Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX-A itself must be contained inside any metal container large enough for it. SCP-XXXX-B do not require any sort of special containment either as they do not show signs of decomposition.

Personnel should harvest the new batch of SCP-XXXX-B after every 30 days. It must be made sure that no foreign item is placed inside SCP-XXXX-A during this time. Personnel should not experiment with or touch SCP-XXXX-B instances without puncture proof gloves and safety goggles. In the case of skin contact with the tip SCP-XXXX-B instances, the area exposed must be washed with water and alcohol to try and prevent SCP-XXXX-B from getting into the bloodstream.

Subjects in

Description: SCP-XXXX-A is an ammunition can made out of hard plastic measuring 80 x 30 x 60 centimeters in size, weighing 800 grams. Analysis of the hard plastic showed no abnormal properties. Unlike normal ammunition cans, no information about the type of ammunition is written on its surface. SCP-XXXX-A stores 30 instances of SCP-XXXX-B. After all of the SCP-XXXX-B instances are removed, SCP-XXXX-A will enter its creation stage. During this stage, the cap of the can will close and cannot be opened. The object will increase its temperature to 40 degrees celsius during this process. X-Ray scans to observe what happens inside during SCP-XXXX-A's creation stage proved unsuccessful. SCP-XXXX-A will open its cap again 30 days after the last SCP-XXXX-B instance is taken out, this time with 30 new instances.

SCP-XXXX-B are .50 caliber tranqualizer darts made out of metal. Each dart is 4 centimeters in length. The darts contain an odorless and colourless liquid inside of them. Microscopic research found out that the liquid inside SCP-XXXX-B is randomized each month, containing the genetic material of an organism bonded to a yet unclassified type of compound. This liquid, when injected into the bloodstream, will start a transformation process of the subject's body.

This transformation process can be described as:

Day 1: Subject don't show any symptoms.

Days 2-3: Subject's limbs will begin morphing into the limbs of the organism they were injected with. Subjects describe this process as painless.

Days 4-7: This stage only occurs in 20% of the tagged subjects, during it the subject's heads will morph into the organism they were injected with.

The limbs and the head grow in proportion to the subject's body, the subjects also gain abilities the limbs and the head would grant to the original animal. Subjects that morphed their heads display no loss of intelligence, although their brains morph as well.

Experiment XXXX-1: Five D-Class were administered the genetic code of Polypedates leucomystax through SCP-XXXX-B. Four of the five developed its limbs. The four subjects could climb on walls and jump to a height of 76 meters on average. The fifth D-Class developed a head and displayed an appetite for various species of insects.

Experiment XXXX-2: Three D-Class were administered with the genetic code of Oncorhynchus mykiss. None of the three developed a head, however, they lost the ability to walk on land. Their fins allowed them to swim at a speed of approximately 18 miles per hour.

Experiment XXXX-3: After SCP-XXXX-A delivered a batch of SCP-XXXX-B filled with the genetic code of SCP-939, one D-Class was administered a dose. The subject developed limbs and a head. The subject lost his sense of vision but gained the ability of wall climbing, advanced echolocation and the mimicking of voices. Subject was terminated after attempting to bite a guard.

Addendum: After the incident, all personnel experimenting with SCP-XXXX-B are to have three armed guards guarding them at all times.
