Description: SCP-5930 is what appears to be an abandoned Japanese shrine with architecture similar to the Edo Period architecture. It is located in the city of ██████ on the island of Hokkaido, northern Japan. The shrine's exterior is mostly made of woods that have brittle over the many centuries it stands inside the forest. There are no windows visible from the outside, and the only way of enter the shrine is by the front door.

Despite the area experiencing frequent earthquakes, the shrine stood there seemingly untouched. The shrine is located deep within a sub-tropical forest on the foot of Mt.█████ (██). It is surrounded by tamagaki (玉垣), a fence meant to protect the shrine with a Torii (鳥居) gate acting as the front gate. A dirt path seems to lead to the shrine from the nearest road, but the locals doesn't seem to remember that there is a shrine built inside the forest.

Inside SCP-5930 contains 7 rooms designated SCP-5930-1 up to SCP-5930-7, with 6 doors each teleporting to different Japanese period from the Edo period, up to the current Reiwa Period. The contain of the 7th room is yet to be known. Even though it appears similar to old wooden door that would open easily, all attempt at opening the last door have so far failed. It is believed that the contains of the 7th room is the Honden room.

Note: Honden (本殿) is a room intended purely for the use of the enshrined kami (神).

Incident 5930-1: SCP-5930 was first discovered by the foundation in ██/██/1994 because of reports by locals that had found a man that is dressed in Edo Period clothing wandering near the forest. When asked, the man said that he was indeed from the Edo Period and came through a shrine inside the forest.

The foundation soon was notified and took the man under protection and secured a 2 km perimeter surrounding the shrine. Prior to the event, the locals were given class-B amnestic to prevent more from knowing about the discovery of SCP-5930's existence. This would soon be known as the incident 5930-1

The man identify himself as Takashi Ono (小野 高橋), a samurai (侍) on a task delivering a message to the north side of Ezochi (Hokkaido island was known as "Ezochi" until the Meiji restoration period). The foundation had to sent Dr. Glenn Toshiro to Hokkaido on the task to further interrogate Takashi Ono.

Interviewer: Dr. Glenn Toshiro
Interviewee: Takashi Ono

[BEGIN LOG]

Dr. Glenn:(In Japanese) Good day Ono-san, my name is Dr. Glenn Toshiro. I am with the SCP Foundation that is currently taking care of you.

Takashi Ono:(In Japanese) Where am I? How did I get into this weird place?!

Takashi Ono appears to be a bit frightened

Dr. Glenn:(In Japanese) Do not worry Ono-san, the foundation will release you back to your designated time period, we just need to ask a few question. Is that okay with you?

Takashi Ono:(In Japanese) Are you going to torture me?

Dr. Glenn:(In Japanese) We are not planning on doing that to you Ono-san, so rest assured.

Takashi can be seen becoming less stressed

Dr. Glenn:(In Japanese) Alright, let's start. First off, do you remember how you got here?

Takashi Ono:(In Japanese) I- I was tasked to deliver a message from the mainland to the northern side of Ezochi, in the middle of my journey I stumbled across this shrine that I have never heard. It was still new, everything looks pretty, when I entered I suddenly got teleported in the first room on the left. When I got out, I was very confused on why the shrine looks like it has been abandoned. I was trying to find my horse when I stumbled across a village with weird shaped hut. The villagers, they wear weird clothes and they ride these weird iron horse.

Dr. Glenn:(In Japanese) I see, do you remember feeling any pain after or before teleporting?

Takashi Ono:(In Japanese) I… I remembered feeling a strong headache after I left the front door. I thought I was going to die..

Takashi starts to scratch the back of his head

Dr. Glenn:(In Japanese) Does it still hurts?

Takashi Ono:(In Japanese) ..No… soon after I met the villagers, my pain has resided.

Dr. Glenn:(In Japanese) Hmm, alright. That will conclude our interrogation for now, (In english) guards, please give Mr. Ono class-B amnestic, and order a D-Class to bring Mr. Ono inside SCP-5930-1!

Takashi Ono:(In Japanese) Wait! I don't understand what you said, stop! Don't-

At this moment, Takashi Ono has been subdued by the guards inside the interrogation room

A D-Class dressed up in Edo Period clothing was ordered to bring Takashi Ono inside SCP-5930-1. Soon after the event, history was slightly altered. This has become apparent when a history regarding a two hundred year old samurai travelling Ezochi is taught in kids history books. Apparently, Takashi Ono was teleported around two hundred year ahead from the year he originally entered SCP-5930.

SCP-5930 was soon re-classified as Keter class after this event.

Addendum-3: Note by Dr. Glenn Toshiro

Note to the whole security surrounding SCP-5930: Any other person exiting from SCP-5930 must be immediately detained and given class-B amnestic and debriefing in order for the history to stay as it is. O5-██ and I have decided that returning every person that exited is too risky and may cause a change in history entirely.
