Item #: SCP-XXXX

Object Class: Euclid

Special Containment Procedures: The species of SCP-XXXX is to be kept in a 30,000 gallon freshwater aquarium mimicking the ecosystem of a central European lake. The aquarium is ensured to be stocked with algae and protozoa native to the ecosystem. Testing involving direct physical contact with the species should be limited to eliminate the risk of cognitohazard (see addendum-x). Due to the lack of natural predators the spawn of the species are to be eliminated unless there is a risk of extinction in which the species will be allowed to spawn at their normal rate until sustainable levels are reached. Any civilian reports of the species are to be investigated and any specimens are to be contained under the guise of a conservation project.

Description: SCP-XXXX is native to ███████ ████ and is a amphibious member of the Gastropoda family. The species goes through three stages of development with the final stage being where the species spends a majority of its life cycle.

The species starts its life cycle as gelatinous eggs produced by sexual reproduction of two fully matured specimens which results in a clutch of 25-30 eggs that are laid underwater under rocks, inside crevices, or inside of various flora. Shortly after being laid the eggs will begin to secrete a viscous substance that causes intense paranoia, anxiety, and in severe cases acute psychosis (see addendum-x) to any organism exposed. After a incubation period of 10-15 days the eggs hatch leading to the next stage of the species life.

The second stage of development is where the species take a form akin to that of a Salpidae where the offspring bond together and will prey on any
