Item #: SCP-4390
Object Class: Safe
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4390 is to be contained in a cell. The walls and floor are to be made out of memory foam so it doesn't get hurt while playing. There should be a catscratch play set that runs along the room wall accessible by bouncing. The catscratch playset can start on any wall which then goes upwards and sprawls across the roof, and ending at the wall across from start. The lights must be panels with 25 watt bulbs, preferably 5 per panel. The placement of the light panels does not matter as long as the room is well lit. The cat scratch play set must be well lit inside with 15 watt light posts. The cell and cat scratch play set should have high definition audio and visual cameras so SCP-4390 is visible wherever it is in its cell. There must be an SCP foundation member watching SCP-4390 at all times. The door should be tall enough to where the personnel assigned to feeding SCP-4390 and washing its bowl can fit through comfortably. If the person assigned to the tasks gets taller than the door, the person must be reassigned from these tasks and a new person will take their place. The door should be placed anywhere on the walls of SCP-4390's containment cell. SCP-4390 must be fed regularly and must have a food bowl inside its cell always. The food bowl must be washed once per week on Wednesday at 7:25 A.M. and returned to the cell at 7:31 A.M. SCP-4390's diet is corn starch, wheat, sunflower seeds, and soft tortillas. SCP-4390 does not drink. DO NOT EAT BREAD CAT.
Description: SCP-4390 is a white bread loaf which is approximately 1.524 meters long, 1.0668 feet tall, and 0.1143 meters wide. SCP-4390 (for unknown reasons) emits memetic waves that converts any other living entity into seeing SCP-4390 as a bread-cat hybrid. No SCP Foundation personnel has been able to see SCP-4390 as a normal loaf so the further descriptions listed are what SCP-4390 looks like when it is seen as a bread-cat hybrid. The front of SCP-4390 looks like a normal bread loaf front except it has a small cat catlike mouth, 3 whiskers on the right and 3 on the left of its mouth, no nose, two black dots for eyes, and two ears protruding from the top of SCP-4390's face. SCP-4390's ears are 6 inches tall and its whiskers are only 0.0762 meters long. The back of SCP-4390 looks like a normal bread loaf back except it has a tail that is precisely 0.2286 meterslong. SCP-4390 has bread crust on it's sides, top, and bottom. When SCP-4390 opens its mouth it looks like a normal cat mouth. SCP-4390's mouth has two fangs and one tongue. SCP-4390 can hop around but it has no feet, hands, arms, legs, or paws. SCP-4390 weighs only 8 ounces. SCP-4390 can bounce up to 29.7 miles per hour. SCP-4390 has been known to slide across the ground really fast so it can imitate the bread-cat hybrid bouncing. SCP-4930 has also been known to be able to stick to walls so it can imitate the bread-cat hybrid going upwards and downwards. SCP-4390 when it wants to can speak in a high-pitched voice to specific SCP Foundation personnel through telepathic waves. SCP-4390 uses its voice to tell personnel that it's hungry. Some of SCP-4390’s actions has proved itself very intelligent.
The further behavior description is how SCP-4390 acts when it is seen as a bread-cat hybrid. SCP-4390 will take a nap when it is tired. SCP-4390 can make a very loud meow that can be heard from 25 miles away when it is lonely. SCP-4390 does not always meow this loud so its meow does not always pursue the effects as described. SCP-4390's meow will attract any human that hears it to its location. You can tell when a personnel is being attracted by SCP-4390's meow by the personnel's eyes, if the personnel is being attracted by SCP-4390's meow his/her eyes will look like cat eyes with a mix of common cat eye colors in the iris of both eyes. If any personnel attracted by SCP-4390's meow lets SCP-4390 out of its cell the site is to be put on a lockdown and SCP-4390 is to be found and contained. Occasionally some personnel who have been mesmerized by SCP-4390’s meow have been diagnosed with a mild yeast infection.
Addendums /2/26/19/: A personnel reported that when SCP-4390 telepathically spoke to them instead of pestering the personnel for food it requested to be let out of the cell and be put by the closest bread loaf and left by itself and the bread loaf. With this information it is theorized that there are more SCP-4390s out there in the world and SCP-4390 is trying to make more. These other SCP-4390s will be referred to as SCP-4390-1s.
Addendums /2/26/19/-2: Another personnel today reported that instead of SCP-4390 pestering them for food it said that cats are not the only thing its kind can imitate and that it can change the type of animal it imitates, but it wants to stay the way it is. This shows that SCP-4390 indefinitely has more of its kind out in the world and that there are more bread-animal hybrids than just a cat. It is now theorized that the rest of its kind is not assigned to any specific habitat ergo the reason that it can change its animal type so it can go to any habitat that is suitable to what it wants.
