Item #: SCP-4089
Object Class: Euclid
Special Containment Procedures: SCP-4089 is to be kept in a cold room of temperatures -10°C or lower. No forms of life, living or dead, are allowed to be brought into contact with SCP-4089 unless authorised and under heavy surveillance. While an organism is inside the containment area, 2 airlock doors leading into the area must be kept airtight at all times. The door is not to be opened while a corpse remains inside the containment area.
Description: SCP-4089 is a large creature approximately 2 meters high. It consists of lots of decomposing body parts that have been taken from multiple species. Chemical analysis on the tissue shows that SCP-4089 manages to keep the limbs alive for as long as they are being used by the creature.
Upon D-Class personnel entering the containment area, SCP-4089 attacks the subject and kills them using a mixture of claws and teeth. Once the subject is dead, SCP-4089 will dissect them and separate each part into two piles. Once the creature is finished with the dissection, it will use one pile as a food source. However, the other pile will be used as a spare body parts. SCP-4089 tends to keep parts such as eyeballs, hearts, lungs and teeth.
Once it has obtained replacement parts, SCP-4089 will detach any old parts that are about to be replaced and will add them to the food source.
If SCP-4089 is not fed for a period of 1 month or over, it will begin to consume itself, detaching the least useful or oldest parts and eating them. It can survive for up [DATA REDACTED] months in this state before it refuses to eat any more.
The only part of SCP-4089 which has not been replaced is a small core at the centre of the being. Further analysis has failed due to SCP-4089 showing extreme aggression towards all subjects which approach it.
