Item #: SCP-XXXX
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: N/A
Description: SCP-XXXX is a humanoid creature measuring approximately 2 m in height. Its fingers are disproportionally long and measure approximately 27 cm, but otherwise, its limbs are relatively proportionate to its body. Skin pigmentation is similar to that of bruising, with thin patches of grey hair growing from its armpits, stomach, and top of the head. Discernable facial features consist of multiple 11 cm slits in a seemingly randomized pattern, depicting that of a slashed face. SCP-XXXX also has a 14 cm x 8.5 cm x 12 cm hole to the left of its chest, containing an exposed human heart. The heart is connected to the inner edges of the hole by several veins and arteries.
SCP-XXXX is normally docile if left undisturbed. Even in moments of excessive abuse, it will remain unphased unless its heart is the direct target. Any attempts to touch or tamper with its heart results in [REDACTED]. SCP-XXXX has shown to demonstrate extreme strength, agility, and speeds reaching up to 95 mph despite its primarily docile nature. SCP-XXXX does not seem to display any higher levels of intelligence. See Addendum XXXX-2.
SCP-XXXX emits vibrational frequencies ranging from 7 Hz to 698Hz, with a baseline frequency of 250 Hz. Frequencies seem to reflect its behavior. Higher frequencies indicate more docile temperament while lower ones indicate unease and hostility. If frequency falls below 150 Hz, vacate the premises immediately. See Experiment Log ██. With SCP-XXXX's lack of eyes, it is assumed that these frequencies are used as a form of echolocation to ‘see.’

[5/29/20██]
Addendum XXXX-2: SCP-XXXX was previously thought to lack a form of higher intelligence, however recent events indicate an affinity for emotional attachment. As per the request of Dr. Ma███, limited use of D-Class personnel for research of SCP-XXXX was authorized on 5/4/20██. As of 5/11/20██, SCP-XXXX has emitted higher frequencies in the presence of 1 D-Class personnel [D-229-5]. There have been no signs of elevated frequency in the presence of other test subjects. Experiments were conducted to determine the effects of attachment on SCP-XXXX's behavior. View at Experimental Logs XXXX-1-2-3-4 [insert link later].

Preface: SCP-XXXX had previously been assumed to lack a form of higher intelligence. As of 5/11/20██, we now have reason to believe that SCP-XXXX has the mental capacity to become emotionally attached to a human figure. Experiments were conducted to analyze the extent of these emotional attachments and how they affect its behavior. Such findings may help predict future actions and prevent potential containment breach.
Experimental Log XXXX-1
Date: [5/18/20██]
Subject: SCP-XXXX
Procedure: D-229-5 was ordered to stand 15 ft away from SCP-XXXX. Every 2 minutes, subject stepped 3 ft closer to SCP-XXXX. Once 3 ft away, subject was to reestablish a 15 ft distance.
Results: At 15 ft, SCP-XXXX emitted a frequency of 262 Hz. The subsequent values will reflect SCP-XXXX's frequency levels every 3 ft decrease in distance, with the last value representing the previous distance of 15 ft: 262 Hz, 262 Hz, 271 Hz, 298 Hz, 255 Hz.
Analysis: As the distance between SCP-XXXX and subject decreased, SCP-XXXX seemed to show an increasing interest in subject. Interest declined once a far enough distance was reestablished, mimicking disinterest on the end of the subject.
Experimental Log XXXX-2
Date: [5/22/20██]
Subject: SCP-XXXX
Procedure: D-229-5 was ordered to circle SCP-XXXX and observe its features, whilst simultaneously verbalizing said observations.
Results: Subject began circling SCP-XXXX and verbalized its features, some of which included its skin color, exposed heart, abnormal height, and finger length. This went on for approximately 6 minutes. SCP-XXXX began to emit a frequency of 90 Hz, indicating hostility. Test was suspended and subject was immediately evacuated from the containment cell.
Analysis: Analytics from cymatic team suggest that SCP-XXXX was merely trying to mimic the vibrational frequencies that D-229-5 was naturally emitting. This may have been its version of observing the subject. Implications indicate that low frequencies may not always represent hostility from SCP-XXXX, though this is likely the case with attachment figures only.
Notes: Despite humans’ naturally low frequencies, which are normally considered hostile when emitted from SCP-XXXX in the absence of an attachment figure, SCP-XXXX does not seem to perceive us as a threat. We’re unsure if this is a source of comfort or concern. -Dr. Ma███
Experimental Log XXXX-3
Date: [5/27/20██]
Subject: SCP-XXXX
Procedure: D-229-5 was placed into the containment cell with 3 other D-Class personnel. After 5 minutes, all D-Class personnel other than D-229-5 were evacuated. After an additional 5 minutes, D-229-5 was evacuated.
Results: SCP-XXXX's frequency levels elevated from 232 Hz to 280 Hz in the presence of all 4 subjects. When the other subjects left and D-229-5 remained, frequency levels further elevated to 295 Hz. As subject was leaving, SCP-XXXX attempted to follow him outside of containment. Subject was quickly evacuated before it could do so. SCP-XXXX emitted a frequency of 71 Hz for approximately 7 minutes before returning to docile state.
Analysis: Analytics from cymatic team indicate SCP-XXXX was emitting the same frequency D-229-5 was emitting when present in the room. Actions suggest that SCP-XXXX may have been attempting to 'call' the subject back to its location by imitating his frequency. Use of low frequencies further supports notions mentioned in the previous analysis.
Experimental Log XXXX-4
Date: 5/31/20██
Subject: SCP-XXXX
Procedure: D-229-5 was ordered to walk around the containment perimeter three times. Following this action, he was to stand in front of SCP-XXXX and wave his arms, then jump up and down repeatedly.
Results: SCP-XXXX's frequency level rose from 288 Hz to 335 Hz as the subject walked around the perimeter. Near the start of subject's second lap, SCP-XXXX followed him around the perimeter until he was finished. Subject proceeded to stand in front of SCP-XXXX and wave his arms in a slow flapping motion. SCP-XXXX did not copy subject's movements. Subject proceeded to jump up and down repeatedly. SCP-XXXX did not copy subject's movements. However, it remained at an elevated frequency level of 310 Hz as subject completed these actions.
Notes: D-229-5 additionally sung “Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)” by Eurythmics without prompting. After singing the chorus once, SCP-XXXX attempted to match the frequencies of the corresponding notes. Frequency levels reached 698 Hz, the highest recorded in SCP-XXXX. Test was suspended and D-229-5 was removed from the cell. Disciplinary measures for D-229-5 were administered for rogue behavior.
Analysis: SCP-XXXX seems to express a strong interest in subject activities. It is unclear whether or not it understands such activities, but derives enjoyment out of them nonetheless.**
Experimental Log XXXX-5
Date: 6/4/20██
Subject: SCP-XXXX
Procedure: D-2295 was ordered to sing or hum a series of songs of his choice. After 10 minutes, he was then ordered to touch SCP-XXXX's heart.
Results: SCP-XXXX's attempted to match the frequency levels of the notes sung by subject for the duration of the 10 minutes. When subject attempted to touch SCP-XXXX's heart, its frequency levels dropped from 286 Hz to 112 Hz. It grabbed D-229-5 with both hands and [REDACTED], resulting in his death. Post mortem, SCP-XXXX's frequency levels remained below 52 Hz for █ days and ██ hours.**
Analysis: Whether this extended period of low frequency was indicative of lasting hostility or potential signs of grief remains unclear. Regardless, SCP-XXXX's actions indicate that no matter how strong the attachment is, it will [REDACTED] if attempts to touch its heart are made.
Notes: Attempt to reestablish emotional attachment with SCP-XXXX using another D-Class personnel. Consider testing SCP-XXXX’s behavior when attachment figure is threatened. Verification pending.
