SCP-5609 is a doll that is the size of a small child (about 3-4 feet in height), seemingly made of pure led. It wears a red knee-length dress, a pair of button-up white shoes, and a blue ribbon in its white curly hair. It has no face, but has been observed to 'cry' whenever sombody has died within 3 feet of wherever it is located. It has been known to get up and walk around with no difficulty, despite being made of led. It has been known to attack young girls wearing blue ribbons, and 'crying' right after they've been killed.
Any personnel who come in direct or indirect contact with SCP-5609 will have their skin to begin melt off, their lungs fail, and their eardrums shattered. As a result, all personnel who come in contact with it must have any and all clothes destroyed after contact.
SCP-5609 is to be kept in a 4 by 2 by 2 box within site-[REDACTED] and constantly monitored, as it has made 2 low-level escape attempts post-recovery
SCP-5609 was recovered from a museum in [REDACTED] on [REDACTED]. The museum's roof had collapsed on its exhibit, and a group of young girls from [REDACTED] school was there the same day. The doll saw the girls and proceeded to [DATA EXPUNGED] all but four of the girls and the teacher accompanying the group of twenty. Amnetics were given to the girls, the teacher, the families and friends of the deceased girls, and any witnesses of the event
SCP-5609 is seemingly industructable, and has no effect on animals, or SCP-053.
