous and can be transferred from said liquid to anything it touches.(see addendum)
SCP-4168-2 will do the very opposite, it will start a process that varies depending on how long said object is exposed to SCP-4168-2. object will seem to lose mass during this process but further testing has proven that this is not true. but rather is changing complexity or material.(see addendum)
Addendum:
__Test A - Date██████
Subject: one bucket of water.
Procedure: one bucket of water is placed into a chamber with SCP-4168-1 inside.
Results: results were instant. the water immediately started developing a sky blue sheen to it. after 5 minuets of exposure the output was turned off and the bucket was brought back inside. further testing has shown that water now turns anything it touches into a steel like substance while still keeping the original features.
Analysis: the water is now very usefull. we put some on a pane of glass and shot 34 50cal bullets into it before it shattered. any material we coat in this material is now immune to SCP-4168-2 and are now calling it "steel water"

Subject: one revolver
Procedure: one colt python is to be inside a room coated in steel water. and room is to be filled with SCP-4026-2.
Results: after 12 hours of exposure room is cleared and colt python is now seen as a plastic water gun.
Analysis: it seems that the gas will transform any object into less and less complex objects the longer exposed without changing the appearance.
INCIDENT LOG
incident log 2b-a
SCP-4168 was suspended in air via magnetic levitation. SCP-4168 began releasing SCP-4168-2 at a rate too fast to contain and started leaking into halways and other rooms. imediate evacuation in the area was required until gas was dispersed. staff were checked to make sure they weren't exposed. Dr.█████ was found to be exposed and is now being monitored. he may be realeased in 3 weeks if no signs of change are shown.
